The commercial: "Bomberman! bomberman! mass destruction across the land... makes a bomb, any size! And he's yours to customize, look out! Your very own bomberman! (doo doo dooooooo!) cross his path, you'll explode! in the brand new adventure mode, different levels to explore, on Nintendo 64, look out! YOUR VERY OWN BOMBERMAN!!!" I remember seeing the commercials for this game when I was in the 6th grade, love it
One of my favorite little details about this game is if you go back to the early levels after getting the true ending, serius gives pissed off dialogue instead of tutorials.
Respect to you for going an extra mile to get the true ending
Same. Wasn't sure if he was going to do that or not. I wonder if he'll do the same for bomberman hero?
If I’m enjoying the game I’ll usually do extra stuff. Unless it’s like impossibly long
@@Thabeast721 There is a hidden challenge, if youre interested, you must collect all 120 golden cards on hard mode in under 3 hours to unlock a golden armor set for multiplayer mode.
@@jesseherman5540 In my opinion Bomberman Hero is the easiest one to 100% complete. It was the only 3d Bomberman that I fully completed.
This was such a nostalgic one for me. The amount of hours I spent playing multiplayer was probably on par with Goldeneye. And it also reminded me that I've never beat this game -- I got stuck on that highway level and gave up. Maybe I'll give it another go now, 25 years later.
I only ever played this games multi-player. I played more of the second attack then this one, but it reminds me of birthday parties back in elementary school.
The main game is hard
It was really hard as a kid as well, but once you grow up it actually starts becoming mostly a fair affair. Just go with normal mode and hold on to the heart item and you should be able to reach the end.
The multiplayer was addicting and fun
Don’t forget about Diddy King Racing and Starfox 64 multiplayer
Looks like a lot of love was put into this games development. Always nice to see.
It's a really well-designed game, especially for its era. I think the graphics are pretty awesome really.
Bomberman, Mario, Starfox, and Mario Kart were my 4 main N64 games growing up. I never got all the gold cards, so today I learned you get betrayed for doing 100%
mommy didn't let you have golden eye?
@@southmyth55 You OK pal?
This game was a big chunk of my childhood. Love this game, the music the levels and gameplay and puzzles are amazing. Nostalgia is strong with this one too
The 4 bonus battle stages you get for 100%'ing the game were so satisfying... my friends and I were so stoked to have new levels to play on, and 15yrs later, my gf and I were just playing this game because she found the multiplayer so fun. I wish they still gave great rewards like this for fully completing a game.
I had no idea they existed until like last year. Kinda blew my mind. 6 year old me would have cried when he tried those levels though lol
If you highlight over Battle mode and press start really fast you'd be able to get the 4 extra levels too. But they would go away after you turned the system off.
@@PopADoseYo Dude I knew of that trick and my friends and I could NOT for the life of us get it to work... even tried using a turbo controller and still couldn't get it. Finally reached a point where I said "screw this.. I'll beat hard mode darn it" lolol
Great video! I’m glad you 100% the game! My younger self would of flipped out seeing that 6th world!
Would have
totally agree with you about the very few games I beat as a little kid sticking with me forever. very very few lol
One of the games i was waiting for you to play.
i LOOOOOOVED this game as a kid. It had a huge effect on my taste in video games, stories and art. idk what it is about young kids and super sentai but we just ate that stuff up, This, power rangers, sailor moon, its was all just so cool and exciting. I like the voice clips in this and it definitely has that classic Hudson Soft look, the very bright and cheery art with lazers and robots. very intune to the sensibilities of a child. I think all the Bomberman games were good in the n64 days, this was really his peak as unfortunately the next gen bomberman games werent as good if i remember them correctly. I guess the hardware just got too involved and complex for hudsonsoft.
I freakin love this game. The multiplayer is so much fun
SO much fun! spent hours in my friend’s basement playing that mode
@@RobertF-zj2rm It’s the best. All the funny power ups would have my siblings and I cracking up.
especially the sudden death time!
this series has been such an adventure! incredible progress and skills. i almost never use twitch, but this series has me poppin' into your channel now and again to see what's coming in the future. thanks for the fun, high-quality videos!
I am so happy that you did 100% on this.
The normal game uses none of the gameplay features you need for the real ending.
So i am glad to see you also learned those techniques because for me they are one of the best part of the game.
