    So the point of this video was how to not prove if the warranty works?

      Respectfully that's not what you named the video though. Seems like some click bait was used. Some of us use this platform to find out valuable info and have limited time to do so. In my opinion this video was a waste of time that you posted and used wording to have viewers assume they would learn something. Not to say that this tactic is uncommon because it is used all over this platform but when I come across it the creators credibility is lost in my book. It's especially disappointing when it's a creator I've had a history of enjoying their content like yourself.

      @@bigjawzsaidit6387 I appreciate your feedback. The icon tools have a warranty. Mine broke. I showed the process which amounted to an unsuccessful trip for a warranty claim. I thought they would just swap it out but it became challenging as it was part of a kit and the inventory is constantly sold out. My point being, it's not as easy as I had hoped. Sorry this wasn't shown in the video. :(

    I use icon screwdrivers as welding sticks in my arc welder . The large philips head screw divers seem to weld the best

    The SKU on the empty spot should lead you to an In-stock Store. By the way you are Blessed to have such a large Store. I have returned Pittsburg Torx sockets with no issues.

    Harbor freight is falling into that old death trap of getting as expensive as the higher name brands. Why buy cheap when I can buy quality at the same price.

      I went to Harbor Freight today .. got a good deal on a dolly, can beat it up and not worry about it. Still no restock of the screwdriver.

      It was brand new, I hope it wasn't bent. In person, it didn't appear that way. As much as I complain on this, I'm a Harbor Freight guy .. you win some, you lose some.

    Any store will warranty it but yeah typically they swap it out for the same one. It's up to the managers discretion if they want to give you something similar or you can pay the difference on a better one if say your going Pittsburgh to icon. Stores only know an estimated truck inventory a day or two before so they can't say when an item is coming back in stock. All they can do is check inventory of stores around you. This set really doesn't have an equivalent. The closest thing would be the Quinn set.

    Sounds like you knew whatever you were doing would snap the screwdriver before you cracked the screw.
    It's too bad we have to take your word for it, or else this could be legit data for tool buying.

      @jamzdotnet  Před 4 měsíci

      Using it on a screw, I turned it, and the little tip snapped. Thanks for watching!

    I think HF require you to exchange the entire set, if it came in a set. Not sure what you were doing with screwdriver to cause that much damage - I would think the screw or your hands will give up before piece of tool breaks off. Icon and Pittsburgh both have lifetime warranty. Unless you are using tool every day, Pittsurgh while not as comfortable, will do that same job and cost half as much.

    • @jamzdotnet
      @jamzdotnet  Před 4 měsíci

      I have to imagine it was a manufacturing flaw .. literally it snapped when I was loosening a screw. I used it 2 times. The others haven't had an issue.

    i think the system they have is nice. its unfortunate that they ran out but locally i have 3 harbor freights i can run it. in my opinion, i would rather run into the store, speak with some one and get a replacment same day. Rather than sending it in waiting a couple weeks and getting one back...

    • @jamzdotnet
      @jamzdotnet  Před 4 měsíci

      Agree, it's nice to swap out. Went by today, still out. I'm thinking this one might be an oddball given it was in a set?

    Wait until they get more in? Go to a different store? I am sure they would have replaced your screwdriver if they had replacements even if you abused the tool.

    It's your fault for buying a cheap harbor freight screwdriver when you could have gotten almost the same thing from wera, vessel, whia, PB Swiss. Where do you buy it one time and you keep it for decades. And they never do this.. stop buying cheap harbor freight garbage. Is not free to drive down there putting all the wear and tear on your vehicle plus the gas. For each and every tool you bring back. That adds up staggering fast
