And I have one, the telecaster and i have to say, one of the best thing of it, not just the sound and versatility BUT, how incredible this guitar gets through the mix... how it push and gets heard. Our drummer always ppints that. Does not matter how loud the stage is, how loud we play, how loud the rehearsal is, how many instruments are playing, this guitar always get through the mix.. sooo nice!. I'm very happy with it

nice to hear someone using and appreciating it in an actual performance setting. They seem like a great way to reduce the amount of stuff you carry into and out of the gig. Which just leaves more time to sip a beer and watch the drummer tear his kit down lol.

Much prefer the tele version. This is a musicians guitar, perfect for someone who plugs in at gigs and especially if they use a looper.
Was watching a guy over the weekend, brilliant player, better singer but let down by an awful plugged in sound. Doing a 3 hour cover set in a big pub venue across decades and genres. His guitar could not keep up- all one sound and all bad. One of these would have been perfect. Wouldn’t sound as good as a D28, and a Maton AP5 Pro and a tele brought out by a roadie but most of us will never have that luxury.

It's slim and more portable and I can play it on the couch without disturbing people watching TV. And the variation of settings is insane. Like having 10 acoustic guitars in 1. Best money ever spent.

If you’ve got GAS, go for it, but there are acoustic guitar modeling pedals that do the job just as well. I have a Valeton 200 and it has plenty of acoustic emulators: dreadnaught, parlor, humming bird, classical, etc. sounds excellent, and at $184 it kicks ass. And when I switch out of acoustic MODE my PRS DGT is already in my hands and ripping it up.

The only and the only problem I have is the A and R amp I believe you called it versus the Fishman amp. I say this because the A and R made that Guitar plug into it sound more based compared to the Fishman. Now had they both been using the same amps, that's the experiment for comparisons of the two! You guys definitely rocked the house down with your lil O' jam session for sure and I loved that for sure. Right now I have the Fender Villager Acoustic/Electric 12 string Guitar with the very Fishman amp you used here. I just figured I'd try it. I bought it to try it. It's OK and could be better for sure but then again I am still finding out more and more about my newbie guitar. The original 12 string I did have and I did love it was... a Kawai, 12 string. That had the clean yet deep and rich tones I liked and it projected very very sweetly. Mind you that was only an Acoustic 12 string but man did it play! I'm a Tele kind of guy usually. The first guitar I ever owned was actually a Telstar so with that I just jumped into what ever came close to it's name and started looking. I am beginning to lean toward the Strat more often than not though lately, although I love the look of the Tele more! Wish I could get the Strat sound in the Tele look and I'd prob. be good to go! lol

That would add an extra sound quality especially if you were doing picked acoustic solos in quieter pieces (remove a bit of the twang).

Everyone hates on these guitars .. sure they are expensive , and a lot of people are saying "I would'nt pay 200$ for one of these bla bla bla" first off the labour alone involved in building one of these is far greater than 200$ (you cant even get a good squier for $200)
Can fender improve on these guitars price wise? Yes Im sure if they offered them at say American performer price range they would sell more. However that being said if they are selling out at $2399.00 CAD why would they? Fender has also released a Hard (American Pro Style) Case for them! Maybe if they switched that out with the gig bag and kept the price the same it would be a bit more enticing for buyers? I know I sure would have appreciated the hard case over the gig bag.

How is the string tension / feel Pete? Is it compared to what you’d expect from a strat/tele?

Good video guys, but I realize that the guys at Fender have tweak the electronic, but mostly the positions, not really the technology. Hence most of the sound difference between the 2 models should probably comes from the different amp that you have used no ? Like, even if you use the DI, the amp probably color the sound in one way or another, even if they are acoustic amp.

Would take either one, but I am a Strat Guy. Soooo Acoustasonic Stat for me. A North Carolina guy who likes your videos.'

Could be a difference in how they were eq'ed through whatever they're running through, but the Tele version sounds richer and more authentically acoustic-sounding. The Strat sounds a bit thinner and mid-rangey.

Absolutely amazing! Serious question - I’m new to guitar, are they playing using scales?

Seems like the tele has the edge on the acoustic sounds. But how does the tele acoustic sounds compete with the new jazzmaster?

Tbh, I was unconvinced until yesterday ( Sunday) when I had one ( a Tele) thrust into my hands at an open mic/jam in a 3 guitar line up ( 2 electrics plus me and the Tele). Did some Americana covers ( Take it Easy, The Weight and Long Train Running). Easy to play, sounded - what I could hear - not too bad. Someone played a recording of the numbers after ( on a little Zoom portable ). The guitar sounded amazing. In a live context, brilliant, at home or studio, nah.
