@@doreenlybrand6728 It's actually the easiest diet I've ever tried. And it's taken me about a year and a half to lose the weight. One thing I like about the keto diet is that it dampens my appetite.
Do I really need to watch my portion size. Say it I eat bacon and eggs. Can I eat till I'm satisfied? Not pig out but satisfied

I’m new to the ketogenic lifestyle . It’s been only my first week and I lost 13 lbs. At first I was struggling not to snack between meals I’ll drink water like too much too, but as I really started to add avocados and evoo, ghee ect I can go without snacking and not drinking too much water to flush out my electrolytes. I am feeling much better than ever but still I want to lose 40 to 50 kg more to reach my ideal weight level. Just wanted to say that the optimal amount of fat varies greatly between individuals. If I take 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, it irritates my gallbladder and I experience a lot of burping and discomfort. For me personally, one teaspoon is optimal, and I still reap the benefits of keto. Just sharing this just in case someone else needs to hear it!

From what I learned in nursing school, the lower the pH the more acidic, so if vegetables are acidic they will lower the pH not raise it. It may be semantics but it needs clarification. A low number on the pH scale means acidic and the higher the number it is more alkaline. So it raises the acidity but lowers the pH number.

Great video Dr. Berg, I believe that I have been preparing for this life style a few years ago with out knowing, stopped eating rice one year ago and cut out so many foods that contain sugar, I actually began my Ketogenic Diet on yesterday 14/10/18. Eric Berg Hi Dr Berg you say eat the whipped cream or pecans after a meal so that's if you are just eating a veggie meal with no fats. I can see now that most people would consume too much fat. For example, if they have a piece of meat with veggie topped with butter or coconut oil or a salad with olive oil dressing.......then have some whipped cream for desert. Well the fat intake would be close to 100g.

Dr.Berg I have just discovered your amazing easy to understand videos on ketogenic diet. I am after my second chemo treatment, but did notice that trying to be on the diet (don't know if I am yet) did help me with energy and brain fog. I did agree on conventional medicine, but do believe I can help myself with ketogenic diet. My oncologist is not recommending any diet, but I have been a dance artist and I do know diets can heal. thank you Dr Berg for blessing us with all this excellent information. all this time I was looking for an appetite suppressant, and all I had to do was change my eating habits. with your help I'm now eating twice a day, I've never done that before. I'm hoping by the end of the month I'll be able to start the intermittent fasting. I know you can't put everything on the list in such a short video, but it's interesting that you didn't put walnuts on the list. it's supposed to be the highest nut, as a super food. thanx Dr Berg for everything.

Thanks so much Dr. Berg. I have been watching your videos and following your advices for 5 weeks. I have lost 12 kgs in 40 days. Feels amazing. Doing ‘ONE MEAL A DAY’ @6pm every day. I feel no hunger. I have completely cut off carbs n sugar from my diet. Only taking fat n lil protein. To get to 80kgs, I still need to loose another 33 kgs.

Wow! Dr Burg! This was an absolute answer to prayers today for me! I honestly felt ID have to give up keto because I simply cannot work my micros out on my carb manager app. Not alone anyway. I was guessing that I've been having too much fats because I'm not loosing. And in fact yesterday suffered a terrible flare up if crowns disease which I feel was probably more of a leaky gut thing now. I was shocked that 1/2 a medium avocado is 130 gm of fat! I was eating one a day plus bacon, eggs, heavy cream. Only 3 days on keto.
That must be some serious size avocados lol! I checked on cronometer 15g fat for a normal size avocado.

Yep, me too. I was just so happy doing Keto w/ BPC in am, then 2 keto-friendly meals. Lemon water OR ACV b4 every meal. Then he burst my bubble. Morning BPC breaks fast and considered a meal :( . Gawd I miss it! I will treat myself once a week w/ BPC after my first meal at 2pm. Still not losing weight, but feeling GREAT!!!

If you can't find 'fatty' ground beef, you can also add bacon grease (fat) to the pan when you're frying the meat. Every time I cook bacon, I save the strained drippings in a covered jar and keep it in the fridge. Then when I need to add fat to whatever I'm making, I use the bacon fat and it adds flavor as well. Sauteeing spinach and mushrooms? Use bacon grease. And so on...

Avocados and high quality eggs and salads are some basics.
On his website he has great recipes for vegetarians.
The start of 2019 I weighed 300lbs. I went hard core on protein and produce ONLY and became a gym rat 6 days a week. By July I weighed 210 lbs but plateaued. I thought "what more can I remove!" Then I found one of Dr Berg's videos about Keto and upon looking into it I realized I was already practically doing it short of 2 things: I wasn't eating FAT and my protein shake+banana was high in carbs. I threw out the shake and started eating FAT and doing the IF and HOLY COW my weight loss not only took off again, it can't get out of my body fast enough! I lose 1-2 pounds daily! Suddenly I broke free from the 200's after being there for over 20 years, saw 182 on the scale and actually slid into my SKINNY JEANS last night!!! I cannot begin to thank Dr Berg enough for all of his free informational videos on youtube that honestly have probably saved MANY of us in our weight loss/better health journey as well as women going through menopause! Because of his videos on MP, I now have a strategy on how to balance out my body! I can't WAIT TO GET my adrenal supplements and step my progress up a notch! We love you Dr Berg!!!
