If you look up HDMI Config for Raspberry Pi there is a way to boost the HDMI if it's not bright enough. All kinds of info on adjusting the HDMI. Another way to do it is to use Twister OS. Pull down the settings menu and there is a brightness option, it will wash out the color set too high but there is a nice range. You can put an icon on the desktop for it. I just put a 7" hdmi touchscreen with Pi4 in an old portable DVD player. Pi4 sticks off the back of the screen, but it's like a tiny laptop. The original intent was to use the hinges to mount just the screen to my boombox. It was too nice I couldn't cut it for the hinge.

Hi, I've watched 3 of your videos for connecting the RPix to an LDC with touch screen because I also have an issue that could use a solution I have not found yet.
A display from a rear view mirror. it has 2 MIPI interface cables one 40 pin for the screen display and a 30 pin for the digitizer or touch controls. I want to connect this display to a raspberry pi since the board that came in the DVR Rear view mirror has an os problem and it just keeps rebooting. So far I know there is no access to reset the Android embedded system via USB/UART or anything so I want to replace the board with a raspberry to control the dash cam and view my rear camera. I am missing a connecting device between my lcd display and the Pi that allows for touch controls.
You have mentioned earlier in the video that you were having issues with touch controls too. Have you figured out a solution? Also what is the vendor for this connector with 40 pin to the raspberry pi? TIA. Great job on your channel.
