"That's a weird looking thing. Kind of looks like a coffin...a mini coffin! Hey guys, come take a look at this!" 🤭🤣 Leigh, your initial excitement over finding a "mini-coffin" is one of many reasons we all love you. A mini coffin for what...a tiny mouse, a dragonfly? lol.
The odds of you finding the knife (on one cast), and then getting the matching NON-MAGNETIC scabbard on the next throw...🤯no words, almost magical. Big props to your mates for their priceless historical knowledge, too! So glad they were there with you on that day.
I really, really hope you’ve shown your knife scabbard to a museum. That is one valuable piece of history there.
Correct, Museums
Yes whe do show almost everything to the pan . pan is an organization in the Netherlands. where to report your antiquities. do take pictures etc of it . and will be in a database then
If a museum wants any of your funds, I sure hope they have to pay for it. Ever since I heard about that treasure hunter having that solid gold crown taken from him by the gov, I have zero trust in all that
Great treasures, the sheath is stunning. Congrates!👍✌💖
Yes absolutely! It’s been reported to the antiquities. I do this for all of the artifacts I find 😃🤙👍
The look on Richards face when he saw the sheath was literally jaw dropping. Great find Leigh. Always a pleasure to watch, you’re all smiling & always having a laugh & great time. Awesome stuff 🌿
That is the most amazing find I have ever seen on any magnet fishing show, well done bud
Thanks so much! 😃😃😃 it’s definitely one of my best finds ever, so stoked!! 😃😃😃
@@BondiTreasureHunter THAT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM (quoting the best movies ever).
I think that sheath is the most amazing thing you've ever found, love it, so beautiful
Thanks Debbie, I think so too 😃😃 it’s definitely one of my best finds ever! I’ll have to find out more about it and do an update 😃🤙🤙
That knife sheath is an amazing find we need a follow up episode
I’ll have to do an update on it 😃
Man take that to a museum, that has to be a pretty rare and important find. They can do some research and find out who could have been the owner. Anyway Gratz man!
Yes I will 😃 I’d love to find out more about it 😄🤙🤙
I love it when Hennie gets excited 😊😊😊😊😊
I can’t believe something 500 years old can still look so good! WOW!!❤
Wonderful finds. I’m so pleased for you. Your friends are so supportive too. Well done.❤️
Hi, Leigh and Nikki. Like many others in your comments section, I'm hoping your sheath find is of true historical significance. Actually, you all could have items of historic value i.e. knives and half a cannonball. An update on the sheath is definitely required. Thanks for sharing. Stay healthy and safe, you two 👍🏽 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Thanks mate 😃 we definitely got lucky with the artifacts today and I’ll have to do an update on the sheath! Such a cool find, I’m stoked! 🤩🤙🤙🤙
Amazing knife and sheath find. Wow! The history in treasure hunting is invigorating!!!
Thanks Kelly! You just never know what you’re gonna find, it could be an old rusty bike or a historical artifact 😃
Hey Leigh, the cannon ball half you found, was there any misshapen part in the centre of the flat side? Was watching and wondered if it might have been half of a chain shot (was used to take the masts and rigging of ships, although also had a use against personnel). basically it was 2 halves of a cannon ball joined by a length of chain, when fired it would split apart and spin in the air.
Awesome find on the sheath, hope it restores well.
Hello Leigh. It’s been three months since viewing your videos. Had Covid 19, and was hospitalized for three months. Glad to be back viewing your videos. Cheers mate!
Good to hear you’re feeling better mate! That must’ve been hard, wishing you a full recovery! 💪💪😃
I hope you let the museum know about the sheath. Its priceless in my eyes.
The knife and it's scabbard are amazing finds, congratulations! I look forward to seeing them again, when they've been preserved!
I’ll have to do an update about it 😃😃
@Bondi Treasure Hunter I've just found your channel and am going backwards through it. I've just encountered this one and haven't seen an update. Maybe I've missed it, but in case not, please make an update for us! I'm very curious to it 😁
Beautiful piece of local history! Imagine the craftsmanship that went into that exquisite scabbard!
Yes so cool! Stoked to have found it 😃😃
What a find Leigh, I would love to see a follow up with an experts opinion, the preservation process etc. So much fun!
I’ll have to do an updat video 😃😃
@@BondiTreasureHunter Good!!

