At the end of a quest he was eerily looming above me while some revoltures feasted on kulu's corpse. It was awesome.
I WISH my Kadachi hunts were as simple as Bagelgoose butting in.
One time, my Kadachi was limping away, and a Rathian dropped in and starting blasting him with fireballs and tripped the Pitfall Trap I tried to set for the Kadachi. It had been a very frustrating hunt up to that point, so I start hammering out my frustrations on the intrusive dragon's head, only for it to get back up and IMMEDIATELY get tackled by a Deviljho that I imagine must have materialized out of nowhere.
So now i'm out of traps, Dung Pods are low, AND we have a pissed off dragon and a Deviljho running around and I still need to capture the Kadachi, and naturally they just follow the Kadachi and I for the rest of the mission.

Invasion monsters aren't tough on their own but when you are geared to fight a specific monster they are a pain.

*They camp out in a small bush and a Rajang jumps into the area, challenging the Deviljho and they size each other up*
Pupil: "Sensei, is that the target, it has sleek skin?"
Master: "No, Brachydios uses blastblight, that's a Rajang it uses thunder....this is a wierd, something isn't right with the ecosystem"
*The sky darkens, rain cloud emerge and a heavenly light beams down as the Rajang and Deviljho stop fighting and both join forces as a White Fatalis slowly descends, sending a line of blast explosions towards some nearby trees as a warning to the other 2 monsters*
Pupil: "Sensei is that......"
Master: "NO THE FLIPPING IT ISN'T, WHAT THE HECK! WHO THE HECK EVEN POSTED THIS QUEST! *takes deep breath* Sorry for the outburst, listen a Brachydios doesn't have wings and is not white. I swear,when i get back, I'm having a long discussion with the guild master. HR4 quest my as....."
*The hunter stops talking and his eyes widen as a Dodogama lumbers towards the already lethal battle field and spits blast blight on a small boulder so that it can eat the rock fragments. The Deviljho instantly sees it and immediately digs away to a different area. The Rajang sees it and goes Super Saiyan 3 and uses its laser to jet boost itself outta there. The White Fatalis...plays dead*
Pupil: "Wow, that monster has sleek skin, uses blast blight, and doesn't have wings or white skin! Plus, it just frightened all 3 of the other monsters. That *has* to be the target, don't worry master, I'll slay it and show you that I'm ready for Hr5 quests!" *Jumps outta bush and start running to the Dodogama from behind*
Master: "No, wait!" *Master jumps out to grab his pupil and turns him in the direction of camp* "We gotta go *_NOW_"*
*They begin to head for the trees for cover*
Pupil: "But master, why would you: slayer of the dragon slayer Nergigante; Smiter of the great destroyer Shah Dalamadur; and Chosen Savior from the Calamitous Duo, Akantor and Ukanlos, choose to flee from such a small creature in comparison!?"
*They're almost to the woods*
Master: "No,that one isn't the trouble, it's only the messenger."
*Almost to woods*
Pupil: "Messenger of what?"
*An invisible force knocks them back near Dodogama, to the exact spot they started running from*
Pupil: "Ugh.....ow....master what was that?"
Master: *groans* "Ugh, somewhere far away, somehow, a hunter has accomplished the great feat of perfectly dodging the hip check of a Plesioth, and we got hit by the remaining kinetic force that was meant for them."
Pupil: "Woooow" 😱
Master: "Yeah, it's a profound achievement and all...but at a time like this..."
*They both hear a loud grumble behind them and slowly stand up and turn around to the view of Dodogama only inches away, staring at them with its cute soulless eyes.*
Pupil: "M-M-Master......about earlier......"
*Dodogama barfs slime all over them and waddles off*
Pupil: "M-Master, messenger of what?"
*The master falls to his knees*
Master: "...It's too late now..."
Pupil: "Master! M-Messenger of what!?"
*A shadow unnoticeably passes over head*
Pupil: "MASTER! Snap out of it! Answer me!"
Master: "....messenger.....of death"
*Master bows his head and patiently waits*
Pupil: "Master please! We can still make it, we just have to......"
*Bazel happily humming his theme music through the sky and sees the two hunters that the Dodogama marked, it squints its eyes and silently whispers into the the wind*
Master: "I know you heard it, what did the wind tell you?"
Pupil: *falls to his knees* ".......Omae......wa......mou......Sh-Sh-in....."
*Before he can finish, they both abruptly die from the impact of an unidentifiable flying object*
*12 hours later*
*The Majestic White Fatalis arises and sees that the area is clear, the heavens open up and it begins to ascend, halfway up it turns its back to the sun, Then suddenly.......*
"OMAE WA MOU SHINDERU!"
*Nothing is safe from the B-Bomber, Bazelgeuse soars through the sky, unendingly patrolling its turf*
*Meanwhile _ at the bottom of ocean*
*Plesioth does a hip check, Bazelgeuse flinches falls from the sky*
Moral of story: Stay off Plesioth's turf, 3 Cart Omni-range King ftw

