Thanks for the kind words man! Can't go wrong with Ludwigs, I have never owned them but I hear great things on them and they have rich history! Also yeah in the 80s they made drums way bigger it seems! Even my other tama kit I bought used was from 2005, and the toms were bigger than the ones they make on average now. Your not crazy. I've had all the kits. I finally got down to one kit a gretsch USA custom 4 pc. I also just picked up the yamaha stagd custom surf green snare like yours its great.slso have the steel stage custom snare. Your yamahs drums are the best bang for the buck. Your tama superstars are a nice kit. Looks like your all set. Bang on brother

You got to cut out the little “sound hole” in the base head bud. Makes ALL the difference in the world.
