What do you think of Pokémon Legends Arceus?
Wayyyyyyy better than SV which is a damn shame.
@@YourProFRESHer you’d of thought that SV would of been an evolution of what came before. It seems like they released PLA to test fam reaction. Hopefully Gen 10 will be the next step
Boring 🥱
All it is is catching Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon, and spam the A button
At east, in my opinion
@@CreativitySkys you’re right, it is weak in comparison to other open world titles. But for Pokémon specifically, if they can build off of this. I’m ready for the next game
I think that PLA is the most immersive Pokémon game of the 3D era
100%, simply because you’re engaging in the world and the mechanics
Agreed. The amount of times I was literally chased by these pokemon while trying to do something. The game feels alive and natural
I think it’s the most immersive Pokémon game period!
That’s not saying much
Best of the 3D generation? Yes. Even scratching the surface of what could and should be done with the series? Barely. I pick up Zelda and my brain can’t even comprehend how these games are on the same system
I played Shield for over 300 hours, including competitive play. Pokemon Moon, the first game I ever bought, was such an extraoridinry introduction to me to the Pokemon games. However, Legends: Arceus was easily the most rewarding, and compelling Pokemon game I had ever played. The grind to complete the Pokedex was annoying at times, the Noble fights took a few tries to beat, but throughout it all, this game gave me some of the best memories of what has become my favorite franchise. The graphics, while not perfect (looking at you, map boundaries), were the best I'd seen yet. The story literally takes a page out of isekai, minus Truck-kun, and has you saving your own future from being deleted! Characters like Prof. Laventon, Kamado, Akari, Ingo, and who could forget Volo, were interesting. Which is why it is a huge shame how SV had so much potential, but it was plagued with so many issues. If GF decides to release a future Legends game, it would be a step in the right direction for future Pokemon games.
Pokémon legends was the change I needed, even though I complain about other gens and remakes, I love Pokémon too much to ignore them 😂 scarlet and violet has a good story IMO, but as you say it was plagued with so many issues. Gen 10 needs to take the learnings from both PLA and SV and use the full potential of whatever the next Nintendo hardware is
@@JamaTheGamer technically I see them as prototypes for future games PLA and SV. They both tested 3D world building in a Pokémon setting.
@@shadowthewind2902 yeah I agree, they both tried something different but PLA definitely felt like they were trying to gauge how the audience’s reception would be
Arceus brought me back to playing pokemon after like 2 decades
That’s crazy! Just shows the impact this game has had
Man, Darth Vader killing you wasn't gonna stop you from catching 'em all.
I had only played a couple of Pokémon DS games. But last summer I decided to get a switch to play Let’s Go. I found it fun at first, but I got bored and started looking at other titles. That’s when I heard about Legends Arceus for the first time. Best decision ever!
Getting Arceus was so satisfying It was a ton of hard work, but worth the effort. Volo gave me the hardest battle I had in a while in pokemon. Took me several tries.
Yeah Volo was no joke 😂 I had to keep changing my team to see who could help. I don’t usually use Legendaries but I ended up using Cresselia
Same here.
Volo battle was unfairly too hard took me 56 attempts to finally beat him and I have played Pokemon since Red, Blue & Yellow I want easy games not hard ones.
I am a gen oner , was around for all gens of pokemon , and PLA was the most fun I have had in decades ! PLA brought back that old magic pokemon had , I played it without a walkthrough or going online , the feeling of discovering something new , seeing whats out there , finding secrets , doing a good story , finishing the dex , that moment of excitement when you encounter something you didnt expect.....that was the magic of Gen 1 and 2 for me , PLA perfectly brought that back. The theme was refreshing and that god damn music is amazing ! I truly hope gamefreak gives us more of this style
The moment to moment gameplay for PLA is unmatched. I hope Gamefreak build on the foundations of PLA while adding so more traditional mechanics to the formula
I hope they go all-in on the Arceus model going forward. I get that Scarlet/Violet were in development at the same time as Legends, but it's honestly just frustrating to see Scarlet run into so many issues that could have been fixed by implementing the catching and battling mechanics of Arceus.
I just want them to put all their resources on the next and make an open world game with Legends Arceus mechanics.