The sheer horror in the voice chats wheb encountering him for the first time is real. XD I remember helping out this one hr expedition and one of the guys screamed like a little girl after bazel popped up and divebombed the poor sod....mm not that I blane him.
Same here joined a 11 year old girls journey I was helping her against pink rathian and she screamed so loud I almost thought my eardrums were going to burst I never heard from her since that was 2 years ago by the way I guess she gave up I don't know my internet got so bad I couldn't play world online anymore

Basically mix seregios with a stealth bomber, then give it the invasive aggressive behaviour of a deviljho, it’s genius but, ultimately nightmare fuel

I love the change of pace the song does around the minute mark. The first times you see bazelgeuse, it's terrifying and you either die or flee. Hearing the song for more than a minute means you're trying to actually fight him, so you deserve a nice heroic bgm to accompany

First time spotting this SOB in the forest gliding through the trees all silent like my first thought was "Um.. Wtf was that?" so i brushed it off. Later in my hunt i notice the scales falling to the ground, I was understandably confused. The music started and that damn creature dive bombed me from the behind and I nearly shit myself. First time I've been scared during a game in a long while and this ain't even horror.

The first time this kind of monster came to me was during the trace collection for the pink rathian
At first, I said that that was the creature, that it was not a rathian, I confused this monster with the other one and since it was my first time, I didn't even joke decently hurt him and stay away from him.
Until he finally left the area and I was able to be calm at last, He appeared from the top in the trees, I did not find anything related to him, he scared me to death, just like you, I was afraid to approach, he was very fast
World has got to be one of the best games ever made
I had him drop on me while I was farming the mud fish monster, I literally went “What the fuck is that thing?!” and “OMG, it drops bombs?!” the moment I seen him. I never played the previous monster Hunter games so I never knew anything about him. Before Deviljho came out to World though, he gave me the run for my money whenever I encountered his during a trap mission, I’d be all like “Go away you bomb dropping asshat!”

Counting old theme is kinda not fair
Bazel's theme resonates with me for some reason. Its like the first part encompasses the feeling of fear, upon seeing or being ambushed by him. He is unique among his fellow wyverns after all. The music seems to encapsulate that feeling of taking on a terrifying new monster. Around the 0:57 second mark the tone seems to change though, as if a newfound respect akin to what the guild wants its hunters to feel is instilled in the music. It becomes empowering, like it represents a change in your hunters' psyche. Where once was fear is the thrill of the hunt and respect for such an overbearing and powerful creature.
That's a nice analysis!
And at 1:26 the music starts getting more fast and impactful. It's telling you "This is no time to run, this is no time to fear. It's time to hunt."

Despite being a newbie in Monster Hunter I knew hell would come after the 2nd Zorah Magdarus fight. The low rank campaign felt short so I knew there would be more after that

That moment when Bazel crashes your hunts so often that you have a full set of its armor and weapons without even trying to.
I’d have that experience too… if I had a proper armor set to deal with it in the first place… spent the better half of my encounters with this creature by running for cover or waiting for my real target to move to a different area
My favorite moments of the game is when you don't even see B52 before his theme starts playing. I was hunting Pink Rath and his theme starts playing, I stop moving immediately and like 5 of his bombs drop from the sky in front of me.

But Capcom has to do it right. They just play it out as a rajang mission. But then as you're halfway into the hunt, pickle comes in. Then, bagel's music starts up.

