Manual gang forever! haha. People in the comments saying 8 speed would be better but I'm not too sure. The advantage of the auto is that torque converter multiplying your torque off of launch for a great 60ft time, from a roll the ratios are a little different but it's fairly even. I'm dead even when I roll race auto 392's, the advantage they have on me is the fact that it's quite easy for them to get a very hard launch. Regardless, just looks like a fun run with a buddy which is the best part about driving performance cars. Cheers!
No bro, that's actually not the case at all. The autos are actually a lot better from a roll than the manual simply for the facts their gear ratios are closer because they have 2 more gears. 6 speed 392 and an auto aren't really even a comparable race haha sucks but it's true, I wish sticks were as fast but they just aren't
Yeah of course it has more gears but did you see the speeds in the video? I definitely think the Auto would help but don't necessarily think it would pull away from the vette. Probably would be closer though.
@@taylervgolf I’m just going by what I’ve experienced. Granted I’m a cammed 5.7 but the gear ratios in the m6s are the same until you get to the hellcats. I know it’s not apples to apples comparison in my case because my car isn’t a 6.4, but my dyno chart is pretty much bang on what a 392 looks like and when I race 6.4 cars it’s always dead even. A video I did 3 years ago I have a bunch of race comparisons with an 18’ 392 (my setup has been tweaked since and makes a bit more power now) when we roll raced to finish out the day it was absolutely dead even. If the auto was way faster from a roll 6.4 vs 6.4 I would have to be making a lot more power than a 392 up top to overcome that for us to stay even and I know I’m not. We make about the same power. Where it was evident that he had an edge was from a dig.
It was just for fun man. A drag race would be different. You can see the scat stay with him from 20 to 90 then passed that the Vette pulls. I can imagine a 1320 would do well from a drag race perspective.
Full blown race car vs American Muscle Car. These cars are two completely different classes but they're surprisingly competitive with each other. The Corvette is more fit to be eaten alive by the Mopar super car....the Dodge Viper 🐍💨 Vette.
I have a video on my channel of back when I had my scat. And I pulled on a C7, I had tune, intake, exhaust with out headers. You can check the video. C7 had a peasenger too in that race.
My hellcat pulled on a C7 Z06 stock vs stock go watch it lol. These new hellcats have the edge on the Z06 and even C8 czcams.com/video/Det8vhNRzEsh/video.htmlttps://czcams.com/video/Det8vhNRzEs/video.html
Can’t no corvette or mustang or any street car beat the dodge demon S170. Read your facts before making that statement. Mopar S170 is the baddest of all

Exactly, just a few fun runs with a friend! Definitely was fun! Thanks for stopping by. 👍

Would of been better if they were both automatic
Yeah true, auto would of helped for sure but how much exactly is the question. It is what it is.
Not by much the same outcome would happen just a little slower
Would of?
I always click your videos so fast, loving the racing content.
For a better comparison, you need to run an A8 Scat. Good runs nonetheless.
8 speed the chally, remove the passenger.. go again.
There was a passenger in the Corvette too, but the auto would probably help.
Good video man 👍🏻
Appreciate it man!
They should do a drag race
Should have used that crazy charger
That would be a great race
Those base C7 Stingrays are right with the Scat Challenger 1320s. 11.6-11.8 in the 1/4 mile stock. A manual Scat has no chance.

In great DA maybe high 11’s. Most stock C7’s I’ve seen run low 12’s

Beautiful rides.
Use a 8 speed 392.. those manuals scat and hellcat wise just aren’t good without mods
8 speed🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Line up the vette with that grey scat pack charger
That’ll be interesting

No surprise here.
Long tube and headers and the stingray will still walk it.

Vet is lighter by a lot and has more torque.
Doesn't make more torque. 392 is 475 vette is 460.
That corvette just walked that challenger, get the automatic challenger widebody to challenge the the corvette
A mopar will never in live compete with any corvette lol

Demon 170 😂😂
No kidding. I like both cars but I'm not delusional...

8 speed scat plz
