  • Had to try out my new fuse from cannonfuse.com - I wanted to see how the fuse propagated as it burned. Much more flame from these than I expected although a couple were from other sellers I bought yrs ago... Fuse test speeds down below
    30 sec/ft
    20sec/ft
    15sec/ft
    10sec/ft X 2
    5sec/ft
    2sec/ft
    1sec/ft
    .50sec/ft
    .25sec/ft
If you need fuse check out cannonfuse.com

Hey brother, just so you know this video is still very useful. I shared this with a younger pyro that asked me about burn rates. 👍🏻💥💥💥💥💥

Damn that was an awesome video. I like how you put a slower piece of fuse in front of every different fuse. You could get ready for the poof on the faster ones. Great video. Keep it up!!

Seems that some Chinese visco manufacturers use a sulfur-less black powder. Also, charcoal is cheaper than KNO3. So, I'm just guessing that the BP in some of these fuses may have as much as 40% charcoal. All I know for sure is that they generate a lovely spray of embers.

Nice fuse. All the different speeds have a different use. Liking the quarter second a foot. Great to fuse finale racks and cakes

PyRoOWL 1995 Thanks bud. Its really nice to have all these different speed fuse now days. Sure helps out with layout planing etc. I will be using prolly at least 3 different speeds for a backyard show im shooting in sept

Will the really fast ones transfer back to a slower fuse? Might have to use tape to ensure proper ignition vs zips.

    • @houseoffire72
      @houseoffire72  Před rokem

Yes. I've litterly over the years have prolly done 10'S of thousands of fuse connections. I use hvac foil tape because it's crazy sticky and contains all the flame... Never once had a fail that I can remember using it... Zip ties kind of suck IMHO. They are just not consistent - to many variables..! I have vids somewhere on my channel that shows a few different methods I use(d) over the years.

Nice!! I like that fact that even tho its not coated it did light off from a stray spark. I've had that happen a lot with the quick fuse from big.

Randy J Never had a issue with the slower burning fuse thats why I layed them out how I did. I knew the slag would blow to the others that are uncoated - no premature ignition.
