Wow, a left-turner strikes again. Glad to see you're riding again. I guess there's no way to be 100% safe, but like you, I do what I can to reduce the chances of an accident. I read the book "Sport Riding Techniques" by Nick Ienatsch, I really liked it, learned a lot, I believe it's made me a better rider. I bought it on Amazon for $20. I view riding as a worthy calculated risk, I recently broke 3 ribs playing hockey, so sh*t can happen anywhere,.. Cheers!

99% of the cruiser riders in my area have no gear at all, and very little clothing. The sport bike riders wear at least a helmet. My friend rides a naked and has most of the gear recommended IMO. Interesting to see how the classes of riders react to safety.

Still wear it every day. It has faded though. Not as bright or vibrant as it was when new.

Boggles my mind that people don't get safety gear and ride in shorts, tee shirt, and helmet. Saw a dude once with hiking sandals. SMH
