Do you have trouble remember what you studied? This video is about how to remember what you studied
We have all read a page and then 5 minutes later don't remember what we just read. There is a simple process that you can follow to remember what you read.
To remember what you read:
1. Don't try to memorize as you read but instead highlight or underline the key words
2. Use the Mind Palace technique
3. Create pictures for all the words you have highlighted or underlines
4. See these pictures in your mind palace
5. Segment chapters by using rooms
6. Create pictures for dates if it is a history book
The main thing in remembering what you read is not to try to memorize as you read but take notes and then later go back and use the mind palace technique to remember what you have read. This works for students wanting to improve their memory for what they have read or business professionals wanting to remember what they have read
Follow these steps and this is how you remember what you studied

We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

I’ve used palace technique in our midterm and man. I rembered the 24 pages of each subject. I feel so confident that time and my brain just works and recall everything which is very awesome and helpful. ❤️ But right now, our finals is tomorrow and memorizing without understanding what you’re reading is very hard. So I came across of your video which also involve a memory palace and how can I use it more than just memorizing. Thank youu. ❤️❤️
I understand what you’re saying !!! Omg I’m smart
Mum: what are you doing?
Me: i see a penny driving a car around the fridge

So, the more things you need to remember, the more you need to move to a bigger house.
Nicolás Kessler 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well it doesn't need to be your house. It could be your school or even a made up place. If you wanted to use your house you could have a few more prices of furniture in your mind palace
😂😂😂
LMAO
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Like if you don't have enough rooms.
you can use rooms in video games that's you know very well
I try to use the grand home from gta vice city.
Brian Bonilla Use a familiar street.
Brian Bonilla 😂😂😂👍
Use past lived in houses. Routes that you took to school/ work and any of places (especially routes) that you should know very well. They can be very old memories too, as you normally don't forget these memories unless your neurons degenerate.
Thank you very much Mr.Ron White, I am from Sri Lanka , Sri Lanka has a memorizing educational syllabus , this video helped me a lot to memorize
As always, Ron is awesome. Just love his clarity, simplicity, and incredible ability to deliver what he knows. Thank you!
Thank you so much

I have a social studies tesst!
I'm starting college in January and I've been binge watching college videos on a plethora of topics including notetaking, studying, and memorization. Thank you so much sir for this video. I will definitely be utilizing these techniques.❤
I must memorized more than 2k pages so i need a hotle to have enough rooms
Won't apply for a massive subject material!!
i now need Buckingham Palace
😂😂😂
I would love a hotl... what is a hotl tho
My method:
Put stickers with one word you want to remember in special places: mirror - door-table- kitchen - etc.
When you remember the word you replace the sticker with a new word.... with this method you can learn at least more words at the same time
Omg, you know what? I've used this technique when I was at school without even realizing that it has a name. It was my and my friend's thing only and it worked so naturally. It was really helpful and we had so much fun studying this way. I thought we created it. What a bummer. But now that I'm a university student and need this method the most I just lost my ability to create those pictures in my mind.
Oh my Lord!!obsessed with your channel! This season I'm learning to speed up reading, your videos is gold.

What i recently found useful was , three steps :
1. Understand the concept with full concentration
2. Write it out in your own words , like teaching someone or yourself
3. Record an audio of explaining yourself whatever you had written
And now after few days if you take and read the notes along with audio , it just takes less time to recall everything and obviously it stays in your mind for long
Note: for all this you need to actually study and have interest in studying
Wow,this is exactly what works for me too
I'll try this!!
I just cried cuz I feel so stupid whenever I need to summarize.. I need this ability for my satttttrrrr ...
As a teacher, I have begun teaching the loci method to my students. Wish my teachers would have known about this when I was growing up, but better late than never. It's almost unfair how much easier and less tedious it is to remember new information compared to rote memorizing. Thanks for sharing this wonderful knowledge. You are doing a great thing!
i dont have enough rooms in my house 😥
Ri chelle hahahaha funny
Ri chelle litterly he doesn't mean rooms in ur house but in ur mind !
haha!

