SpongeBob bringing back it's one-off or two appearance characters and turning them into multiple appearance characters is kinda like how MLP:FIM also brought back it's one-off or two appearance characters and turned them into multiple appearance characters.
I always keep up with the new episodes to at least give them a chance. And yeah, most are pretty good as far as I’ve seen. Now there can be some episodes that are annoying (ahem Squidward torture), but other than that, the show is at least trying more than other shows that have fallen off.
Between you and me, I think I’m guilty of this nostalgia thing myself. I’ve been paying homage to old cartoons a lot lately. Particularly the Paramount cartoons. Because I had to go on designing the episodes featuring the stars of Nickelodeon, MTV, Spike Tv, and even surprisingly Fleischer Studios. Case in point Transformers, Ren and Stimpy, Popeye, Gabby and more.
When it comes to the new episodes of SpongeBob, I enjoyed those more recent episodes as you may be right why they are likely going more retrospective to the episodes on it's 25th anniversary with returning characters and yet we don't have Squilliam returning yet despite his last appearance being on an episode from the dark age of the series. And that they add a new spin of them which can be a breath of fresh air at times. Also, I was amused on that joke at the end with Gary. 😂 Overall, this is another great video you did, Josh.
25 years wow we are officially old the reason why because basically I was younger and I did remember I did celebrate this anniversary back in 2009 when they had the ultimate spongeBash but there is one problem here it had a weird bad timing during after the marathon when someone hacked the Nickelodeon channel and that cost some kids traumatize if you guys remember that when I'm talking about and also one question for Gary if he wants to come to the show then what was the point that he decided to just stand and say I didn't do nothing at the end it was kind of weird and suspicions but oh well I guess that makes sense why he wants to be part of this Cameo because after all Gary's part of the SpongeBob universe as well
I don't think there's such a thing as "too much nostalgia" for a show that's been on for over 25 years, and is probably running out of ideas anyways. At this point, I don't really care what they do as long as it's fun.
I think people need a reminder of what post-classic Spongebob was like before this new nostalgia trend. Those episodes used to range from gross, frustrating, or just plain boring.
I actually like that the show is bringing back old characters or reference past episodes. It gives the show more continuity. Also, seasons 4-11 is just as great as seasons 1-3. Fight me.

I really hope the spin offs ended there god awful At least Kamp Kraol ended And as for the Sandy Cheeks movie....oh boy all I have to say is when it comes to Nickelodeon Movies this year let face it Lincoln & Ronnie Anne won I'll even throw in Garfield I know The Garfield Movie was made by Sony but Nickelodeon has the rights to it.
Doesn't Paramount Also Have The Sony Sitcoms And Also Bunk'd As A Jessie Spinoff Declined Itself By Replacing Characters & Adding New Ones If Patrick Star Show Replaced Patrick & His Family With The Citizens Of Bikini Bottom Then It's Gonna Be A What Bunk'd Is Today. But A Better Version Of Bunk'd Since Patrick Star Doesn't Need A Show
