i've never encountered a city that was so accomodating for buskers; when i went there in 2018, me & my sis had to get a (free) permit (guess they don't require that any more), but they didn't hassle us for exceeding 2 hrs (and didn't hassle me for my usual everpresent beer)
❤❤❤❤❤
It's super accommodating eh! So cool you were there! I wonder if it had been a dry day that I'd have had to move after 2 hours? In the down pour I didn't see any council rangers! 😃🙌
Totally awesome seeing you hanging out with a fellow Busker and fan of the Chanel. If I'm ever in the area I'll look you up. Although it's a little far from south Texas. But maybe one day. Until then I will keep following you on here and patreon. Hope you will put some behind the scenes stuff on there for us of your audition for the underground. That'd be great. Really nice to see your Chanel growing and seeing you get the recognition you deserve. Musicians are are a tight nit group and we look out for each other and cheer each other on. We're all pulling for you. Keep up the great work one song at a time.
This is rad. It's so true - a fellow musician once said to me, "musicians support musicians" - it's something I try to embody! I will most certainly put a "behind the scenes" of my audition on Patreon John, this is a great shout! 😃 thank you as always for the support and I'm sure one day I'll be in South Texas! 🙌
So you totally ignored my advice about going to Swansea. I’m glad you enjoyed. The guy you met, I’ve seen him at open mics. He’s typical of the people in Wales. Very friendly. I live 10 miles up the valley. The weather was typical of Wales.
The folk of Wales were so friendly whilst I was there. Always up for a chat and super cheery despite the rain! 😃🙌 Really love it there! Love that you're local! I'll definitely be returning at some point!
If I knew you were coming I would have made the effort to meet up. It just seems along way from Brighton to travel for a busk. I busked in Swansea some years ago. But my bladder makes it difficult now. I prefer open mic nights . @@AugustRadioProject
Hah Ben, what an Amazing thing to have met a man named Touran that was so inspired by your Channel that he travelled 1000,s of miles to find you there on those, yes Wettest of Streets of Swansea, loved his choice of song I must say, do believe its in my list too !! Touran had a fine voice and did go there I agree ! I said i think in my earliest of comments to you that your Channel would go far ..... seems I was right and you do ! Brother your videos of Joy are Shining a Good Light to the People ! A Flame of " Busking and Music " Too bad those " Pooh Sitcks " did not float by to say a Hello , but then again who needs them when we got " August Radio Project! " ;)) GodSpeed Sir !
hello @brianjones4026 . its Tarun not Touran . i'm glad you liked my voice. ben is too good. now, my brother . hopefully we do some good music together.
Thank you Brian! Love this comment. Tarun is a legend, he's pretty nifty on a loop pedal too! 😃 It's so rad to have the channel growing like it is and I can't thank the early supporters like yourself enough 🙌 I am also a little gutted I didn't see the Pooh Sticks out in the wild! 🤣
Looks like Swansea has to go on the list! Excellent video as always.
Thank you Marshlander! Definitely recommend giving Swansea a visit 😃🙌
Dude, your voice is just getting better & better! Is it confidence? Or maybe the sheer amount of practice you get from busking continually?... Dunno, but anyhoo it's sounding great :) When's your next single release? Hint hint.
Thank you man! I’m even surprising myself sometimes 🤣 it must be logging all these hours of practice - it’s just shaping my vocal chords - busking magic eh!!
Next single release should be end of March/beginning of April - announcement coming soon! 👀😃🙌🏻
Awesome video…so rad that they have wet weather pitches!
Appreciate it dude! Wet weather pitches are a bit of a game changer! 😃🙌
Here is what I’ve learnt about wales. It looks lovely and I can’t speak Welsh.
🤣🤣🤣 this is spot on! Wales is a rad place. Gotta get back there soon! 🙌😃
great harmonies singing with that dude :)
I know, it’s so cool eh! 😃 I do love a rad harmony!
