I’d say take it on but it’s also kind of a biohazard although a lot of the times if the bloods are dried most of the stuff that could be harmful is gone so really just depends on if you’re comfortable with it or not
You can go and see my comment that I left. I agree with you. This was not in my original comment idea, but I had put that maybe the customer should give them time for the drying process to dry out even more but powdering it would be so much better. That’s such a great idea!💡
If the blood can't be used on it's own you can coat a fabric in it and let it dry to use that. The fabric needs to be color that won't alter the color of the blood. If you can't use that paper could work as well. This is if you want to do it. Just tell them to do this an let it completely dry before sending it.
Yeah! Or like a piece of cotton blood-stained instead of just straight up blood clots which I imagine would get messy (and smelly bc sanding creates heat) in the sanding process
@@Nikolotl.-_-.4444it's not really about it spilling, it's about the risk of mold. Mold can grow anywhere where there's water, especially with natural materials, so that's why anything you want to put into the ring needs to be 100% dry (at least I assume that's why)
What are you going to do, lick it? Scrub it into an open wound? Clearly you haven't had enough training, since you don't even know how it's transmitted.
I would suggest that they use a strip of fabric, saturate or stain it with their blood. Let that dry and set. Then send it out to be used in a ring, while it is still on whatever fabric for y’all’s ease and safety. They could snip a tiny bit of a special garment they wore. Like the outfit worn on a first date or something like that.
Do it with gloves and a respirator to avoid contamination then disinfect everything it touched. Blood rings are extremely special and raw so I like them myself while still acknowledging the biohazard risks.
If I were you, I would say yes. It’s really sweet and loving from him. Imagine you were the girl wearing that ring, and if he’s ever away, you could just look at that ring remembering that a special part of him is in that ring, and he’s practically still with you.❤
My thoughts: I'm working from the viewpoint of "you can do it if you want but don't let the client do it without knowing the risks first. " 1. Tell client the risks of making a blood ring and provide sources 2. tell client that it's best if a medical expert who knows how to work with blood is involved in the making of this ring and that you wouldn't recommend it otherwise 3. Provide alternatives that are safe with the same symbolic meaning in the case the blood is not the best idea. 4. Tell the client that if they still want a blood ring, recommend companies that specialize in blood rings as they know what they're doing with it and not you and tell them that if they still want it from you who hasn't made a blood ring before, stress again that an expert needs to be involved and instruct me on how to properly do it. 5. Tell them you look forward to their consideration and response.
And bill them for the costs of biohazard handling and the expert's fees. Charge 10x or more what you are charged for those costs as your health is involved. They'll change their mind once they find out the ring will cost more than $30,000. Unless it's an unhinged billionaire.
During the Victorian times, people would put hair of their loved ones in rings, typically they are often known as mourning rings and commonly used during a death of said person whose hair was in said ring. There are also stories about people keeping hair in their lockets, such as mothers who kept their first born hairs or their child’s first haircut. So, in my opinion, I do not think it’s weird. There’s something about loving a person soo much, you want to connect with them and show them to what extent. I adore my bf, my soul adores his soul. Sometimes a simple diamond or metal ring doesn’t help convey the amount of love you have for someone. A ring that can be recreated and be worn on the hands of many. With a blood ring or hair ring, you would know that it is unique and truly one of a kind, especially with the intention while it is being created. I personally don’t want a wedding ring if I ever get married, I have tiny fingers and am busy with my hands a lot. I always told myself I’d wear my ring around my neck, in a necklace so it’s safe and closer to my heart and soul. But the more I thought about years later, I honestly just want a vintage heart shaped locket, so I told my bf if he ever plans to one day marry me or get me a promise ring or make a vow to me, to get me a locket, because I’d be able to put his photo and have a piece of him with me, no matter what happens. It is your company and choice but if you do take this job on, make sure to do your research and be very open and communicative with this customer so no stone is left unturned and there’s no miscommunication or confusion on both ends.

Honestly I agree with the other people my first thought was the potential biohazard risk but if all you're worried about is how dry it is blood dries very quickly so even if there is a little moisture left all you have to do is leave it exposed for maybe a few minutes and it should be fine.
Cuts being exposed to blood is only a risk of infection if the blood is infected with something and a lot do the major infections we worry about, like HIV, can’t live outside of the body. Wearing gloves would provide adequate protection.
Blood that has been dehydrated for several days is pretty inhospitable to bacteria and viruses. Even HIV can only live a few minutes on its own outside a human. If it's dehydrated fully and has spent a few days in the mail, still dry and not at human body temps, is basically impossible to catch anything from it even if you inject it straight into yourself let alone barely getting some of it on your paper cut. Just wear gloves and a face mask and you'll be fine.
