i-D visited Schiaparelli’s pop-up at Dover Street Market in London to break down the process behind 5 of those iconic looks with the brand’s Artistic Director, Daniel Roseberry.

❤All of 'the looks' stunning, and, yes, iconic! Schiaparelli, such an artist, an inspiration.
I wonder, though, if Daniel Roseberry has dreams of couture while he's working on ideas for upcoming shows, and if he'd allow those dreams to shape some of his creations?
The dream was such a trove of source material for the Surrealists, and still is, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of Elsa's couture, art for the body, came from her own dreams.

Elsa Schiaparelli, the founder of the maison, was born in Rome and her name is pronounced "skiaparelli". In Italian, C+H followed by I or E sounds like a hard c.