Great video as always I'm not a busker but I enjoy watching your adventures in busker land. I play the keyboard and was wondering if you see any keyboard buskers on your travels ? I have looked through CZcams here for videos of keyboard buskers but they are far and few between. Anyway keep up the good work and enjoy your time busking.
Stoked you’re following the journey! 🙌🏻 genuinely appreciate it so much! I see a fair few keyboard buskers out in the wild, I’ve even see a few folks with full blown pianos that they’ve attached to wheels 🤣😃 buskers can definitely get creative!
imagine spending a day trying to get to swansea only for the track to get flooded 💀
The amount it rained that day was crazy! Wild it flooded the train! 🙌🏻🙈
I'm busker too, hopefully you can visit our country and do busking. Btw I'm from Philippines
This is rad! I'd love to busk in the Philippines one day! 😃🙌
Great video as always…..quick question….where did the name August Radio Project come from? You might have said on previous videos maybe but I am just curious……or nosey lol.😊. Cheers
Thank you!! Appreciate it as always 😃 I’ve definitely mentioned it on some videos but maybe it’s time to dedicate a video to this story? I’ve had a few people ask recently. The shortest version is that I wanted to start a ‘solo’ kinda music venture when my old band split up but I didn’t want to call it my actual name for several reasons: I’d done a stint as a solo artist before the band and wanted to make sure there was a definitive difference, I wanted to make sure that it was clear this wasn’t just a singer/songwriter - even early on I wanted it to have a CZcams channel and make more than just music and mainly that I resonate with a lot of musicians/CZcamsrs who call themselves something rather than their birth name 🙌🏻 August Radio Project were the three words I settled on. August is a significant month for me as well as a cool name/word, Radio & Project refer to the idea that this is a type of ‘broadcast’ that isn’t necessarily designated to one medium 😊 there were a few times that I wondered if I should change it towards the beginning but every time I had these thoughts someone would tell me how much they loved the name (without them knowing I was having doubt) but now I love it! Stoked to be ARP 😎
Hey Ben! Im curious. Do you edit this videos all by yourself? And also, what program or app is being used? I just can't get over how good they look and sound. And also, do you write and record the background music by yourself? ✌️
Hey Luis! Yes I edit them 😃 I use Adobe Premiere Pro - I’m so stoked you’ve said this, I try my best with editing. It’s something I’m always working to improve and have been since I started this journey! It turns out you learn a thing or two when you make a video every week for 3 years 🤣🙌🏻 the background music is sometimes mine but mostly I use the royalty-free tracks that CZcams provide 😊
Great stuff really appreciate the Swansea busking info as im practising nearly ready to go out and make some music again..ive buying a harmoniser pedal to give a full sound wondered have you ever used one in yr busking? All good totally Rad ...
interesting idea, im on similar territory, i rather like this one " The Best Ambient Guitar Pedal Got Even Better?! | Walrus Audio Slötva Reverb | Gear Corner " , damn Crazy or waaaht !! :,?? .... but am wondering what solution you suggest to powering these pedals on the street ??
Yea Ive bought the Boss VE 2 made for buskers harmoniser which is AA battery powered ...check it out on CZcams..usually about £189.00
Cheers..inspired due to ARP to get busking..
Swansea is an epic city for busking, from what I experienced anyway! 😃 I haven't actually ever used a harmoniser pedal but I do know a few folk that do. In fact, Turan, who is the subscriber who sings with me in this video, had a harmoniser pedal that he showed me. It's definitely a good idea to get that fuller sound. It's something I'm thinking about for sure! 🙌
What does busking mean?
Street performing! 😃🙌
@@AugustRadioProject ok, being from Berlin the expression was unfamiliar. Thanks
Working in Swansea at the moment I could connect well with your vid
How old do u have to be to busk
Music has no age restrictions. If you can entertain, you can busk.
It depends where you are. The byelaws in Birmingham state that only people over the age of 16 can perform on the street. Like Ben does, check the local council regulations.
UK Government say from 14 years old but I've seen and met a few younger buskers! 😃🙌
@@AugustRadioProject thank you
