Afaik, "zine" has more meaning to it than just "slang for magazine." It usually refers to small homemade indie magazines, many of which are printed in small numbers or few issues.
The opposite of a vase would be a block of material that perfectly fills a vase, like as if someone had frozen water inside a vase and then extracted the ice by breaking the vase.

The stinky bird works through evaporation. The liquid inside the glass at the bottom is a type of alcohol with a low condensation point, the rest of the glass tube is filled with atomized alcohol. When the birds head gets wet, the felt helps to quickly evaporate the water trapped within its tiny fibers as it sways back and forth. The gas starts to rapidly cool and shrinks in volume and pulls the liquid up to the top by vacuum force. The bird then tips forward into the water glass, the angle allows the liquid alcohol to empty back down the tube, and the process starts all over again.

Heh, if the term zines bothers you, you would have hated subcultural stuff before the 2000s. DIY, and independent zines, were critical to spreading information. You would see them in indy record stores, subcultural clothing stores, a lot of comic shops, etc. When they mention scene reports, that is exactly what a lot of them are. Some got mainstream, the biggest of which is probably rolling stone. You would also see these, and flyers, at local music venues too. Before the internet became integrated into normal life, you had to go to places, talk to people in person, and read what others produced. That or produce stuff your self. Hell i knew bands that pressed thier own damn vinyl. There was also a lot of catalogues from indy production and distribution companies. I could go on, at length, at the preinternet means lf spreading subculture and foreign media. Getting anime often required going into smoke filled, dingy, expo areas, of cheap hotels. You talked to shady feeling guys with boxes of VHS tapes, stacks of distro catalogues, etc. Oh, those were definitely days.
1:45:25 aha, here's my random surfing of Wikipedia coming in handy. Orgone is believed by most crystal-snorting esoteric types to be an anti-Entropic lifeforce centered around and associated with libido and the actions associated with such (knowing the internet, a statuette of Sonic would be an excellent idol for such concepts). It was mostly a way of selling big wooden boxes called 'Orgone Energy Accumulators' that you'd sit in for hours at a time to accumulate some of that yummy-scrumptious anti-Entropic goodness. Interestingly, the only doctor who vouched for its credibility only did so because it meant his wife would buy one and sit inside it all day instead of annoying him
Cool part about the game is that those posters really help let you know what characters look like outside of the simple MSPaint style. The Itch page for the game has them all(?) posted, too, for a better look.
Love your stuff, Librarian! This particular anthology is incredibly creative, and manages both humour and horror blended in an excellent way. The protagonist running commentary really helps bring it all together. Since you're taking pronounciation tips: in-EX-or-ably. Emphasis on 'ex', not 'or'.
did you notice the breif clip where, after meeting killer x, he winds the wind up thing on the back of BB's head? which is what those two yellow protrusions on her head are. so she really IS a wind up doll