If I had a couple suggestions it would be:
1. Make Alphas/Boss monsters unable to capture via ball spamming. Makes them feel more intimidating, and gives a reason to use your Team for more classic battle scenarios with higher stakes.
2. Sky Battles should be a thing. I should be able to engage a Gyarados or Togekiss while riding on Braviary with a flying Pokemon that I have.
Legends was such a high for the Pokemon series, and then Scarlet and Violet come along and are a new low in many ways. Definitely felt the whiplash.
Scarlett and violet was a step back for the games. Arceus just hit different absolutely loved it. Completed violet then sold it lol. Why they ever went back to the old way of catching pokemon ill never know.
I think it’s because both games were in development at the same time and they was gauging fan reception with PLA. Hopefully it returns for gen 10
tbh I hated the catching style in Arceus,
@@isaiahmcclure8894 im surprised you bought the game, it was like one of the main changes advertised 🤣
@@joelh90 The story and everything else is phenomenal, isn't it? Why would 1 aspect deter me from buying it?
@@ChadVigilantea different studio made the remakes, blame them for that garbage.
I will always look back at my playthrough of PLA fondly… just interacting with my Pokémon and listening to Jubilife Village’s music gave me the best memories
I just bought Legends Arceus and I LOVE it! I bought Pokemon Scarlet and Violet last year and the way you play Legends Arceus seems more fun
The dream pokemon game, I like the action orientes gameplay while still keeping the turn based battle.
And the map design is just the most immersive for 3D pokemon games so far, sure the landscape might look generic but it feels like you're thrown in the wilderness for real, unlike Scarlet Violet world map.
Yeah let’s hope that Gen 10 takes the best of both SV and PLA to make an incredible game!
@hakimalam I would say use traditional battle systems, but bring about everything PLA brought. The catching of Pokémon. The easy Pokémon spawn and move about. Bring in pvp and trading with normal battling. Keep Frostbite for god sakes. And the formula feels extremely fresh!
I will never forget the first day I saw a pichu, the lil guy threw an electric attack way and sprinter away.. it felt so awesome to actually see that!
@@jonathanwilson1539 sounds about right!!
Playing PLA for the first time was an experience like no other. I've never felt so immersed in a Pokémon World before. They did so much right such as aiming to catch/not needing to battle, unique pokemon interactions/behavior in the world, the freedom to move and be hit as the trainer in combat, qol improvements, shiny hunting noise.
Man GF would really make no sense if they never follow up this game or implement this as the new direction in another main pokemon game.
They have to use what they learned in PLA in Gen 10 but honestly, i don’t think they will. I think they are too concerned that it might come with a learning curve that will alienate some of the fan base. They need to let the games cook for a little bit longer
The pokemon game I wanted 20 years ago. I downloaded it yesterday morning. My son and I have been loving it. I hope they make more like this.
Pokemon Legends Arceus uses a similar idea to Digimon World 1, that some npcs request you to find a pokemon and when you bring it in, that pokemon is part of the town now. It made me feel like a kid again seeing the Agumon I just recruited be a resident in my town
I’m really glad that the dissonance between the Pokémon world and the battles is finally being addressed with PLA and SV. Mainly because having Pokémon battles take place in the world rather than being teleported to some random battlefield kinda helps with immersion, as usually if you were to show people your pets inside your house, you don’t get warped to a white void with a tiled floor. Plus, having pokemon actually be seen doing more things than just battling and standing around is fantastic, think of the taxi services in paldea and galar or DJ G-rave hyping up ryme during her gym battle. It’s little things like that, that go the extra mile for immersion.
That’s what we want right, more immersion. We want these Pokémon worlds to feel lived in and alive. They are definitely on the right track. I just hope the next game gets the time and resources it needs to fully flesh out the world and their ideas
love this video man, I agree with everything what you said about the game, its soo fun and they need to make another one to continue the love of it
Yeah they need to build on the solid foundation that was built with this game! I feel as for us fans this is what we have been waiting for
@@JamaTheGamer You couldn’t have put it a better way man
I've been a pokemon fan since I was five. At the time I had just started watching the anime and I was OBSESSED with it. Later I started playing each and every one of the games until I got to pokemon Sword, my mind was blown once I finished it because of the story and the smoothness of the game. I had always dreamed of a pokemon game where you could catch pokemon without battling them. So when the trailer for pokemon Legends Arceus came out, I was sooo excited and even after a year of it being out, I still play it almost every day in my free time.
