Thank you for sharing! Scammers are smart and getting brave. I listen to Doc Compton and he busts scammers all the time. It's hard to believe how professional they sound. I receive scam emails all the time. It's really scary. Good thing you were paying attention and being diligent.

Thanks for spreading the news! It’s good to know! I’m such a small channel that I’ve never gotten any collab emails but I’ve heard scammers are getting a lot better about making things sound legit.

Thanks for sharing with us. This has happened to me so many times, my CZcams channel is not as big as yours, and they still do send me collaboration emails which sound too good to be true. I just delete all of them. I don't click on any links in any social media outlets, I had such a bad experience shopping at facebook and IG. We all have to be in the alert 24/7, and it doesn't matter if you have a platform or not, anyone can get this kind of emails.

I get emails several times a week for collaborations and they all appear fake. The email address is a dead giveaway. I don’t know if I’ll ever trust an email enough to do a collaboration because they do all seem either too good to be true or just sketchy in general. You were smart to trust your gut. Yes these fake emails come to me several times a week as well. Some of them are real but most are fake! I will always call now…

Always look at the email address. You can tell if it is legitimate. This was definitely a phishing attempt. Glad you didn't fall for this😊🙏🏿

I am not a content creator, HOWEVER, I had what looked like a email from my bank (a well known bank) it was phishing letter. I contacted the bank directly and they asked to forward it to their department for this sort of thing. This sort of thing is on the rise. Be careful. I am so pleased you were on the alert. When in doubt, don't do it! Contact the company first. Thanks for the warning.

I got scammed when I ordered a garden shed. Not only did they have that money they decided to set up 4 vinted accounts and 3 Amazon accounts in my name then contacted my bank asking for humourous amounts of money ranging from £10,000 to £0.01 dollar and have it transferred into Polish currency. What a cheek. I had to change my bank card and then set it all up again with my Amazon and paypal account that I've had for years. Please everyone be extra careful.

Most likely you should’ve never opened their email because they can also hack you through you open their email or send them anything
yes, luckily I have a vpn on my computer which adds another layer of security and reports have been coming back clean, thank goodness!
