What you're really mastering is yourself. In the grand scheme of things nothing any of us does is important. Example: The men who literally built the city I live in get no flowers on their graves only a few generations after they've passed. The point is seeing someone dedicate themselves wholly to their craft. It's always an admirable thing--to me and many others. Kobe inspired people. You're trying to convince people not to be inspired. Not the best use of one's time.

Players today aren't built like Kobe or Jordan. They gave their life to get better and it was never enough. Instead the call their friends and pick a team with salary cap and picks so that they can go play for a championship together and not compete against each other. Todays players dont have that drive.
