Try flushing fuel lines and engine oil with BG 44k & EPR respectively. Cleans out all the internals and usually a cheaper starting point than changing sensors etc. might not solve it, but it just might!

How to remove the roll from the piano: Pull on the piece of wood in front of the keys, once open it will reveal the controls to the piano. Put the lever on the far right to the left, attach the paper on the bottom to the spool on the top. Rewind the roll by hand. Once the paper is off the bottom spool, push the top spool to the left and you can remove it. Any questions?

They made player pianos in the millions in the US, which is why there are still many around today. The market peaked in the 20s. You said that your piano was built in 1895, but that was probalbly a patent year on the sound board. To find the original year look up a serial number catalog for the company that made the piano and you should find the date. My guess is that you will need to rebulid the player action of this piano unless it already works. The job takes around 150 hours, but its worth it in the end.
