I like how they wanted to solve tediousness by replacing sextants with scarabs and they've created a league where you need to buy and use a bunch of rare allflames every map
As a peasant I dropped one of the rogue exile scarabs that sold for 170C, paid for one of my upgrades XD
One definite positive, anyone can drop anarchy allflames or a div scarab and get a good amount of currency

That is standard GGG, I remember in 3.15 we had a lot of nerfs and the "we want to go slower" GGG new thing, then in 3.16 we had Scourge, probably the fastest core mechanic to ever exist in the game, in which you had to go fast to be able to find and kill the scourge boss in the map, if you didn't go fast enough you either couldn't find or kill the boss.
@@originpk9960 they pulled back that nerf cuz they lost so many players during 3.15.. which sucks it was paired with such horrid nerds cuz imo expedition is one the coolest leagues.
@@zelbeis30 I don't think that is correct, the player retention in 3.14 and 3.15 was pretty much the same, the loss from 3.13 to 3.14 was pretty significant tho, and they nerfed the game even more in 3.17.
Things started to get better only on 3.20, but they did some buffs and changes on 3.19, not enough as it was the worst player retention patch in PoE history, considering the first 2 months.
I like it being more accessible without having mf gear. but i do not like it feeling like you have to play this way when the game barely functions with that many mobs.

i'm one of the mads, because an average player like me feels like left behind, i spent so much time in this game playing the way i like, but i feel unrewarded, unless i get on the wagen of meta and do the thing i dont enjoy...

That’s such a bullshit take, the economy cannot be ruined, just do content that is not commonly done, essences can still net you 7 divs an hour on the low end and upwards to 15 divs if you invest, golden oils are as expensive as ever and you drop them very frequently with blight atlas, sanctum are still crazy rewarding and the uniques are still worth a lot
I was a metacuck last league, and while it was fun having a load of currency and mirrored gear, it got boring pretty quickly because I had nothing to chase. Any crazy build was far too expensive, we're talking 15+ mirrors, and I was already able to do all content with complete ease so it felt somewhat pointless.
This league I've been too busy irl and haven't been able to jump on the same bandwagon as everyone else, and while I feel as though I can't find a good money-making strategy that fits my preferred playstyle, I can still have fun with the game and not care about my currency.
The only real issue I have with this league, and I guess recent leagues in general, is the lack of responses when trading. It seems as though bots are buying up anything the instant it is listed, and then people are reselling on a specific discord server. You'll see people listing specific allflames and corpses in the hundreds at a bulk markup, and it makes you wonder how they managed to get that many. I know these farming strats are crazy good, but a few hundred anarchy allflames is a bit sus.

Thats a 30d per map or so, curation scarab goes for 23d atm.

It is stupid. But its so far removed from how i play that it doesn't impact me that much other than my occasional 'big' drop might not be worth so much. We probably do need POE 2 to act as a reset button though.
Big drop might be worth less but other stuff is worth way more, oils catalysts and other gated contented is comparatively worth even more
Its cool that it exists, its probabbly doable by people who have exceptional characters, its is however stonewalled for the "avarage" player. I play 2-4 hours tops, and not everyday. Im still barrely able to do red maps, i still havent unlocked my first favorite map slot. So see in the economy as it is right now without having even a div in the stash, its kind of a bummer. But never the less, i still kinda like this league, i try to ignore the 1% crafters and juicers, i just play to have fun. And i think thats what this community of POE is forgetting... to have fun

As someone who doesn't go hard in any league, and normally struggles clearing t16 maps and has maxed at 2 div builds, and 2 voidstones. This gives me hope that I might finally be able to convince myself to grind more and finally get to play with a HH or mageblood. so i like it
not a big fan of the current farming strategies , seems to make almost everything worthless. In the past leagues getting a big ticket item like a HH or MB was a goal for the whole league and you were rewarded with an amazing feeling when you were able to achieve this. Now it makes it pointless since they are very easy to get. We are only 2 weeks into the league and already the prices of items are dirt cheap.
By the time an average person can farm their HH/MB the league is dying or burnt out. Making them slightly more accessible so more people can actually have fun with them seems like a good thing to me.

Scarcity, chase items and long-term goals have always been the motor of this types of games. If you don't have anything to pursue, you will stop playing ; and that's what will happen here very soon following the Affliction and Necropolis trajectory. And in addition, there needs to be unattainable items that the masses cannot obtain. As the previous comment stated ; this league/state of the game feels pointless.

This league for sure is best for people like me who makes their own builds since we can actually buy stuff for dirt cheap. Those who follow trends and blame the youtubers/streamers when it doesn't work or when the prices rockets are the ones who don't have any long-term goals to begin with they just want to copy the new hot thing and there's always new trends happening almost everyday so they will never burnout.

why t17? is it just because they have higher quant due to the map mod multipliers?
It can roll the special torment map mod, combine that with the atlas nodes for more quant = gg
Is this do-able on vaal temple? You wouldn’t get the ghost spawn but maybe for builds that can’t do T17s?

