- Russian strikes on a crowded hardware store and a residential area in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Saturday killed at least 11 people. The regional governor said there was "no contact with some of the staff" and "according to our information, visitors could still be in the building". Just over the border, in Russia's Belgorod region, the regional governor said four residents died in Ukrainian attacks on May 25. Putin said Russia “must always be one step ahead” of its adversaries and should maintain its technological advantage in order to “guarantee” victory.