I’m glad that this game resonated so well for you! Let’s hope Gen 10 can build on the last 2 games and make a better realised Pokémon game
You've inspired me to play the game again, I never got to rank 10 so I'll work on that while shiny hunting
actually its not the first ever dex its the first hisui dex because laventon says and im reading this off the game itself " you see, i have a dream- to compile this region's first complete record of its pokemon! we in the field call such a catalog a pokedex.
True I played all of Legends Arceus catching all the Pokémon all of the Pokédex and getting the shiny charm. I would say I enjoy legends more than Scarlet and Violet it is an good game but Legends has so much more variety in the gameplay. I really enjoy letting my team out and relaxing at the lake area listening to the theme plus they interacting with each other is so cute.
I didn’t like SV at first but it grew on me. I think it’s a competent pokemon game with a great story and a weird setting so I prefer PLA overall
I love Pokemon Legends Arceus! It's a good game! One of the best that I've played in a while!
Yeah 100% got to be one of the most fun Pokémon games to release in a while
I’m so glad legends arceus wasn’t set in ancient kanto like gen 1 gets so much love
I’d love to see how they would’ve applied this setting to Gen 2 or 3 if I could choose
What I like most about this game is that I'm actually doing research to Pokémon for the Pokédex. It's not just capturing one and suddenly I know everything about it.
In this game, it hits different. Feeding them, capturing a specific number, seeing them perform their signature moves repeatedly, etc. It's just amazing! but I do understand that some players are not a fan of this mechanic.
I love that part of the game. I hope they innovate on it if they do make a sequel to PLA
I absolutely love Legends Arceus and I love this video! It’s so much better than SV in so many ways!
Great stuff 👏👏👏
It’s so awesome that I even made a game review video for it! And I haven’t done that for any game since! 😂
I forgot about this game and now I'm playing for first time and I love it definitely my third favorite pokemon game
I played PLA the other day and fell in love with it again
Such a great video, I agree with you completely! Pokémon Arceus is one of my favorites and so fun to play!
Thank you, appreciate the kind words! It’s definitely my favourite Switch pokemon game so far
@@JamaTheGamer
Aww yes of course you’re so welcome! Keep up the amazing work.
I agree with you, it’s the best Switch Pokémon game so far.
I was late on it but I started the game in the beginning of the year. I must say, while the story ok and the gimmicks at tedious sometimes, arceus was the perfect step that pokemon took. I haven’t played scarlet/violet but of what I’ve seen, it’s like sword and shield 2.0 but not polished at all. Arceus was a little more (not perfect) but definitely polished. It’s a great way to introduce the way of live in Pokémon. I hope that gamefreak looks back at arceus again because it’s the exact way to make Pokémon games
PLA was the first game to bring me back since HGSS, and I'm so glad that I gave it a chance. I can't wait to see how future iterations build off of this model.
I'm gonna use this video to convince my friend to finally get this awesome game
Sick vid I totally agree legends arceus was hard to put down!!
Incredibly fun game! Definitely top 3 Pokémon game of all time
I would generally love it if they gave us other games like this for the other old regions like making this a game series for Pokemon like mystery dungeon and Pokemon ranger
Probably my favourite pokemon game, I've been wanting one in this style for ages but was never gonna happen on the old handhelds. Need a sequal asap.
Definitely, my concern though is GF only care about the mainline games and PLA was kind of a test to see how the audience would react to it
This game is amazing. My ONLY complaint is that there's no way to speed up the spawn timer of Space Time Distortions, some Pokemon only appear in them, and specifically the Pokemon that appear are based on random chance... I've had to resort to literally going AFK while waiting for distortions to spawn so I can complete the Pokedex.
Yeah that is annoying. It seems like majority of fans have taken to PLA well so hopefully Gen 10 will take the best aspects from PLA and SV!
Agreed!! Beautiful take on the Arceus. It's been years since i played pokemon games and Arceus just made me it so worth it!