As someone who has played multiple leagues and never been able to afford a headhunter or mageblood, i think its cool theres some aspirational content i might be able to get those high end items without massive amounta of trading.

Put 50 hours into the league so far and have nothing to show for it. I like the fact that drops are more accessible but it feels like its at the cost of running content you want to do specifically. Appreciate the video, hope it saves my league.

Probably even for 100-150div its all about hh buffs but you dont have time i think this is gonna be nerfed soon

As someone who farms a mage blood week 1 consistently, I have to say this is just not fun anymore. Juicing has and always will be something enjoyable that people can do, but the recent obsession with maximizing unique drops and div cards above all else makes the game way less enjoyable for me and many others. You can enjoy these strategies, mfers can as well, but between this and affliction we've seen unprecedented levels of gatekeeping for high-end currency making, widening the gap between the average player and a 0.1% player. For most items this is very good, with headhunter being cheap and other uniques as well; however, items that cannot be farmed through these ultra-juice methods become wildly overpriced and require in some way buy-in to the meta strategies to afford. This is the same exact problem affliction league ran into, and I sincerely hope the game stops catering to ultra-juicing and wildly tones down the level to which players can make their maps drop more items.

MF is magic find. It means quantity and rarity gear. Lightning arrow is one of the best MF characters but you need absolutely insane gear to do this farm. Mirror tier physical bow for starters

@@superking___ brother 50% of LAs damage is phys u convert the other 50. It’s what Fubgun is doing with his t17 LA build anyway and that’s where LAs damage over takes Elemental hit of the spectrum.

honestly only thing keeping me semi invested this league are the challenges at this point, kind of want to get that challenge reward where after trading peeps junk falls on em about it, so if you go in playing with that mentaility it's atleast something to strive. I already got tons of mirrors, MB's, HH's in standard and could careless, but the economy is in a worst state then affliction lol
As an essence farmer, i am happy about all the cheaper loot. Means i can try out more builds, especially builds that were out of my budget in past leagues! 😂

no you can't do it in t16 the tormented ghost mod is only in t17

Honestly it wouldn't be so game breaking if they didn't make the extremely short-sighted changes with divination scarabs. They have seriously hurt the game by repeatedly taking away exclusive loot from different farms. Now non-MF content isnt mandatory enough to balance out what MFing pours into the economy.
I'm gonna let you in on a little secret : the game designers are mediocre at best, period.

What's funny to me is people going crazy over cheap hh and mageblood when 6 t1 30q phys weapons are even cheaper. A headhunter is a headhunter, but unless you have mirrors you're not getting a sword, claw etc like that in another league.
If you don't have a 200 div meta farming, the average player feels sad. T17s aren't for the average player farm and the barrier for entry it too high
To be fair this means that MB's, HH's etc will continue tanking so for the more casual players things will become more afforable, well anything that can be recieved from cards lol
So you farm the scarabs+allflames for the t17 farmers its a win win

All I can say is thanks for the cheapest HH ever. Casually farmed one in two evening sessions. If this is not patched Mageblood will be dirt cheap as well soon. I will happily scoop one up too and see what build to play next with it :D

@@eromisimo I took most of the scarab nodes, beyond, niko buff, shrines, red altar (with all pack size nodes) and harbingers. Then I use scarabs for niko, div, harbinger and influence packsize (something of hordes). Works really well on a zoomy ice shot I made myself. The borrowed power from niko and shrines helped till I got the HH. Now I it's very chill. Profit is nice from tainted currency, bubblegum currency and scarabs, plus some div card drops here and there. It is a pain to convert to divines, but you can make 10 div/h if you are fast with a strict filter and only sell in bulk.
Nah this is silly, the cost of entry is a 34 Div scarab.. and this is devaluing so many things.

You can do this in t16s to start, with like 50 div builds, ans yes it costs like 30 div a map but you make way more so you probably only need like 100 div total to farm like this

If rogue exiles were rare instead of unique everything would be fine. Unique monsters have special drop rates of stuff.
I actually really enjoy the rogue exile shenanigans, but I think this is too much. Honestly I don't think it's the allflame that's the biggest issue either, it's the full div card stack scarab. That scarab is what's enabling some of the most insane farming strats this league, that really only can be fully taken advantage of by MF players that have mirror tier gear or group strats, and that's just not fun. The difference in profit per hour shouldn't be so drastic that it makes people feel like they're just wasting their time doing anything else.
If it wasn't the div cards, it would be the uniques. It's both.