His wing design is amazing and his wing span's intimidating.
His wings are honestly the most striking part of his design for me.
There’s no wing fingers, only PLANE. The absolute *span* of them is absurd, and is the reason he’s so intimidating while flying; he _looks_ like a bomber plane.
Other wyverns’ wings are organic and have a believable skeletal structure, but this is just straight up *a set of airplane wings.*
@@Enneamorph to be fair if it had standard Wyvern wings it would have trouble flying, so it evolved a larger wingspan to help it take off the ground and become a terror of the new world

You know, I think if you capture a Beetlejuice, then talk to the science homie that's studying it back I'm Astera, he will say that they're found in the Old World too, but they evolved their scales differently. It very well COULD be referring to Seregios and B52 being legitimately closely related.
Seregios is supposed to come from the new world, that's the lore. It's weird he never showed up in the game, well maybe in a future DLC.

@@loading2463 Seregios was never stated to be from the new world as far as I'm aware, just that he's from a far off region. But even if he did, they were all chased out of their home by the apex, so maybe they just didn't return yet
On the other hand Bagel Juice is in Rise and has the properties of Seething B52 by default, so retroactively that might be what they're talking about.

It's quite literally the New Worlds Deviljho. You even upgrade the Power and Armorcharms using this guys talons, just like with the pickles.
And he's coming back angry... the king will claim back his throne as the supreme apex.

Bazelgeuse is still one of my favourite monsters of all time to this day, and it's simply how my first encounter went with it.
I was in an expedition, tracking down an anjanath. Everything was going well until I saw some strange black rocks in the ground, I was a bit tired back then so I didn't pay much heed to them simply because my brain didn't process them as something new. When I finally tracked down the anjanath and engaged it, everything was going as usual. Nothing peculiar and and nothing out of the ordinary.
_But_ the theme changed, and suddenly black rocks were raining from the sky, and with a screech the bazelgeuse came crashing down. The black rocks I stood amidst suddenly exploded, not even my shield could protect me. Frankly it felt as though the 4th wall had been broken, since what was supposed to be an ordinary hunt turned into a desperate struggle for life and death with a never-known-before intruder.
The anjanath was gone, so now it was just me and the Bazelgeuse. I bobbed and weaved and parried and blocked with my lance, when a realization hit me. This thing is a surprise carpet bomber! In my head, quite literally the coolest thing ever. I tested my mettle against it for a solid half hour in a constant dance of attacking and blocking, but not even my shield could protect me against the explosive charge of an enraged bazelgeuse. I was out of potions, and on my last legs. However, the bazelgeuse too was not unscathed. It was crippled and hurt. Right as I was ready to fight to the death, the Bazelgeuse had a different idea. All of a sudden it took off, and left the locale. I was left in the dust hurt and in awe, feeling as though I had just gained a new nemesis and a new rival.
It had no mention anywhere, and no introduction. _And Bazelgeuse did not need one_ as it made it's own. In my eyes, the true king of the sky.
After fighting him a few times, Basil's not that hard. He's only scary in the same way Jho is.
Intense PTSD.
Maybe you are just very skilled, but to be honest with you, I've heard horror stories about bagel. 2 tempered bagels mission, raping, and never ending bombs. Jho is just horrifying, and trust me, I've heard enough people talking about their experience and they never say its easy peasy. but what can i say, they are definitely impressive and shiver inducing monsters.
It's less skill and more sheer experience. He's big, scary, and hits like a freight train, but he's slow, has a lot of openings and some very large weak points. Not easy, but easier than the likes of Jho (probably, we'll see when he returns).
Still, you think those are bad, wait until you meet Rajang...
Rajangs weakstop is basically his entire body, especially the tail, but my god he hits like a fucking nuke. He’s a fast as fuck boi as well
Bazel bombs can easily cut your health in half but as you say, he is slow-ish and have a lot of openings, and unlike Jho he has a bigger frame meaning is easier to attack compared to Jho whom only needs to turn to leave you swinging the air.
He’s still very powerful but he has a lot of downsides that balances things out, all in all I much prefer to fight against the bomber plane rather than the angry pickle

Best monster theme from MHW. I was wandering around in the Rotten Vale doing my business and suddenly I see the silhouette of Bazelgeuse for the very first time. At this point I had NO idea more monsters would appear, so I run very excitedly towards his directions, finally reaches him and then this music start and I'm ready to kick his ass. Of course I wasn't able to bring him down despite trying my hardest but it was just an epic moment realizing I had just faced my first high rank monster