PLA reignited my love for Pokemon so much so that even Scarlet/Violet with its plenty of issues I found palatable but I always keep coming back to PLA it ain't perfect but it works
That’s the PLA effect alright, it done the same for me
The last pokemon I played was the Yellow in GameBoy… After so many years, Arceus make me to love them again ❤️
Pokemon Legends is by far the most "faithful" game to the franchise the Switch ever had.
Even with a short dex every Pokémon feels alive.
It's pretty sad people just overlooked it when G9 came out.
I swear to GOD, Everytime I hear the Shiny Sparkle in your video, I jolt in my seat
And you want to know the funniest part? *I'm playing Splatoon*
If I were playing Arceus, this video would drive me made
This was the best Pokémon game I played on the switch.
Graphics look nice
Pokémon actually feel dangerous since they come after you
The Pokémon feel alive as they wander around, eating and sleeping
The town feels alive as pokemon side quests actually vary you build the village up instead of the dead lifeless cities in violet and scarlet
Characters designs look cool and the characters are actually interesting as they have their own stories not to mention being ancestors of characters you know.
The battles are actually difficult and offer a challenge too instead of being easy as shit
Yes, the games have been increasingly easy in the past 4-5 generations so it was nice to get a real challenge again. I’m replaying Pokémon crystal and I’ve just come up against Whitney and her miltank… that miltank wiped out my whole team with rollout 😂 I just about beat it the second time thanks to me poisoning it and holding out. And the thing is it’s this kind of thing that’s memorable. When you can breeze through a game you just don’t remember it
i absolutly love this game im still working on getting a shiny living dex
I would love to try this, but there’s too many games to play this year 😂😭
That’s awesome though! How many you caught so far?
@@JamaTheGamer i have 112/259 shinies

Ayee I have a cameo appearance in the video
Good to see a returning viewer! Did you watch the video this time? 👀😂
@@JamaTheGamer lmao I did, great video dude arceus is the shit
PLA is my tied for second with SV for me. I love both games (Both are glitchy, but SV’s story made me so happy so it’s tied) but nothing can beat your first Pokémon game. If I had to change anything about SV it would be less glitchy. If I had to change PLA, I would add the underground because of BDSP or I would add breeding back to make it easier to get the starters (I know massive mass outbreaks make it easier to get starters but I can never get 1st stage outbreaks it’s always 2nd stage)
I like the idea of the underground being added, but if i was to change something it would have more trainers to battle. People that were not afraid of the Pokémon and went out by themselves
Happy Birthday cuz
Thank you 💕
It's my 2nd favourite pokemon game after mystery dungeon time darkness and sky I enjoyed it a lot and recently tried Arceus again and caught him this time
My guy saying what so many of us were thinking. It’s a shame it got tossed aside so quickly and we never got DLC for it.
It doesnt need dlc Its a complete game
@@JimmyWangYang999 it doesn’t NEED it but I WANT it as I want an excuse to keep playing after 100%ing it.
😂😂 they could still have done so much more with this game, DLC could’ve added trainers in the areas to battle, challenges, new story possibilities are endless
All hail to the king of Pokemon.
Not quite, maybe like 2nd or 3rd Prince 😂
You know, despite the things everyone says about this game, I think it's one of my least favorite pokemon games on the switch. I heavily agree that the catching mechanic is great and I loved the new pokemon and the new direction this game took, the only problem however was that it didn't take place in a modern time period in the pokemon world. There were no pokemon centers, no stores, very few trainer battles, no gyms, no pokemon league, too many fetch quests that I'd have to do to get special items, a bag that runs out of space(and can only be fixed by paying some random guy to expand your bag which in my opinion is complete BS), and the one thing you're going to be doing most of the time is catching and battling wild pokemon to complete the pokedex, which is something I don't do that much in a pokemon game at all. I know it takes place in the past, but that didn't make it any better for me. I've never completed a pokedex before either and I don't plan to anytime soon. Everything I listed pretty much killed the replayability for the game for me. If you like Pokemon legends Arceus, thats fine, its completely fine that anyone likes the game. I just think that a pokemon game like this just isn't for me. The best pokemon game I've played on the switch so far was Pokemon Violet, a game that basically gave me what I wanted out of a pokemon open world game, even though it removed a few features that were in legends arceus like the catching mechanic(and yes I know violet has glitches and everything but that didn't really bother me that much mainly because I didn't experience that many glitches as everyone else did, like I only experienced 2 glitches and nothing else, and I bought the game on its release day).
