Most of these were made when MSM was just starting out, so it makes sense they’d reuse animations to cut corners

another thing you might have noticed, is that for the Epic Plant and Cold Wubboxes Idle Animations, they don’t blink.
Also Them, and Air are the only ones which don’t have a shrinking orb during the mute animation.
In case of monsters on natural islands and gold island, these were literally the first steps of MSM so it's really hard to question why the animations are nearly identical
Ive noticed some other similar monster animations:
- drumpler on air and gold island
- quibbles tracks on cold island
- cybop on earth and gold island
- yool on cold and gold island
- pompoms earth island track 1 and 2
- grumpyre idle and cold island
- shugabush plant track 1 and gold track 2
- fwog on plant and water island
- shrubb idle and plant track 1
- spunge on water and gold island (the pupil movement)
- rare quarrister earth track 1 and 2 (the red head uses the mouth animation from track 1 in track 2)
The reason why the last 3 have quicker idles is I’m pretty sure because of the different mouth sheet it uses compared to the earth and water island epic wubboxes, heck they could even be a seperate type of wubbox from the earth and water ones, it’s just there all classed under the title “epic”.

When The Gold Island Epic Wubbox was being made, the sprite accidentally disappeared because they forgot a frame when making it and they didn't notice.

This makes alot of sense that they reused alot of assets as these were from the game’s beginnings but I still cant get over how air island noggin is the exact same as plant island noggin
