- Terje Tylden approached me about doing something with an idea/sketch he had earlier. I took his catchy "warehouse jam" and started laying down some foundations that I figured would suit the song, and it ended up being this upbeat pop tune you now can hear.

I started the track, heart the first notes and my view went out to find the sun in the sky. Well, it's December 2023 right now, no sun, just clouds and everything is wet. But anyway, I feel like it's summer again 🙂.

Thank you for supporting Espen with a well thought out and thorough explanation of the DMCA Espen filed.
The person using Espen's content is a known abuser of other people's content and has had easy 15 DMCAs filed against him over his 23 accounts in 3 years.
He is not innocent in any of these matters and he indeed is trying to piggyback off of Espen's work.
Go look at his Sinead video, it's not even his and that has gotten him traction.

@@AndersEngerJensen it's good you can see his intent, he was on SS last week wanting to be on the show, he was trickling donations and trying to control the show, when everyone ignored him, he abused everyone then made a video that Nick was dead to him.
I mean this is what he does, do you know all his subs are fake? around 2.7K, his channel has 100 accounts per day growth, yet YT does nothing.
THEN he expects to be allowed to use other people's content without their permission, this has nothing to do with fair use, it has to do with the owner of said content allowing others to use their content.
As you said, he piggy backs off the success of other channels, if you look real close to his channel, he has nothing, it's just an abundance of other people's content or some lame Tiktok vids where he is complaining over and over.
Espen is a gr8 character, his branding is, he is the 80s. He made this his focus of his channel, the other channel is trying to take this from him due to the fact he has not one original idea.
Thanks once again for pointing out the elephant in the room, and fwiw, that other poster Uncle Jerry? Well he is of similar character to SP, they're both toxic when it comes to how they do things. That's why they're a pillar of support for each other, they feed off each other's negativity.

They are on posts only for $5 tiers. If you search for posts with MIDI and/or STEMS, they should pop up. Not every song has them though, depending on legal issues or if had the time/energy to record them (it is very time consuming to do… 40-80 tracks times 4-6 min long songs… takes a day each usually.

Thanks. 😊 Well, that was his choice, I just got the stems of the finalized vocals and guitars into my new arrangement. I was actually using the vocal separation I did of his «Warehouse Pop» (linked at the end of the song).

Well, the vocal guitar stems come directly from Tylden so I had no control over them, this is the way he wanted them. I just made the arrangement off the quick warehouse pop demo he uploaded long time ago. 🤷🏼♂️
Far more people are using modern timing and/or pitch correction than you’re aware of - you’ve noticed it here because it’s been deliberately used as a vocal effect.
I’ve been playing music since I was 6 years old, and I can tell you it’s not really about practice. It’s about recording another 100 takes to match your exact timing or cadence but without the tiny mistake. Much more efficient to just nudge the timing in a DAW than do those 100 extra takes.
Ironically enough, it actually leaves a lot more time for genuine practice. (Performance is not using the same part of the brain as practicing and internalising a piece.) Or composing new tracks.
It’s not like I don’t understand the emotional reaction - I learned to draw on paper with pencil and got comfortable with erasing and redrawing entire sections dozens of times just to change one tiny piece. Seeing digital visual artists take shortcuts felt like cheating to me. But once I finally got a tablet which felt as good to draw on as paper (the trick was 120Hz it turned out), I slowly found myself using layers and the undo button as well.
I still think it was important that I learned the long way round, I doubt I’d have confidence in my lines or might be too precious about keeping them if I hadn’t; but forcing myself to go through it for every finished digital piece just feels like a waste of time.
