    I thought Carlos was in trouble after being down 5-7 0-2. I was thinking oh dear, he may have to come back from 2 sets to 0 down for the first time in his career to survive this one against this difficult match-up with Paul and that hope maybe Paul drops off a touch. What does Carlos do? He only drops 2 more games in each of the three remaining sets that he played and blasted Paul off the court with controlled aggression and variety... a serious change of tactics from earlier where he was grinding it out and counterpunching with Paul in the first half of the match where he was losing that tactical game to Paul. Stunning turnaround and Paul did match him with his own bag of tricks with his variety for another set and a half but then eventually ran out of answers to the Spaniard's tactical change. Carlos didn't need to come back from 2 sets to 0 down.

And visually I have a great memory of those matches and the thing always iritated me when he played were his BP conversions. Wimbledon channel showed more than the absolute minimum number of points per set in a highlight video. I'm speechless!

    Nicely done, Carlito! It was not Tommy’s day. 51 unforced errors is not going to get the job done.

    Uploader definitely favored T.Paul with more winner highlights compared to Carlos who had overall more winners. Also, these highlights need to be slightly longer.

    STOP putting the winner in the title and also in the caption of the video. Some people may be watching the highlights without knowing who won.

    One tactic Tommy should have used is to return the ball quickly to Carlos foot., this is effective for player against a player who runs fast like Carlos! LOl!

  • @jay_kulina
    @jay_kulina Před 14 dny +3

    Carlos doesn't even play well atm (except for the 4th set, where he was stress-free), but the boy knows how to win. As simple as that! I believe he has Medvedev's number, but still, he's gotta raise his level by a lot, if he wants to beat Novak (unless a miracle happens). This is simply not good enough! Too many easy mistakes. 4th set should be his guide. That's the level he needs for larger periods of time in a match, if he wants to repeat.