Hey, thanks for this! Very educational and informative! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
Summary:
1. Instead of memorizing, highlight
2. Use method of loci/mind map
3. Use visual memory for whatever you have highlighted
4. Hang the memory with furniture of your house and create a story picture with it
5. Each room represent a chapter or 10 points a room
6. Create picutre for a date e.g. march to remmeber march/stride for history
Good one
This was great. Have been reading Jonathan Levi's "The Only Skill That Matters" and this has really cemented some of the concepts I learned. Thanks!
Is the book you have mentioned worth buying? Can you please explain a bit about it's pros and cons?

One of the most useful channel on youtube.
This was actually awesome Ron ! Thanks
I have used this method for years and it works. This video is a crazy fast introduction to the concept, however.
Hi Ronnie, fantastic video! I only discovered you recently, but I'm very impressed! I just wanted to know if there would be an easy way to adapt this for the study of philosophy. Suppose I want to remember a complex argument, then memorize five arguments for and against it. What would you recommend? Thank you kindly for uploading this stuff!
Its First video I watch from you and it was really good, both content and easy to watch, nice intro, nice logo and good technique at breaking down but also summarizing the steps to remember better! 👍🏼 nice work, and the steps of course work! These are real techniques for memorizing, idk what those people leaving negative comments were expecting!! Thanks again for the video!
Daaamn 6 years agoooo, heeyyyy I'm brenda from the future.
Thank you very much for your interesting and useful tips. I think they are really truthful and working.
Love the memory palace Ron. Such a good technique
Thank you for the tips and tricks! Really needed them! Have a great day! God Bless!
Thank you so much
There's a difference between memorizing general knowledge, and memorizing information and then applying it all the time, in huge quantities. The memory contests involve memorizing useless information including number sequences etc, for those who are in science/medicine/law, I don't know how valuable making memory palaces would be when you need to apply specific knowledge very quickly in specific situations, not sit around thinking for 10 minutes where a specific fact is in a mind palace. But for lots of random useless information and numbers, maybe it works fine.
Mind palace is just a technique to store the data, and what's good about it that when you forget about something you go back to your mind palace in order to find it, you forgot it anyways and Id rather think for 10 minutes than assume I forgot. But otherwise the data is just in your head and you can use whenever (from my own personal exprerience it took me less than 2 minutes to remember things I forgot)
Doctors make use of memory tricks to remember procedures. Stuff like mnemonics.
Incredibly powerful tips to memorize stuff with ease!!!!
Great seminar today at MCLB Barstow Ron! Thank you!
Hey Ron great video! How many times can you reuse the same room to collect data? Or is it a one time use memory palace?
I tried this and I memorized a whole phantom of the opera monologue in one day!
thank u soooooo much for subtitles with proper commas, dots and grammar 🙏🙏❤!!
very helpful in making notes 🙏
Thank you I from iraq I love your vedio I read the book of mega memory and you explaine for me alot of things I dont understand it when I read it
man u made it more complicated
I've been researching best methods for focusing and found a fantastic resource at wilfs blueprint system (google it if you are interested)
Taj Muhammad 😂😂😂
Dare S. thank you I will.
I get the picture idea, but where do the rooms come into play?
William Tajspeare agree. i forgot what he's telling me
I'm here to confirm that your first points are right. The only best way to study complicated material is to highlight the important stuff while reading, take notes right away of everything, and then extensively rewrite every important point in a way that you explain yourself what is is and means. If you can do that only once for every point, you will have a very strong ability to remember those points.
This has really helped me 😭😭😭❤️❤️thank you so much ❤️
Best techniques for memorisation. Thank you.
I normally study 10 mins before tests ...so this won't work.......TIME😂😂
Seriously!

