    I love making floral herbal candles! I infuse the wax with my loose leaf tea. When I sell them I add in big bold lettering for use with candle warmer or decorative piece only! Very big Lettering! Though people don’t listen or read…. But it is on the bottom of the candle/teacup.

    Thank you so much!… ❤️You are the first person that has literally answered my question as to how and what happens when you put dry leaves inside a candle! All these videos I’ve watched they’ve demonstrated how they make them but never really even gone through to show the process!🥺 and your video was amazing🥰 thank you so much for showing me☺️ I’ve been trying to ask questions as to what happens after it’s burning ? If it’s safe? And you have answered them all thank you so much greatly appreciate it!❤️

    I make these. It’s very important to not add too many buds and petals. And yes always at the edges. I use crystals n iridescent glitter in mine aswell. You could make some cute tea lights with the left over. ☺️

    Thank you for making this! I have heard that this could be unsafe with wicked candles but some people may use this method of decor with wickless candles instead as they don't have a flame. But seeing them with wicked candles makes it that much more informative!!

    I’ve made candles with dried flowers. When my flower floats to the wick, it did catch fire as well, but it went out on its on. When the candles are to the bottom and all of the wax is gone that’s when it may be a serious hazard.

    Too many flowers and 3 wicks definitely can be bit risky. I’d vote for very little flowers and perhaps a smaller 1 wick candle. The whole buds catch fire more so than the crumbs when used with scarcity.

      Yeah, just shred the roses in tiny little pieces and add them. To all who would love to sell them: NEVER add dried flowers when selling candles: they will burn, you will be responsible. It looks nice, I know, but its too dangerous. Just tiny pieces are safe.

    Hi I loved the video, the candle looks beautiful, but me personally I'm afraid to put dry flowers.
    Question I read on a comment you said you use mica colors on candles, dont the mica could clot the wicks?

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, I feel the same way, 😊 if you use a little mica and just sprinkle it on the top it does not affect the wick.

    I bought this wax by the case..you pour at 160 temp by the way.. and it does perform so perfectly for candles and wax tarts..however the scent is horrible! It has a SOAP SMELL LIEK THE KIND YOU WOULD USE TO MAKE HOMEMADE LAUNDRY DETWERGENT FLAKES WITH...i CANT GET PAST IT..WHEN CANDLE WAX MELTS LOSE THE SCENT AFTER BURNIGN YOU THEN SMELL IT AGAIN! SORRY FOR CAPS

    Okay so you did a fabulous job editing & making this very informative.. However I do have a sincere question that I am generally wondering... How is small dried flowers catching a secondary micro flame in a Candle a fire hazard? I mean well I promise so don't come for me people.. I burn candles every day. I've made a couple with my daughter, I'm no expert. But I am just puzzled at how at any point of burning said candle is a bigger fire hazard with dried flowers vs just a plain burn.?? Best Wishes I look forward to learning more! ❤

    • @martimcvey5506
      @martimcvey5506 Před 8 měsíci

      I think it's. MOre of a toxic hazard than fire hazard cause your right a flame is a flame but clean burn is better and toxic burn setting if smoke alarms etc

  • @matthewmichaelmoschella9548

    I know this question doesn’t go with the video put i was wondering your thoughts on joywax. The candles themselves look amazing but im having a heck of a time getting good cold and hot throws from it. Little to non in alot of cases. Ive followed directions to a T and also played around with it a bit but cant find anything that works. Ive noticed in other blogs that the c/h throw is an issue. I love the wax for its ease of use and smooth tops it produces but most people want a candle they can smell lol. Im new to candle making and chose this wax because natural products are important to me. Any suggestions? Or another wax you could recommend that is easy to work with and is natural.

    • @ilaydasayin9257
      @ilaydasayin9257 Před 3 lety +1

      I used joy wax after watching her video, I spent months trying out wicks and fragrance percentages, nothing worked.. so I gave up and switched to coconut wax, hot throw is good but I m still trying the wicks.. I wouldn’t waste more time on joy wax if you believe you have spent enough time testing

      @matthewmichaelmoschella9548 Před 3 lety

      @@ilaydasayin9257 thanks for the info. How is your experience with the coconut wax? Is it like joywax in that its pretty hard to mess up as far as smooth tops and glass adhesion and all or do you need to go back over them with a heatgun.

    • @ilaydasayin9257
      @ilaydasayin9257 Před 3 lety +1

      I had glass adhesion issue with coconut wax but my solution is to use darker color glass or metal tins. The tops are very smooth but not as great as joywax. I first tried soywax and the tops were really bad even after heatgun.. Coconut wax is so much better. I would read other people’s comments on joywax and based on those, not lose more time and switch the wax, since smell is the most important thing. The tops are very smooth though! I hope it helps

    I cringe every time I see a candle covered in petals. I have a candle that comes with a few on it but it's not drown in them. Most of them stay near the edge or bottom of the melted wax and hardly ever get neat the flame.

  • @marthienel2190

    This would have been more balanced if a candle with flowers on the sides, not the top, was also made. Crafters who use dried flowers usually refrain from putting the flowers on the top. So the video does not make a strong point for me.
