People have been running easy low 11’s on stock tires in the C8 lol Also… compound > width in a straight line.

All that torque kept it from falling off immediately before the gear change the zf 8spd does good for a torque converter the c8 is just something else tho

Bro I have a widebody 392 6 speed with mid muffler delete raced one actually 2 but neither could get away got to 157 with last one and we were dead ass even 6 speed manuals at least in the 392 have that pull that automatics don’t I beat auto 392s and have beat 2 hellcats 50-141 mph couldn’t catch me with red key I let off after that I feel you tho they not fast as people think 🧐

The hell cat would eventually run the C8 down but you talking past the 1/4mile lol or right at the 1/4mile. The C8 is years beyond the old big car big power concept of the dodge. And yes I own a Dodge Durango hellcat and love it but, a hellcat will never be a midengine masterpiece. I wish they would bring back the viper as well.
C8 was supposed to be 68 k base lets call it 70k my 2020 ScatPack was 42.5k -28 k difference! No surprise at 1’300 pounds less and 28k more that Vette wins. But definitely closer then I thought. Bottom line both of these cars are beautiful American muscle cars and if you dump enough money into either one it can be faster. just stock both these cars beat most cars on the road and thats what they were made to do. Except Evs thats a whole other subject!
Listen I can’t afford 80 grand for a v8 corvette but for 30 I can get an under 3k mile scat pack which does an okay job of keeping up yes your vette is faster off the line but scat is 60 percent off
