Your rig looks great with those lights.. just needs some wider meats on those killer rims to protect them from damage. They wouldn't last on the roads in the northeast like that. If you have smooth roads and no snow well I guess you can get away with it. The fogs were a good idea. I'm gonna do some rock lights next !

Just FYI, the wiring and fuse boxes on 99-02s are totally different from the 03-07s. The 03-07s are simple plug and play like this video shows, but on the 99-02s, the fog lights are controlled by the body control module. So installing fog lights using the factory switch on 99-02s require programming the body control module before they will work.

I just finished rewiring my bumper lights from half DRL/half parking/turn to both bulbs being park/turn but wired to the DRL circuit so they come on when the original DRL's came on. I also did the 4 on High mod a few years ago. With that mod the DRL's stay on with the headlights and the low beams stay on with the high beams. Thanks again.

Hey thanks, your video hit the mark for me. I have an 03 std cab, so I found a Avalanche bumper with factory fog lights and an extra 'bottom of the bumper' air deflector. But I also don't have the fog light factory harness. I found a pre-wired fog light harness with a loom covering, essentially "plug and play" for Silverado on Amazon..and I had a fog light button that lit up a dash indicator when pushed...there was a 15amp fuse next to where I discovered the empty relay spot. You supplied the missing info about where the power wire went into the relay....but then I had a question.....why did you replace the fog light OEM switch with the other with two buttons?

Most of the time the headlight led's have the fans on them! I swapped out my headlight bulbs for a set of "Firehawk" led's & they are sweet! I just cut a hole in the back of the rubber dust caps for the fans and no water even makes it close inside my fender wells. I have a bigger set of dust caps for more air circulation but the stock ones are doing fine! I have those Auxbeam led's in my tail lights & turn signals with resistors on the turn signals only & they all are excellent 👍🏾 2005 Trailblazer. Everything is led's except the front turn signals and dash lights. You can see my rear license plate a mile away 😁 Love led's 🥰

Split loom is the proper covering for automotive wiring. The loom functions to protect wires from abrasion and to keep wires together for routing.
That stuff you ran the wires through means you have to cut into it or slip it off from one end to access the wires.
Any good home or professional mechanic always installs with the knowledge that EVENTUALLY SOMEONE will have to access that area again. Don't make it harder on them. 5 minutes of your time today saves HOURS of your time in the future.

Wow, every other video says you have to have the body module reflashed if the vehicle didnt come with fog lights. Did you? Also what year is your truck? Dont know if the 2003 switch will work as some people say yes, some say no, because the electrical system components were changec in 2003.. Hope you see this and I get a reply, thanks.

@@NaztyNate I am about to do this to my 03.. OEM without fogs, and added Avalanche bumper from 05, and I'm wondering about this re-flash for fog lights to work. Guess I'll try it and see.

All of the 99-07 classics have the connectors on the harness already. they hide them up in the frame. all you need is the OEM switch, the fog light relay and the lights. No need to make a harness if you are using OEM fog lights.
