Congratulations guys! I also won the DV-2024 and already completed and submitted the DS-260 for me and my family, but Im still waiting for the interview appointment letter. I have 2 questions for you guys:
1. How long does it take for the appointment letter email to come?
2. Did the official (counsel) who interviewed you asked you and reviewed any of your documents you brought to the interview?
Mine took 9 months after filling the ds260 to get a reply and interview date

3. Were you asked for your marriage certificate?
1. We got married after the results were out
2. Yes, my partner and I filled different Ds260 with the same case number, but he filled as beneficiary and I filled as a principal applicant
3. Yes you need to provide the court wedding certificate

You look for your host by yourself, and where you will stay, will depend on the location of your host

Hey am happy for u. I need d clarification of getting married in China but u are not your home country. Meaning u can get a married out of your country? Am asking bcos some people say married certificate from your embassy is not allowed. They say u must go to your home country nd do d married. Is it true ?
I don’t know about that, but we got married at our embassy and still passed the interview, because your embassy is still your country.
You should try to ask your embassy if they celebrate weddings .

We only brought them with us at the interview

Because you applied as a single during initial application ,did you write to Kentucky counsellor center informing them of your new status as a married before filling of ds260
No I didn’t inform them, I only filled me Ds260 as married

Yes you have to ask someone who’s here their address and if they are willing to receive you. You can’t pick a random address

The place you stay will depend on your host’s address, you have to look for your host by yourself

I sent someone who was in my country to apply for me, I gave them my ID and they applied for me
My full name is Naveed only one in the passport, my last name is not there, but DS260 form was an option to mention the last name, then I have written Naveed Naveed and my age is different in the certificate and it is different in the passport. Because I have reduced the age one month the age is reduced in my passport it is issue or not?
My friend play the dv lottery for me but instead of him put hight school no degree he put hight school degree if i win can i change it too work experience because i have work experience for 6 years .

What all documents you took along for interview
I guess I have a situation like yours I applied for dv lottery and put my status as married. But sincerely my marriage wasn’t legal. So after winning we got married and got a certificate but with the current dates. Like it’s date shows that we got married after results were back. Should I use those current dates when filling the ds 260?? Won’t it affect me in any way??
Yes use the date on the certificate, in case they ask you why you mentioned married when applying, just explain that you were married before but not legally

I added him when filling the DS260
How long did it take you, after you won the lottery who many minths did it take to get your interview date
I checked my results in may 2021, submitted Ds260 in April 2022, and had interview in September 2022

In my application I said that I have a bachelors degree. But in reality I am done with school just waiting for graduation and the transcript but January 2025. What should I do when filling the ds 260??? Should I put my highest level of education as high school certificate since I have the transcript with me?? Won’t it affect me to get an interview date and also the visa since it will seem like I am lying??
You can say you have a bachelor degree, but you should have your bachelor’s degree certificate by the time you go to your interview
