- This video captures everything I’ve learned on what it takes to do a thru-hike on the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT). For resources, I started with the Tahoe Rim Trail association website @tahoerimtrail...., read the Official Guide Tahoe Rim Trail by Tim Hauserman, reviewed the Tahoe Rim Trail Pocket Atlas, and watched quite a few CZcams videos.
I will be hiking this trail with 3 others. We are still in the process of locking down our logistics but I think we at least now have all the information we need to finalize our plan. I am hopeful this video will provide you with the required information to do the same.

Thank you so much. I think our plan for acclimation helped immensely. Our plans shifted a bit in an effort to meet our teams needs and we learned there are many ways to get the miles done. Flexibility is the key to success.

Very awesome that you are doing the TRT. I’m planning on solo thru hiking the TRT in August this year and looking at starting on the East side as well. Cheers to you. Excited about following along on your TRT journey. You brought up great logistical considerations.
