      it's a good idea to tie it so it's more secure but it might unravel if it's cut too short. you can always tie a knot and still crochet the ends in

      What if you followed what she does in the video but also tie the tails of the yarn together? I’m not sure how it would work but it might add a little extra comfort since the knot would still be there but hidden and secured with the technique used in the video. I haven’t switched colours much when crocheting and haven’t crocheted in a little while but definitely want to start again soon. I’m definitely the same way though, I tie knots whenever I’m worried about how a yarn project will hold together (knitting, crocheting, etc).

      I always tie a knot before I crochet over my ends. I had a blanket come out of the wash with an end undone and unraveled about 6 rows once. After that I ALWAYS tie a knot. It works the same, you just tie a small knot before you work over the ends. :)

    • @stefanilabbe7497
      @stefanilabbe7497 Před rokem +13

      I use this same technique, although I leave the tails a bit longer. I usually crochet them into the row for about 10 stitches and then weave the tail back on itself twice. This ensures the yarn goes a different direction 3 times so it won’t come out. Tedious, but I’ve never had a project unravel doing it this way. Crocheting it into the row the first time just saves you from weaving it once.

    Thank you 🎉 I have watched at least three different videos of how to do this and they have all done it differently and it is messy. This is how I figured out how to do it myself the way you did it🎉

    I always forget about crochet during the year then get back into it during the holidays to make gifts for people. I really appreciate quick, to-the-point videos like this because I can't be watching a thirteen minute video of something i just need a refresher for. Thank uuu
