- With the release of VSDC 6.9, we’ve also rolled out a brand new built-in tool: LUT editor.
VSDC LUT editor allows you to:
- edit existing LUTs (those you’ve selected from the built-in menu or imported from 3rd-party resources) - and create your own LUTs from scratch!
In this tutorial, we are taking a close look at the new tool and showing you how to perform color correction like a real pro using LUTs.

Oh my god. What a coincidence. I discovered the custom LUT feature today and tried to make it but failed. Then I searched your channel for a tutorial but didn't find one. And here you are with one. Damn.
Yes... I tried it... It is awesome... I used it to reduce spill on the green screen video.... And it works prettt awesome...... But its not perfect for spill suppression....... But its very cool.......
I hope there is an advanced spill suppresor option for green screen remover..... HSL keying is more accurate... I can key out hairs and reflection pretty fastly and accurately..... But spill suppression is difficult
NICE! This LUT isn't as detailed as After Effects but I love how much easier this is to use. Thank you! Question, is VSDC thinking about adding more text effects along with 3D text?
Advanced Congo for 100 k ✨❤️
Very comprehensive - Another thing I'll be trying out, thanks.
How do you get an animated, talking 'HEAD'/Avatar on videos?
Yes the head s looking good
Just amazing as always 😍🤩
Vsdc thank you so much
Glad you like it!
this is mind blowing, nvr would've thought something like this could be done this easily, thnks a tonn u guys!
Glad you liked it!
O YEAH!! THIS IS AWESOME !! Thank You so much. I've been trying to do this for soooo long. Time to get BUSY 😁
A suggestion for VSDC is the addition of specific color wheels for Highlights, Midtones and Shadows. It would also be interesting and important to add Scopes such as Waveform, Vectorscope and RGB Parade, it would help a lot in Color Correction and Color Grading
we are working on it
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor bless you guys, just renewed my pro subscription for the year, this comment has me so excited!
Again a great tutorial...
Thanks VSDC Love it !
so powerful tool
Thank you! We're thrilled to hear you like it.
Can the lut editor be accessed on the videos basic effects tab? A shortcut there would be awesome, that tab is my main colour workspace, incorporating the LUTs with the Basic Effects tab would be useful
You can click "the down arrow" in the LUT menu on the left side of the basic effects tab, your custom LUTs will also be there.
I Become fan Of VSDC Video Editor After This Update
Yay! This is great to hear. Thank you
YOUR HAVE CREATE ANOTHER UPDATE WHERE YOU CAN SAVE THE BASIC EFFECTS IF DO ITLL BE SO EASY FOR COLOUR GRADING
It very convenient ! But i gave you an idea to implement that your competitor don't have : LUT animation, an easy to use simple animation tool to make the LUT graph bend from pre defined pattern over time, or even use the pattern from "edit the beat" and the motion tracker
Thanks for the idea! But it's technically impossible by the rules of points on diagram. But we worked on solution for saving/editing diagram points for easy to use
Great
Cool
Cool way for color correction and enhancement. Similarly, please tell us how to use gradient files ? I tried loading a .grd file , it gives 'File not recognized error'. I used freely gradient available file from internet.
Hello, .grd files are not supported
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor Oh, my bad, please let me know what files/ extensions are supported?
www.videosoftdev.com/video-editor-doc/supported-formats-and-codecs
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor Thank you, well, my query is with respect to color gradients, so in gradient settings we can load and save gradient settings as .grd files, right? But as I tried to load 3rd-party .grd files it gave error 'File not recognized error'. Hope I am able to explain the problem clearly this time. 😀
Why there's a size limit in VSDC Pro for videos? Is there any possibility to get to the size for example 8000x1200?
Hello, this is currently not possible. In future updates, we will increase the export resolution, but the maximum is 5760x4320px
Hey team, I have a problem with the glitch effect it only shows the custom preset and no others. I couldn't follow the tutorial video for glitch because I don't have that preset. I am also a pro user how can I get this resolved?
Hello, please go to the template window and find the Glitch effect, then expand its menu prnt.sc/26c1ler
permission to save your video is it ok?
How would one go about importing custom luts, downloaded a pack of 30 cinematic luts but have no idea how to get them into VSDC lol, they are for davinci resolve, would they work in VSDC?
The editor supports some third party LUTs. They can be added through the properties window: prnt.sc/PgPjGxmw1RYY
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor Thank you, got it sorted 😀
I rarely ever use the resource window tab, this should be moved into the Basic Effects tab of each clip and also a shortcut made in the Video Effects tabs\menus
You can customize windows however you want
czcams.com/video/SofehBrGBGQ/video.html
can you use this to isolate one thing in a video. Say there are two items both yellow and if you use a lut it will change the colors of all the yellows. Is it possible to change one thing and not everything.
Hello,
By using LUT, you can highlight all the necessary points that are located within a specific color space and transfer them to another space, thereby changing their color. Additionally, you can utilize the Lift, Gamma, and Gain Color Wheels. We have provided instructions on how to use them here: www.videosoftdev.com/how-to-use-lift-gamma-gain-in-vsdc.
If you require any further information, feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com.

Is this feature available for unpaid version of VSDC ?
Hi! Great question, thank you. With the free version, you can import 3rd-party LUTs, edit them, create LUTs from scratch, and apply them to your videos within VSDC. The only paid feature is exporting your custom LUTs (in case you want to use them in other photo or video editors)
That's a beauty isn't it?
You can do just about anything with LUTS in the free version!
A gift to be thankful for!!!
Why can't I access prime editor on my vsdc 8?
Hello, could you please specify the problem? What kind of error do you see?
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor No error. I did manage to open the LUT editor window, however, there is no prime editor. I use free version btw.
I'm sure I can't be the only person who wants to know this and I can't find it anywhere. How do I delete LUTs that I've downloaded/imported and don't want to keep?
Hello, please consult this tutorial www.videosoftdev.com/how-to-create-luts
Hello VSDC, would you make a video about birthday video ideas ?
First comment
but the whole video color is removed this is good..