This is the best monster theme music in my opinion but the problem is you never want to fight the monster but at the same time you want to here the AWSOME music
And the funniest part is that the first time i saw this monster was when i was in a high rank assigned quest and when i saw it i was like “oh yeah that must be the mystery monster” and then one second later i was like “why is he glowing red” and then i was like “AHHHHH IM GETTING PEARl HARBORED FUUUUUU-“
I remember this encounter clear as day, the quest was tickled pink. Saw the largest shadow I'd ever seen cast upon myself and Anjanath.
Heard an air raid siron like roar, looked up. And there he was, my favourite monster. Love at first sight 🙏

Ahh B-52, you are the one monster who actually gave me the run for my money when I first encountered him during my first run into a high rank mission. I was literally like “What the hell is that thing?!” while I was on the mic with some friends. I still love his theme though, totally epic
I love how monster hunter's music is always so emotion. The standard combat music gets your blood pumping and ready to fight, Proof of a hero makes you feel powerful, and this song...

If deviants are ever reintroduced to World, there should be a special Bazelgeuse that doesn't drop bombs. This time, its physical attacks explode on contact. Its divebomb creates a Teostra supernova on the ground when it hits.

The War never ended, still hunting him. We have however, become very good at surviving it, I always melee him to death now. it's much easier than people seem to think, just be very watchful for the bombs and be ready to dodge on a moments notice.
i love the instruments used in this. everything is made to sound like an old opera like ride of the valkyries. gives off huge plane vibes and it fits well with how bazel literally flies overhead and drops bombs

i dont think jho will be stronger than bazel because bazel is in the highest non elder dragon category (14k zenny per hunt quest)

My first time I encountered him I was hunting a Kulu-Ya-Ku and I was over voice chat with some friends. Then I see this Behemoth entering the scene, bombarding the poor Kulu and fly away like saying "my work here is done", it was stressful but funny. Hell, I tend to consider him a semi-ally in some fights
When i first encountered it and started hearing the music, and then THAT FCKING TERRIFYING ROAR, i knew i was dead, i ran for like 3 minutes and returned to base.
A week or so before launch, I saw a picture of this guy. For some reason, I got the impression that he was going to be a small Seregios wanna be--I don't know why he just looked small in the leaked picture I saw.
Imagine my surprise when I ran into him on my first or second venture into High Rank, lol.
This mans is my favorite mans. Hands down. Whatever game, whenever he shows up, I smile

Bazelgeuse is very special to me. Whenever it invaded my missions, it attacked my enemies when my health was at around 5-10%, and it never fked me over. I don't know why, but I see Bazelgeuse as my monster bestie. Even in Rise, when I was down to around 3% health and Magnamalo was about to attack me while I was paralyzed, Bazelgeuse's theme started playing. And he started a turf war with Magnamalo and single-handedly saved me from death and after that he went flying off again xD. All hail my German Bazel bomber boy!❤️

I like Bazelgeuse. He’s in my top 5 monsters, and part of my criteria is the music for the monster. Here’s my analysis.
It begins with a high string ostinato to bring the player to a sort of high alert state. Then the low brass chimes in, and you know that something big just dropped in. The strings grow softer as you desperately seek shelter from the onslaught you’re about to face, but then grow louder slowly as you gather the courage to face such a beast. The brass section announces both your awareness of this creature, and his awareness of you, making him more intimidating at first, but switching to a more heroic sounding part shortly afterward. As you prepare to face the bomber, the strings grow louder still, and then the brass and low brass have a clash against each other, trading phrases as you trade blows with the monster. Then the theme loops.
This perfectly orchestrated piece tells a story, and it makes all the more sense when we compare our fights to a dance. This is how Bazelgeuse dances with you. It’s intense, and high stakes, and you have to clash with him eventually.

I'll never forget my first time seeing this monster. New player (World was my first game) and just recently in High Rank. I was about 3 quests or so in hunting Barroth when all of a sudden the music changes and this guy FACEPLANTS on Barroth. The camera locked on him and showed his name to intro him like World does. It was just a feeling of sheer terror, not knowing what this thing was or what it does. For the longest time I was very careful about my surroundings when fighting monsters up until I was finally able to beat Bazel.
In Rise I took him on immediately when he unlocked, but just the experience of him in World has caused me to always have some dung pods on me to this day.