Also, I've been a pokemon fan since 2005, so I'm not new to the franchise.
Everything you have said I understand and agree with. I love PLA but it’s not a game that has any replay ability. Because of it being set in the past, it does impact other aspects of the game like battling, gyms etc. simply what carried this game for me is the catching mechanics but if I looked beyond it I do agree with what you are saying. Gen 10 has to use the catching mechanics from PLA with a modern setting with your normal traditional gyms etc.
Here's to hoping Gen 10 follows the same steps as PLA
Yeah let’s hope it iterates on the formula and expands. It cannot be a historical setting though
SV was a huge INVOLUTION regards to PLA.
Not just battles came to be static events again, but the world has quite of an artistic identity crisis.
Idk, I have a soft spot in my heart for Violet, just because it brought me back to the Pokemon series after I left the scene in 2004 after beating Leaf Green. Since Violet, I have went back and played through beat former games such as Omega Ruby, Ultramoon, Shield and also Arceus. I think Arceus was well done and its a solid game
i just wish the narrative wasn't only catch them all, like i'm kinda ocd so they have 10 lvls of pokédex completion per pokémon and i'm like determined to get lvl 10 for every pokemon
i really love Pokémon Legends Arceus and I would love for Pokémon to keep this title around and do the same thing with other regions. I have always loved Sinnoh, and Legends Arceus just made me love it even more. i hope the pokémon company does not think that Legends was a once in a lifetime type of game :(
You have a lovely speaking voice
I hope they add online to this game or if a sequel gets online
You forget to mention something super important how is the fps? FPS is 100% important if the game runs at 15 fps than it is going to shit all over my gameplay. I would at least want it to dip at 24 to be the least from 30 fps and the rest of the gameplay to be flat 30 fps. I say this because I know game freaks and Nintendo is not all about the fps.
Leyends Arcus have to be on my top 3 pokemon games!! I has perfect? NO but i was something new that i really enjoy, we have been playing the same games gyms, bagdes and ligue for many years
I think if they convine 2 games like let go and Leyend arcus into one could be have the perfect game. I have to say that i loved the catching mecanics and i was really dissapointing not to have it for the new games ( like scarlett)
Yeah I agree, I was sad that it wasn’t in scarlet and violet. I think scarlet and violet and PLA combined would almost be the perfect game
One of the best pokemon games. Not even specifically 3D, just in general.
Omg your accent is west midlands accent I'm from Oldbury!
You’re right, and I got family that live in Oldbury!
@@JamaTheGamerOh that's neat lol
This was the real Pokémon botw
still think this is the best pokemon game we've had in years and definitely the best one on the switch
It was different enough to renew the franchise
I agree with everything except for your praise of the visuals. Very rarely it can look great in some areas, but generally the visuals are extremely lackluster and unfinished. Calling it watercolor visuals is pretty strange, beautiful watercolor artstyle shouldn't be confused with bad shading and low quality textures.
Yeah, for sure there’s problems with the visuals but generally I think the art style is nice. Personally, I think the best art style out all of the switch games is Let’s Go
the catching was great in the arceus but as is normal for a pokemon game, the characters and plot were lacking. the fight with Volo and the Lord pokemon animated cutscenes were the main highlights for me.
The games was great but the battke mechanic was wack,i can barely attack two times while my opponents always manage to attack me twice in a row lol
I do dislike the battle mechanics in PLA. I prefer the traditional battle style
Best pokemon game ever!
"what makes Pokémon Legends Arceus a Great Game"
Sinnoh/Hisui.
I really loved the story, however sparse it is, because it's so open ended. Whether it was intentional or not, it makes the world feel more unknown.
As far as the gameplay goes, I hated doing the arpg stuff with a controller. I'm controller dumb, and I think if I had done it with mouse/keyboard I'd have been fine. It's how I play monster hunter on pc.
