    This is up near the Alcomos wreck ,,turn left after the Ocean View Tavern follow the rd. down to the end till you reach the limestone track ,follow the track to the beach ,park up in the car parking spots and walk the rest of the way ,,the best fishing in this part of WA

    Nice work mate , I've grown up fishing the beaches of Moreton and Fraser island and
    up here we never I mean never point our headlights towards the water at night ,especially on a calm night . That's just what we do but it might be worth thinking about

    I wonder if they are keen on yellowtail/yakkas just like here in our area in NSW WE can fish them in the shallow waters. Nice catch master!

    I have just come across your channel. Great work. One question - what brand/where did you get the rodholders you have attached at the front of your bullbar? Loved this vid - nice Mulloway.

      @farshadslandbasefishing  Před rokem +2

      Hi these are outrigger holders used on trolling boats. I got them many years ago from a tackle store and it doesn’t have any brand buy if you can get yourself one they’re very useful

    Wow, you’ve been getting some big ones lately. I was just wondering what sort of rig you were using?

  • @jzfishing103
    @jzfishing103 Před rokem +1

    Hey bro do you reckon a 150m spool of braid would be enough for this kind of fishing or would I be spooled cuz with 50lb braid I can lock up and pump the fish

    • @farshadslandbasefishing
      @farshadslandbasefishing  Před rokem

      Yeah should be okay as long as you have brand new braid. I personally don’t like to use anything less than 90 lb as it’s not just for turning the fish around but salty water weakens your braid over time and when beach fishing you’re casting over and over again and using heavy sinkers over long distance so lots of wear on your braid and so you don’t want to lose a fish after spending so many countless hours chasing it just cause you have a thinner braid. Mulloways are strong fish so locking up fully is not a good idea and even with 100 lb line I use locked up, they still take a fair bit of line, but it can be done with your setup, depending on the size of the mulloway less than 15 kg

    Hi mate I’ve just started beach fishing do you have any spots or tips thanks.

    • @farshadslandbasefishing
      @farshadslandbasefishing  Před 5 měsíci

      Mulloway fishing starts to be more proactive from wilbinga upwatds. Try areas that are more remote and harder to get to and that’s usually where the fish are. If you can see offshore reefs within a km that’s usually a good spot. Fish in lower swells and also fish from the onset of 1st big storm in Perth all through the winter months. New moon is productive and I prefer at the change of high tide

    • @farshadslandbasefishing
      @farshadslandbasefishing  Před 2 lety +3

      North of two rocks, Wilbinga region are great areas to target mulloway and if you’re heading further north, look for reefs close offshore which can increase your chances of mulloway coming in, good luck

      Beaches change so even if you were told, it wouldn't do you any good. Do some research then get out there & put in the hours to find your own spots instead of trying to shortcut your way to success off somebody else's hard work. Rude to even ask & nobody with any brains shares thier spots because it's a sure fire way to ruin a spot.
