QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you have anything more difficult to remove than the rusty lugnuts I demonstrated in this video? What size compressor would you use to run this air tool?

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you have anything difficult to remove that compares to the rusty lugnuts I demonstrated in this video. What size compressor would you use to run this air tool.
Rusty axel nuts
@@JoeyLovesTrains I found WD-40 Specialist Penetrant the best for that situation.
So are there any plans in your future to get the

@@terrellscaife2411 Not at this point, but I do have a couple difficult items that it would be handy for.
Yup, I always read the owners manuals. One thing I would mention is that the hose size on the compressor is important. I have a friend that was having trouble getting his mower blades off from his lawn tractor. I went to help him and found he was using one of those plastic coiled hoses which only has a 1/4", or 3/8", ID. It could not supply enough air to run the impact wrench effectively. I told him to get a new 1/2" ID hose. Then the impact removed his mower blades.
That's a good point. I used to own that coiled yellow style hose for running an 18 ga brad nailer. It eventually started leaking, so I replaced it with something else.
3/8" will absolutely get the job done. I have a Husky 30 gallon, 6 cpm compressor and the Husky impact wrench with 800 ft lb of torque, and it's never has an issue removing anything, including the lugs off of a '62 Lincoln that was sitting in a field in rural Oklahoma for at least 25 years. The common mistake that people make is using a 3/8" hose, but still use the 1/4" fittings. You cannot park a 40' RV inside of a 32' garage.
I have this impact and use it all day in a tire shop. Plenty of power and pretty quiet. The price can't be beat.
That's cool to hear! I like the power this has.🙌💯
I never read the instruction manual but I more of a Milwaukee guy, love the gen 3 m18 fuel. Good video
Thanks, I haven't tried Milwaukee's impacts yet. I'm sure they have some nice power.
Yes, I definitely read it.
I would set the compressor pressure to the max and buy one 5 gallon tank connect to the compressor for your air impact. For the price of your air impact wrench, I would get an Aircat compact with 550 ft-lb for small compressors.
Sounds like an interesting idea. Thanks for posting.
Those little aircats are BAD@SS !!
@@markarmstrong3394 Thanks for the head up.
What would a 5 gallon tank look like? I have a similar compressor? It has enough cfm to do the job but the capacity is quite small.
@@ryy597 Walmart has a 5-gallon air tank for portable air. It adds at least 2 Scfm air to power your tool.
Im an entry level mechanic, would you reccomend this for entry level?
Yes, absolutely! I just used mine last weekend for a brake repair and it worked well.
Just got mine today. 🤩🤩🤩
😎💯🙌
Just use it this thing is a BEAST!🤩
@@elcincopatasramirez5497 I especially like the sound this one makes compared to battery or electric impact wrenches.
Would a compressor that size supply enough pressure to remove strut bolts? The torque spec is 179ft/lb.
Edit: I always read the owner’s manual first thing out of the box.
I would think so.
Nice review for husky impact wrench 💪👌
Thanks, man!
Acorn nuts if you have no wheel covers or live in rust prone areas, they're not just for style.
Interesting idea, thanks for sharing.
How and where do you apply the oil? What kind of oil? Please advise because manual does not explicitly state this.
You add drops of tool oil inside the area where the air hose connects to. I normally put 5-8 drops in each day that I use the tool. You can buy tool oil at any home improvement center. My favorite is the Senco Tool Oil. Here's a link... amzn.to/3MO7Dai
Thank you sir 🙏
Most welcome
Nice I have the 650 version
Awesome, I like the sound it makes along with the power.
Yeah buddy, I just picked up the husky

Super nice little impact. I used to have one by Snap-on but got screwed over with how expensive it was.
Thanks, this one is a great option, especially for the price.
i had problems placing the sockets on the wrench. couldn't do it. any ideas.
I've run a couple different brand of sockets on mine and they went on fine. Sometimes I turn an impact upside down and hit the socket against the floor to seat it on the impact. If that doesn't work, maybe you need to exchange it.
does it work on semitrucks?
You need 3/4 drive impact wrench for Semis. Husky makes an impact with 1200ft on on breakaway torque
are you putting new wheels, tires and lug nuts on a trailer that is turning into rust ??
No, putting new wheels and tires on the aluminum trailer that won't ever rust. The ol wheels are still decent and going on the rusty firewood hauler trailer.
I know a lot of tool makers could sell items for less so... Is it a money thing or just the brand name that counts???
I recommend tools that are built to last and a company that stands behind their product. I’m sure you’ll be happy with this impact wrench.
What setting did you use to torque the lug nuts. Low,medium or high?
I went on the high setting. I have a torque wrench to fine tune the tightness.
@@MarkThomasBuilder Thanks! I'm picking up one today at HD. I'm going to rotate my tires and was going to do with manual tire wrench :( so I thought about getting pneumatic impact. I saw your video and you made look easy. 4reals screw that manual that would be a back breaker to loosen and tighten manually. Thank you!!
You bet, hope it works well for you. I also like the sound this one makes. It makes me feel like I'm in a pit crew.👊
Would it still be a strong with a 20 gallon air tank
I would be able to get by with a 20 gallon tank. You may have to be patient on occasion for the compressor to top off.
Why do I give you a thumbs down? A twin hammer and a twin-clutch are two different structures. There is NO twin hammer clutch in an air impact wrench.
Whats the air hose size?
3/8"
Funny thing is some of those small compressors has high scfm and less for the bigger ones especially the harbor freight brands
Interesting, I haven't tested out a Harbor Freight one, but will keep that in m mind.

👍👏😀
