    You make it look so simple. I hit the drum with the 2 and it comes up with very little sound. It looks like you're barely hitting it and it's sounding amazing. Really enjoy your playing.

      Most of all students that start with my lessons they struggle with the index left hand stroke. It's very important to achieve the properly technique. If you are considering to take lessons here's my site, thank you for your feedback 🎵🤗

    Fun fact: not a darbuka, but a doumbek! they both originate from the same country though, but the darbuka screws are different and they are more modern

    Omar, do you always play the LL as (Index/Ring) or (Ring/Index)? Sometimes it's hard to see. Is it better to always start a split finger double Ka with the index? Or does it not really matter?

    • @OmarKattanPercussion
      @OmarKattanPercussion  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! This is good question! I learned always index first, but it's interesting when you try with ring finger first, I've an Student he plays Indian tabla and they use the index, middle and little finger as the first of the double stroke.
      But! When you play a sixtuplet simple strokes with handsplit technique both hands you return the roll starting with R4 then L4, so it is like this R2 L2 R4 L4 R2 R2 / R4 L4 R2 L2 R4 L4