I was thinking my way of memorizing sucks and I need a new way as I was so demotivated..after this video I was motivated that my method Is not that difficult tq for this video
Ronnie, using memory palaces have helped me to score higher on exams for medical school, especially when trying to memorize pharmacology requiring us to memorize the crazy names of drugs. Since all we do is study and memorize in medical school, in about 2 weeks, I feel like I've used up every symbol and place I know well enough to be used as a memory palace. Any tips? How would you approach being in medical school if you were to do it knowing what you know about memorization techniques? There's so much to memorize and sometimes just staying focused can be tough as well. Thanks in advance. Will be going through your videos on 2x speed for the next hour.
m1kek1m this is what I’m going to college for too? What state do you live in?
I think this way is even harder..
ronnie white oh thanks anyway
ronnie white im sure you helped a lot of people ❤️ keep going you're awesome
It only looks like it's harder because of the amount of work you have to put into it. One of the best ways humans remember things is through associations, so it's logical to assume that if you ingrain such a technique that is conceptually revolved around association you'll be able to remember things much better. The catch is that it'll be more of a short term thing unless you take time to rehearse the rooms for whatever things you're trying to memorize.
Why have I only discovered your channel now?! I could've done this before! Awesome techniques.
Welcome aboard!
Thank you so much for this 🙌🏻
even I need to visual pics for remembering those 5 steps :D
Thank u... I don t get why u don t have more views... Your channel is very useful and well explained. Keep going.
> 3/4 million. Should be happy now!
The picture technique helped a lot! I just don't use it often.
Awesome videos Ronnie. I subscribed and am looking forward to new videos.
To memorize things. You need to tap into a part of the brain that we actually use daily.
You remember what you focus on with sincere interest.
You remember what happened in a movie you watched once in the 90's
Imperium Records your comment made more sense than his entire presentation.
can you tell more about this?
I even forget movies, I have no hope.
Great video, Ron! But I have questions though. What do I need to do if I read a 300 pages long book? and since I have little objects and I wouldn't have time to make like 500 objects or more, if I re-use them, sometimes I would forget the original images. In addition, if I just can't remember my stories or locations then I would just lost almose all the info I want to have memorised. Please advice. Thanks for your great videos and keep up your good work :D
I have the same question. Another consideration is, how many mind palaces will you need? You might need 400 rooms. Do you invent the palaces or find real life ones??
There is no limit to what you can store in your mental pigeonholes..
That has been my everyday strategy....thanks
Hi dear professor
Thank you so much for your help and advice.
I really appreciate your job. I wish you peace and happiness under the sky of prosperity.

What if Im Studying Finance? its full up with words that aren't easy to visualise
Try visualizing a similar word that reminds you of the real word.
The whole point of the memory palace is to put a cue which when you see, you remember what was it's purpose. Just add something similar, some connection.
I don't know finance so I can't know how to help you exactly. This is the basis. You change it depending on your needs. It takes time. Don't do this 10 hours before an exam.

I remember what I read, but if someone calls me,
I forget where i was on the book, and I have to go through the whole page again...
i thought that if you make a story of a topic while reading we will never forget and memorise fast try it i am not joking i also remember by this process
This was a great video. Now I have to go back and rewatch it because I can't remember the information.
thank you, ill definitly try it
This is what I actually do when I want to remember things... Use a things or to connect things and talking to myself like I'm teaching someone XD
perfect
Thanks a lot.... liked your ideas...idk it’s happening to me! I’m forgetting everything I just read whereas I was a smart brain before...I’m really really worried! I wish I recover soon😪
I wanna hug this the person..
He told us the most effective way of memorizing with almost 5 minutes
It is better if we remember things in image as our brain tends to keep memory that has more details. Eg: colours/emotion/sound/smell. It's the best if we can combine these with the image that we want to memorize.
Brain can't differentiate between important or unimportant memories. So if you want to make sure that our brain remember things that we feel important, make sure that they have enough details.
-more details>>brain will remember
-no/few details>>brain will eliminate that memories
Don't watch porn as watching porn will make you forgot important things.
-image+emotions >> many details
P/s: Actually if you have a good image memory, you can speedread any articles with high comprehension. And you recall them with ease.
you nailed it brother.
Thank you brother )

It take a bit of work but it is worth it
@@Brainathlete thank you. How i wish to also use this method effectively. I'm actually currently learning korean language. I just wanna figure out how to quickly remember all about grammar concepts and vocabularies in my long-term memory
I’m glad that I’m not the only one. I hear people talking about reading and enjoying books, and I’m thinking I can’t remember the dang book cover
It sure does work. What i did to remember for exams is to highlight words and then create funny images relating them. Since i had to remember things in order, i would link the funny words together, one giving hint of the other. Believe me, in exams the answers would pour out of my brain without missing a thing.
What if you study different topics every single day? would the new information override the one from the previous day?

I hate it when we have to do complicated stuff just to memorize a sentence..
If only our minds are stronger
If I want to remember something that I've just read, I just read it as many times. For example,if I want to catch much information as possible from a book that I'm interesting in, I just read it many times. Because reading is one of the most important way to learn