@kokorochin01 From watching the farms, I really didn't see any crazy uniques drop commonly. It was mostly just flat currency due to the Beyond scarab, and div cards for the crazy uniques. I only really watched fubgun doing the strat though. I did hear that grimro had a lot of crazy uniques dropping though, from his strat. Is that what you mean?
@jeffypwnzu Right. A lot of them are centered around the rogue exiles allflame too, which is unfortunate. I do think it's a fun allflame, but it would be the easiest piece to remove to fix the problematic farms.

I isually nolife the 1st week of the league, but this time around i decided not to, and i feel like was the worst idea ever, the economy is broken, the low investment strat dont work as they used to, and all because of the t17 + allflame crazy strats, on one hand the price of scarabs and the entry cost keep rising up, on the other hand feels like if you're not farming t17 you're doing something wrong, and i feel like quitting everyday, the first time it happens.
The only positive notes is Necropolis Crafting + the Fractured bases that cost very cheap; and since corpse farming its a low investment strat, and every map drops dozens and dozens of corpses, they dont cost a lot, resulting in very good gear for relatively cheap.
do you think i can do this map as a juiced corrupting fever champ with HH?

Use a basic harvest tree, i use the maxroll one, a basic harvest tree mixing eater of worlds nodes and torment spirits + running jungle valley maps with scarab that increase 40% magic packs, harvest scarab that duplicates the juice loot, thats the safe run you pretty much only spend 12-15 chaos per run to gain like 50 or more, if you get good eldrich % quantity altars in the map before entering the harvest you can gain way more, if you want to gamble in harvest you can use horned scarab of awakening imbued, tho its kinda shit now, cus everyone is running harvest, so this scarab price increased insanely, now its basicaly a div
@@rijsmiddel8765 Use harvest farm from maxroll, consist in jungle valley map harvest with duplicate scarab + increase magic pack scarab, you can gamble in it with you want if awakening scarab, use eater eldrich and torment spirits, get a bunch of quantity rolls on eldrich altars inside the map and do the grove

And there is one more problem I see. Having so many drops should mean that those things should be cheaper. But no, all those things are as expensive as ever.
So an average player will still have really hard time with getting things like mb or hh. And for the top few %? A way to ger richer
we all love cool techs, we love tons of loot and lootsplosion, but i will never do a map that cost me half my stash to do, that i wont clear to the end cuz of my PC + character... the problem here i think is that there is a lot of balance issue on this league... affliction was for me and most of us one of the beast league we had since ages, but it was kind of balance? you have tons of loot to gear and make harder content to get more loot to gear more etc... here its more frustrating than anything... there is some broken techs... the rest is ... MEH...worthless; add to that the barrier entry for some techs are too high because it shares things with other strats for example imbued scarab.... i dont mind nerfs unless it makes everything bad, im good for buffs, its better to have everything broken or at least good than trash tier things and broken tier things with no middle ground...

The game feels weirdly "solved" to me with this + graveyard. Graveyard lets you almost print 6x T1 items so rares are solved, and now this strat solves uniques and currencies. I've played since 2016 and have never felt like this before.

How come you take speaker of the dead? I thought having the ghosts go inside the rogue exiles would be good for quant no? Do you play around having that keystone at all, or you just play "normally" either way?

The "Rare and Unique Monsters spawn a Tormented Spirit on reaching Low Life" Map modifier can no longer roll on Tier 17 Maps. Existing Maps with this modifier now instead have "Unique Bosses are Possessed".
I love how people whine about not being able to do this while smart people just farm the mats to run these set ups. Farm all flames and scarabs and youre gucci lads. 👌

But yeah regardless, this league is garbage, and so was Affliction ; it has become a loot shower simulator... forcing you into specific meta strats in order to be able to compete in the economy.
As someone who's been playing extensively since 2013, I find it sad and it demotivates me from playing. If the game doesn't change course in the next league, I will stop playing.

eh, I doubt they envisioned this. they just dont have enough good testers. they will probably knee-jerk triple-tap these strategies, probably kill the torment mod and disable anarchy allflame and hotfix rework one of the div scarabs. Of course only after the wealthy ones get to farm boatload of currency.

What if, now hear me out.. what if the actual content in the game was remotely rewarding to do for the actual content specific rewards? What if you could just get a few divines consistently from chain running 200%+ maps without needing some new combo that exploits the game? It's crazy how absolutely jack shit nothing drops from doing most of the regular league mechanics regardless of how many monsters there are.

I despise such meta-farming.. only getting fomo because my build can't handle it and I don't have enough money to start farming it. And farming anything else feels shit since you see results of these meta-farming strats everywhere and compare your non-existent profits to it
Take a different perspective. This farm actually doesn't shit out raw currency so divine prices are relatively stable, instead we get much cheaper t0 uniques and scarabs, plus you can supply these people with the allflame and scarabs they need, the overall impact isn't even a net negative