Love watching your n64 series!!! Day after day you bring back that Nostalgia. Best of luck on all your future videos!!
"To be honest, I'm a little disappointed in you...welp, you'll probably never see me again, peace" best ending ever lol
That was a nostalgia bomb for me, never managed to beat the game tho. It was all about the multiplayer for me
I just wanna say that I love this series! Always excited to see a new entry, and really excited for when you roll Aidyn Chronicles the First Mage
This was my favorite bomberman -- such a unique one. The multiplayer was the GOAT though, though #2 on snes was sweet too
As a kid I was rather jealous of one of my friends for owning this game. There's a certain satisfaction watching you play and narrate decades later that I just can't describe with words.
Plus, your voice grew on me by the end lol
Everyone: "Add Altair to Smash Bros."
Smash Bros 6: "introducing Altair from Bomberman!"
Everyone: "not what we meant but not disappointed."
I caught up with the youtube video series and i have been following your journey on twitch since Superman 64.
This is a great series and congrats on reaching 100 games already!
Absolutely love this series
So glad they put this game on Wii U virtual console. This is a game I always forget about when I think of the N64, but it took up a fairly large chunk of my time spent with the system
loved bomberman games as a kid. the 64 games in particular were so cool to me back then!
One of the best series on CZcams! Keep up the great work
HOORAY! One if my all-time favorite N64 games! I myself definitely wanna get that 100% some day soon
This game is the "obscure N64 Bomberman game" for me. I grew up with HERO, which I loved. Had no clue it was a sequel, but when I finished it, it definitely felt like there was something I was missing. Really fun platformer that I wish got a sequel on the Switch, not a remake/re-release. A full-on brand-new Bomberman platformer. The boss fights were fun as a kid, haven't been able to play it in a while
I enjoyed this video so much. Thanks for the content!
Really well-edited video here :)
Ty :)
This may be the best series on CZcams. You may be the only man in the world that will beat every n64 game. You should Guinness world record that shit
I love this series, you truly are a beast for taking this on. The only sad part is I’m almost through the whole series.
It took me a forever to beat this game as a kid and using gamefaqs to figure out all the secret content. It was def a challenge but I loved it. I wish games today made me feel how these oldies did man. Thanks for the nostalgia again!
I'm really loving this series!! I can't wait for you to get to Mischief Makers! That's one of my favorites. I'm not sure if you've played that one.
I love this game so much, it was my first n64 game.
SuperMario 64 and Bomberman 64 were my firsts XD
@@michaeldunn8972 Most of n64 consoles came with SuperMario 64, mine didn't, I've played super mario 64 but never owned one, awesome game!
I remember getting this game as a kid when it came out. My brother and I spent a lot of time on this one and loved it!
So hard and confusing yet fun at the same time
@@legendcrump2375 We never did figure out how to get every multiplayer outfit fully unlocked. I looked up how to get them all years later and I have no idea how they expected most people to figure most of this stuff out!
yooooo I loved this game as a kid! Can't wait to see you play 2nd attack! I played that one a ton
One of my favorite parts of Friday.
Thanks beast!
i love this so much
Nice vid thab! Can't wait for bomberman hero! It has an amazing soundtrack
Thanks Beast 😎
Love this series!
I didn't have a 64 when I was a kid so I really enjoy these. Thab never disappoints with his commentary.
Once you learn to bomb jump this game gets incredibly fun.
This N64 Challenge you are doing is awesome, I can't wait for Resident Evil 2, I'll definitely watch the full play through on your other channel!!
Have you already explained how you got your hands on every N64 game? Love the series, keep it up!
He's using an EverDrive-64 to play every N64 game.
You aren't kidding about Rainbow Palace. I remember finally getting there and thinking "Yeah, right!"
One of my favs as a kid. While somewhat rough around the edges this was definitely a sleeper hit! One of the best soundtracks on the console and so much content! I never managed to get all the cards so thanks for showing me the true ending ✌️ chapter complete.
11:18 what a nice visual effect. Like a proto MotionBlur, for a 97 game thats pretty advanced
Love this series!
Been watching your videos of the N64 games i liked and man was this one of them. A couple of my friends had N64's and 1 friend had this game, it was such a good multiplayer game on par with smash bros and perfect dark. I watched him play through the story mode and it looked pretty cool, definitely something I would have enjoyed if I had the chance to play it.