Best pokemon game
Best Pokémon switch game maybe 😏😂
If fans would of just stayed strong, yall would of had Arceus Legends 2 and jumping through different generations like time travel. Like pokemon should of been in unreal engine by now
It's a absolute g.o.a.t

110% that would almost be the perfect Pokémon game
@@JamaTheGamer game freak hates fans so
Pokémon Legends Arceus IS Legendary
100% I wish Gamefreak continued to support for longer
Really up there as the best Generation 8 Pokémon game with maybe Let's Go. It is about as close as we can get to a new Pokémon Ranger. The characters are very anime-like. The areas are separated that you can tell where you are like a field, bog, beach, snow, and a mountain. The custom clothes are nice while somewhat as limited as in XY or (U)S(U)M.
Abilities working in and out of battles should have been added. It does get annoying that you have to get and beat the same Pokémon to fill the research level. There should have been more updates and giveaways without paid DLC.
It’s sad that this game didn’t get more content. It feels as it was created as an experiment to gauge fan reception while they made Gen 9
As pokemon as a whole nowadays...
Good concept, terrible exucasion.
Its funny how we all agree that this game looks disgusting...but after seeing SV it looks better in comparison. But thats the problem. Pokemon can only be good if you Compare it within the franchise. As soon as you compare it to anything else ... and take off those annoying nostalgic glasses...you see just how pathetic these games have become.
Games coming from a company that has billions over billions of money to work with ... having less quality than Indie Games is just pathetic and there is 0 excuse.
But I agree in one point. If you would force me to play arceus or Scarlett/Violet...I would choose arceus.
100% the problem is Pokémon is a victim of success. Because of how successful it is, it doesn’t get the time to truly innovate. 3 years and roughly 150-200 staff just isn’t enough time for an open world game being designed with the tech these days. Development is taking far longer for most quality open world games
I'd argue Scarlet and Violet look significantly better than Arceus. Both have equally low lows, but SV has actual textures on the pokemon, much better looking foliage, and better use of colors (no barf green grass).
I was one of those ones who thought PLA was great. And that SV was a step down.
Why did gamefreak skip dlc for this game? BUT SV gets 2 dlc...
Because Legends Arceus is polished as it is right now, doesn't need DLC and isn't worth it.
I'd like it as well if the mechanics weren't paper thin and the pokemon ai/catching mechanics weren't so absolutely broken and stupid. They did the bare minimum with this.
Wtf see you talking about ?
Itachi is my favourite character from Naruto, just wanted to throw that out there
@@itachi93674 i played the game man lol the pokemon are fucking dumb. The ai feels like it was made in 2 weeks
Pokemon Legends Arceus WAS a very pleasant surprise for me. IT IS NOT a perfect game by any mean, I don't like how floaty the character fall to the ground, I don't like that we need a pokemon to climb a very small mountain thing, and to be honest, some of the new music tracks are not that great, specially the professor Laventon one. That being said, here are the things I like: the new capture mechanics, the new battle styles, pokemons actually having real contact moves in battles, the player being able to hear a shiny pokemon surround, the craft mechanics, the trainer being in actual danger surround wild pokemons and on, are excellent new features that, I can not see a good reason none of these mechanics were used in Scarlet and Violet. Pokemon Legends Arceus is the very first Pokemon game that was competing in some category of the Game Awards, why I don't see anyone bringing this fact is beyond me. So yeah PLA has most of the inovations I wanted in a Pokemon game, and not seen any of that in Scarlet and Violet was beyond disappointing.
That is a crazy point that I forgot about. It did get nominations at the game awards! Great comment! I agree with a lot there, PLA isn’t perfect and tbh pokemon compared to the rest of the industry is still miles behind but that was a good few first steps
@@JamaTheGamer No worries, I am yet to see someone remember there was a nomination at the game awards. I guess it is because no one ever expected that to happen, I mean Game Freak do not produce AAA quality games, so the PLA nomination caught me off guard. But credits where credit is due, even if GF didn't got any award, just the fact they were competing with other great games, it is an impressive achivement regardless. Before I forget, Great video, btw!
Pokemon Arceus certainly has flaws, but it's easily the best of the latest Pokemon games. Sw/Sh, Scarlet/Violet, and BD/SP are trash so it isn't that hard of an accomplishment to outperform those, but still impressive in Game Freak's level of "quality".
