Inside the palace, only the royal family is allowed to stay. Their servants and other staff do stay within the palace premise but far from the actual palace.
City palace in udaipur is not hotel,,, half part of palace is museum and another half is still royal residence of maharajah Arvindsinghji,,,

But Arvind Singh Mewar is not the real legal heir of this royal family. The real and legal heir of this royal family is Maharana Mohinder Singh Mewar, the elder brother of Arvind Singh Mewar.