I barely own more than a dozen n64 games but somehow with this and the previous one you managed to get two of them in a row. I never got the true ending as a kid after getting pretty frustrated with the gold cards in the boss fights. It was a 2nd hand cart, so I remember also being frustrated with crooked cart issues. I'm upset now to learn it was an entire extra world I missed out on lol, thanks for showing it off.
Another great n64 video thab!
Really wish I was first introduced to this game as a kid. Young bradwurst would have been blown away
Me at the end : " Not another stupid sports game , not another stupid sports game " . "Baseball something !" Dammit !!
This game is great, but Bomberman Hero is the one I played more, and can't wait to see here
3:13
The Assassin's Creed crossover we never knew we wanted.
I’ve been waiting for bomberman to pop up! So excited
Wow! I played this on SNES but never seen it on N64! Gonna enjoy this video!
Great game. Can't wait to see you tackle the sequel
i got this game in 2016 when i began collecting N64 and i had/still have no idea how to play it but it's fun and relaxing and i pop it in on occasion, totally will give it another try..can't wait for you to get a Turok game
What a plot twist at the end... The second bomberman game in N64 is great too. Can't wait to see your review.
The legend is back
Can’t wait for Goemons Great Adventure. Such a fun game that a lot of people don’t know about
Just finished this game for the first time a few months ago. I think I would have liked it more if I had played it back in the day. Great series though. Can't wait for more.
Epic as always
Love this series love this series love this series
This is a pretty great game with unique gameplay. Very different than other Bomberman titles, but still a Bomberman game. Good puzzles, good action boss fights.
that is the best game for n64, hands down. the amount of trick shots, jumps, bridges and stuff you can build is insane.
I loved this game and it's one im looking to add to my collection again. I remember not being able to complete it to 100% because I could never find one thing
I was looking forward to this game love the music brings back memories good memories
Love this game. It was pretty damn good back in the day, and some of the music is has stuck in my mind all these years.
I loved this game. Didn't get to play it until I read 13 or 14 but I had a ton of fun with it. Story mode was great, but I spent endless hours with my cousin on multiplayer. That music was the best.
I remember beating this game, ill never forget it - a true classic
That game was a lot cooler than I thought it would be. GG.
One of the first games I beat was Kirby's Adventure on the NES and I remember that game very fondly.
Every Friday I look forward to this
Can’t wait for The 2nd Attack! That was my ultimate Bomberman game
I mimic your “ What’s that!?!” when you are wondering about your next game is, when I am reviewing my analysts work that I manage (when they do it wrong).
It looks like you didn't know how to kick bombs, and press, R to stop them. That might of made some of the bomb puzzles easier.
didn't knew about the 6th level. Amazing.
Wow I almost shed a tear,I miss this game
best video i saw this year
This game looks really sick. I would definitely play it if they added it to NSO.
The problem being: Konami.
Day 467 of appreciating Thab’s content. Nintendo will forever be my favorite game company for years to come.
This was one of my mom's favorite games. She got all of the gold cards in the standard levels, but didn't get all of them in the Rainbow Palace.
Cards on that blue dragon is literally all I remembered from this game. The difficulty gap from the rest of the game and getting cards from bosses huge.
Got into this series recently and I've been loving it. When you ever roll Wonder Project J2 I recommend playing a translation patch. It just makes a much more enjoyable experience for a VN/Simulation game
Somehow missed this vid. Bomberman 64 is fun, relatively easy. Bomberman Hero is where the devs went a bit nuts and made it difficult. The pharaoh tank boss in the water level specifically.
My friend and I played multiplayer on this for HOURS/DAYS when it came out.
i put so many hours into this game as a kid but as frustrating as it is to say i just couldn't beat the volcano type boss, i'm thinking it's time for a revisit
Fun game! Not stoked for the next game but interested to see how it is and how you beat it.
Love the melee shoutout!
Some of the best 4 player multiplayer in this game.
Let's take a second to appreciate the gorgeous anti aliasing in this game. It's mind boggling that they achieved it with overall good framerates back then.
This game was so hard and confusing when I was a kid
That purple fish looks like an angler fish. Deep ocean dweller who uses its antennae to lure prey in front of its face.
I 100%ed this game back in the day. Squeezing all those gold cards can be tough.
My neighbor had the Japanese version when I was growing up,. Never really understood the game, this definitely cleared that up lol
The soundtrack to this is bustin
