I did 6 years with a choir and in my 2nd bass line I've got around 2 octaves. Gave it up when that started to drop - I'm old and my breathing isn't what it used to be - (friends have suggested blowing up balloons as a great breathing exercise, BTW!)

If you look up the opposite of soul this is what comes up
i absoustly hate this stlye of music, its extremely monotone there is no feeling no life to the vocals at all and you can see it on your face. yes its sweet and soft and maybe there a couple of songs that work on but 90% of the songs you cover you KILL because you lose all the life that was put into the sound.