Not only are your finds great but that area you’re at is beautiful. Thank you for taking me along. 🤙🏼❤️
Thanks Elaine, it’s a beautiful old area 😃
Mam, your friend was shaking, holding that knife sheath Leigh. It was a miracle that you snagged a wooden object. The cross and the gothic writing is intriguing. I would love to see it on one of your future videos, once you get it restored. Congratulations!
Thanks mate! I got so lucky 😃 I’ll have to do another video about it when I find out more 😃😃🤙
Mate that was an unbelievable find well done that man , made all the shopping trolleys bikes and junk worth it . 👌
Your enthusiasm and passion are infectious. Absolutely brighten my day with your humour. 😂
Please take to a museum! Amazing find and I hope to see the cleanup/conservation follow up video. Well done and congrats!
Thank you and I will! 😃😃
Good people = good things. I love watching treasure hunters but got sick of people clearly planting stuff and constantly bragging & couple years ago I came across Bondi and the dude is authentic, positive attitude & super easy to root for…. Just always comes across as a really good dude
Très bonne journée à vous tous
What a fabulous find! So happy for you. 🌻🐕🥰🇺🇸
Thanks so much 😃
Special spot in the channel - many knives, no bikes. 😁👍👍👍
We do get lucky every now and then 😂😂
OMG how lucky are you!! good fishing great finds can't wait to see the follow up thank you!
WOW, a knife and possibly the sheath that goes with it!! Wonderful discovery. I’ll be so interested to know what a professional restoration person has to say. Please let us know. Your life is so filled with wonderful friends and amazing adventures. Thank you for letting us tag along.
Thanks so much! 😃😃
My 6yr old said she enjoyed watching your 'pond rope magnet finding' video!
I was saying to myself, "A vid from Bondi - You made my day!" But boy, that sheath is awesome. I know you have contacts, like Si and Nicola. You might ask them how to approach the local museum for advice on how to keep it until you can bring it to them (there's always a wait time for appointments). The museum will restore it for you, if you donate it, and based on its worth, you could claim it on your taxes!
Or he could just contact the museum for an appointment and ask them directly how best to keep it safe until he can bring it to them.
@@Lucinda_Jackson Hmmmm. Something's amiss with your reply. Are you suggesting that going it alone is the best policy in this case? Why not be a bit clearer about it.
@@Commandamanda
There’s neither something amiss nor anything unclear about my post. It needs to be seen by a museum unless there’s an antiquities authority in the The Netherlands that things must be presented to. I don’t think that’s the case or his friends would have told him so. That leaves a museum. Why would he make an appointment with a museum but contact British mudlarkers for advice on how best to keep the object until the appointment? He can simply ask the museum directly how they would suggest he proceed.
Or were you simply trying to drop the names of other YTers whose channels you watch? That would be funny since I’m sure we pretty much ALL watch most of the same people.
Thanks so much mate 😃😃 the sheath is one of my best finds ever and I’ll have to find out more about it! 😃 I’ve reported it to the antiquities and when it’s of historical value they might want to research it further. In the meantime I think I’ll contact some museums myself 😃 thanks for your suggestions mate! 😃🤙🤙
Beautiful Scabbard - belongs in a museum for everyone to see - a great find Leigh!
You should give the lake around Trakai castle Lithuania a fish
😄👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
Hi Leigh and Nicky, I always love it. When you and the guys get together. There are so many laughs and smiles.
This is my favorite or close to my favorite episode ever. This was so great, amazing finds.
Nikki would you please focus on buildings and windmills, long enough for me to take screen shots. I would really like to sketch them. The architecture is so amazing
Thanks Dawn, it was definitely one of my favorite finds ever! 😃 I’ll let Nicky know, I love that you’re doing that! 😃🤙🤙
Whoever reading this. I pray that whatever you are going through get better and what ever you struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine. And that everyone has a fantastic day. Amen.

Thanks very much Kristy 😃 I’ll get to work on some more adventures 💪😃🤙
There is woman mudlarker on the Thames who posts her finds as she finds them and then at the end of her videos she has them laid out, all clean with inserted historical pics. Maybe you can try to do this!
Wow amazing. You should take it to a museum & maybe they can help you preserve it
I get anxiety..I watch ur videos and you laugh...cheers me right up..philadelphia PA in US...thanks mate

Awesome to see all of you having a great time while finding great treasures. Can't wait to see more. Magnets away!
That sheath looks so amazing, well done. Those spells from a mill worked for you too 😀
I can't unsee Homer Simpson. If Homer lived in a bike riding dutch town instead of a car centric us town.
That sheath is awesome!
So cool hey! 😃🤙🤙
The knife 🔪 & sheath is the coolest 😎 👌 find ever Leigh! Will you be doing a part #2 so we can see what it looks like all cleaned up ❓
the piece of wood you pulled up around 2:45 seemed curved, like from the hull of an old wooden boat, with the magnet likely attaching to remnants of old fasteners. if you ever pull up something like this again, I would seriously recommend taking it to a local historical society or university as it could possibly have significant historical value.
How you got that on your magnet is unbelievable considering it’s copper and wood, great find mate
Another fun day of adventuring! 😎👍🍀
Please do find out more about that object! I think it might be a piece worthy of being in a museum
My heart is racing…thanks for all the vicarious fun🍀 another great day…
That scabbard is a fantastic find Leigh, that's for sure. The fact that it has survived 500 years, is incredible. 🙏 Have you had it identified? That cross ✝️ could be Knights Templar. 🤞🙂
Amazing knife and scabbard!!
Thanks mate 😃
Epic find - knife sheath. The windmill was good luck for both of you guys.
It sure was 😃😃😃
I think you should have it checked out at a museum could be a piece of history
I’d love to find out more about it 😃
Leigh! That sheath is incredible! What are the odds! Good job!
Maybe next time you can go the mill called "de salamander" and find old treasure over there
Yes we might have to go there 😃
It doesn’t get much better than that ❤
For sure 😃🤙🤙
how exciting, some great finds!!
I love watching your videos. Not only it's exciting to watch what you find but also watching you excited about what you find and enjoying it is so much fun. Thank you !
That piece is amazing! What a find, congratulations!
Thanks mate, I’m stoked! 😃😃😃
Great finds! Another fun one 😊
Thank you for taking us along ☺️
Thanks for watching Dee 😃🤙
That is just spectacular! That is beyond museum quality. You could do a complete preservation video and it would be awesome! Congrats!
Olá from Brazil sua alegria é magnífica e cada achado e o regate de uma história agradecida por compartilhar
Would love to see a follow-up video with how this was persevered and what it looks like afterwards!
What an excellent find! So excited for you. This dates back to at least 1500s. Amazing.
I think that it warrants the term "scabbard" - very well done.
Awesome finds 😊 good job Guys 😊🤘
Very good day for ya'll. Awesome
Stunning.
Well done to you Lee and all your friends.
Great find Leigh
Amazing please do a follow up when you get them preserved.