The game is great , the only thing Im not a fan of is the super long dialogue, too much talking for me, 😆.
I didn’t notice you know 😂 I’m used to playing dialogue intensive games though tbf
😁 maybe it’s me , not sure , voice actors would be great tho.
i'm gonna have an unpopular opinion but i personally didn't enjoy the game. I appreciate they deviated from the standard formula but i think i enjoy that formula more. it just wasn't my game.
I appreciate that, PLA isn’t perfect. It doesn’t have the same replay value as traditional games
The game is far from great, unless you enjoy catching pokemon and only that it's worse in every regard. The game needed more time to add more core series mechanics for longevity and make it more fun completing the dex to catch arceus. I was bored to tears less than half way through the game and tempted to drop it but I wanted the new Genie and mythicals so I had to keep going. PLA is a clear 3/10 for me but could have been so much better, im not alone either ad this game is easily the most divisive and tried too hard to be different. If you are down for this style of game good for you, but if they make another one it needs more of the core series mechanics and activities built into it. Do that and have the new catching and you'd please far more people...
Yeah PLA is far from perfect and I think SV suffers from a similar issue as well now it’s open world. The issue is the developers just won’t be given the time to really flesh out an open world because pokemon is a cash cow. I think PLA is great because it’s tried to innovate and do something different but they will definitely need to build on it they continue with those mechanics
PLA is way too overhyped. It's a good pokemon game for sure, but only for the main playthrough. The story is meh with some missed opportunities, post game is very lacking, and the repetitive catching makes it way too boring, way too quick. It definitely added some QOL changes, but that doesn't make it the best pokemon game.
It’s definitely not the best Pokémon game and You’re right about replay ability and end game. I’m just glad they did something different and hope they build upon these foundations using a modern day setting and traditional battling
It's not the best Pokemon game, but it is IMO the best Pokemon game of the last 10+ years.

I feel like the only person who out right hates Legends Arceus.
The Pokedex was lazy and missing pokemon that were in Sinnoh, the pokedex was just fucking annoying and if it wasn't for Arceus, there wouldn't be a point, theres a ton of glitches that are never spoken about, shinies were WAY too easy, story was overall meh, battling system sucked, (I could go on...)
I hear you, I’m not saying PLA is perfect. If you take away the catching mechanics from this game, this video would be the absolute opposite because a lot of its strengths have also caused weaknesses like the lack of Pokémon battles and this strong and agile style battling system
Gotta love it when Nintendo fans give up and accept the trash that's shoveled to them year after year. God forbid not giving them money so they genuinely make better products.

@Mirajane I respect your decision, too bad that one person not buying a certain game won't crash their net worth, it's like a group of individuals tried to do that on a larger scale a few time but failed somewhat, but you know what they say, what happens, happens.
Legends Arceus was boring and it felt nothing like Pokemon at all I hated the change to the formula it was not necessary for me its the worst game in the series I enjoyed Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl so much more the only reason I bought Legends Arceus was to unlock the Azure Flute in BDSP to allow you to get Arceus at the Hall of Origin, I have played Pokemon since Red, Blue & Yellow and I want easy games not hard ones the difficulty of Volo was just so unfair I lost to him 55 times before finally defeating him on my 56th attempt.
Volo was a ridiculous fight, for sure there is some balancing issues and yeah I see action RPGs aren’t for everyone. Personally, I’ve always wanted a Pokémon game where I can catch Pokémon but I’d still love a cohesive traditional Pokémon game like BDSP. I think BDSP gets too much abuse
no pokemon game is a great game
Game sucks, no content
I'm 37 years old and I've played alot of games and I've played every main line pokemon game and the two gamecube rpgs with the shadow pokemon and I can say that this is my favourite game of all time. I loved it throughout the whole game and after I beat it i have been shiny hunting alphas. I have 54 alpha shinies so far and I plan on keep playing it for a really long time. I am a big shiny hunter and this is without a doubt the most fun I've ever had. Its criminal that they didn't have more dlc after the update introducing massive mass outbreaks. Another 2 or three areas with maybe 100 more returning pokemon would have been super cool. Long live this game man I love it so so much. 🤍🖤
Nothing it sucks
What don’t you like about PLA?
