Gold Star Archtop Banjo

This early 1980s Gold Star was recently in for repairs. I may be crass and say that I find D-Tuners to be the Floyd Rose of the banjo world. That said, this is as good as a Mastertone style banjo gets for me.

GS archtops are very powerful banjos set up right,....according to the hangout the ring isnt the same casting as the flatheads but they are powerful banjos.
Of course the vintage period Presta tailpieces contributed much to their tone.
