  • In February 2021, I took part in a self-supported brevet event riding the Kōpiko Aotearoa - a newly created 1,100km bikepacking route across the North Island of New Zealand. This is a summary of my experience and a love letter to bike travel, more generally.
    Check out my other NZ bikepacking film: • Bikepacking New Zealan...
    Thanks to the Kennett brothers, for establishing such a dope ride and brevet event, and to the many locals and other bikepackers that made this ride so special. Hopefully see you out there on another trail, somewhere.

    Great film and very inspiring. How did you find your tire choice for the mix of gravel and sealed roads? Would you get away with something more slick or do you need a bit of knobby tread for sections like the Timber trail? Want to do this.

    • @GregEdwardss
      @GregEdwardss  Před 3 lety +1

      The mezcals were pretty much perfect. Never used them before but they were great. You could defs use something more slick. I think the bigger factor is width. 2.1s would work great.