I believe dried blood would not pose a health risk (but look it up). If it was wet, it would be a biohazard. Even so, particulates could get anywhere and youd need PPE, gloves, a mask worn properly and eye coverage that seals to your face. Maybe it would work if you mixed the blood in resin and has little bits like those crystals and would be less of a hazard? Im not sure, I'd honestly say you'd need to do research to see at what point is the blood not a biohazard. And since blood goes through a lot of different chemical reactions in the body, and out, as it dries, reacts to different materials... It might not turn out as expected, it typically turns brown over time and it would be extremely surprising if it kept a red color.
as someone obsessed with vampires, I think the idea is pretty cool!! I would love to see what the ring would look like when finished, seeing the process is very interesting too honestly I also understand that it can be difficult to make, but if it's just minor inconveniences/risks why not give it a try haha
I think it would be a cold idea, I know that if you leave blood out for awhile it will dry up. Maybe make it the sender’s responsibility to send the blood already dry and take extra precautions when handling it
Honestly while I know it is a biohazard if you were to work with gloves and keep your hands clean at all times I think it could help for future tasks. I think it’s definitely up to you if you want to do this.
It’s ultimately up to them, oh well, but I’m genuinely curious what future tasks this would help with? Bc one could dry like a red gel ink on glass for a similar effect without the biohazard involved
Absolutely no way for it to be hygienic. The only way would be if they constructed a hermetically sealed box, with sealed glove attachments to work from. Dry blood is just as pathogenic as wet. The sanding process would catapult dry blood dust all over the studio. Another option would be to make custom liquid vials, that could be inlayed within the bevel without contact. Maybe something flexible, similar to those freeze pop tubes? lol
I love how the conversation is abt it being difficult to dry blood and im just here like "Why are u considering actually taking some ones blood and making it into a ring!?"
I would do it. There’s another jeweler who does blood jewelry and he wears gloves and makes sure to not get the blood in contact with any open wound. You never know if someone has a blood carried disease. If you do it, just take precautions, but it’s a super cool idea and I hope to get one made some day
Yeah, that’s the main thing- you need to be absolutely sure you are 100% sterilizing everything after making something if you use blood for the same reason. It can be a liability issue otherwise, so if oc decides to ever go down this path, they just need to remember that every possible precaution needs to be taken!
Doesn’t she do hair. I think hair is weird in a way. So this idea doesn’t bother me. Id wear googles and a respirator tho, even tho if it was contaminated it’s probably safe at that point
I think it's really romantic ❤ It has a long history just like hair in jewelery. Just make sure you wear gloves and a mask to not breathe in anything. Then it shouldn't be a Problem.
@@iheartundertaleYes, extremely. Giving someone your blood is literally giving them a piece of you, which shows a very deep level of trust and respect for that person.
I would have them at least prove that their blood is 100℅ dried before accepting the order, but i think its a wonderful idea. If you dont want to take the order however, you could redirect them to a jewlery service that specializes in blood jewlery!
Oh guys - what are you thinking? It's just a few droplets of blood. I am pretty sure, the customer didn't even check if the stars align when he took the blood. And the business he is tasking surely doesn't have the slightest clue about blood magic - if the video is any indication. If they get 1 or 2% extra damage out of that arrangement they can count themselves lucky.
I think that if you clarify in detail how to dry the blood out and ship it so that you dont get mailed a bloody tissue or a vial of blood (yummy 🤮), you could probably make it work. I would make sure to wear gloves during the whole process as blood borne pathogens are a thing that people tend to forget about so gloves and maybe a mask since you want *dust* in case you breathe in some lovely blood dust. Once it's sealed under the resin or whatever you use to make the rings, it would be safe at that point. It would be weird, but safe
@@PoorLittleRhubarbLovesMooing I mean, it would be sort of sweet if it was your own blood or the blood of someone you were close to, and both of you were okay with it! It's just whether or not it can be made Safe and not become potentially contaminated.

If you do make a blood ring, PLEASE include it in a video 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Do it, it would make one hell of a story "have I ever told you kids how Grammy made the illusive blood ring?"
Yes its cute 😊
It a little weird but it like giving DNA or your blue prints to your love one or a hand print but for your whole body
Doesn’t she do hair. I think hair is weird in a way. So this idea doesn’t bother me. Id wear googles and a respirator tho, even tho if it was contaminated it’s probably safe at that point
@@Wtfinc I think it a little weird to do hair too but l can see why someone would do it
I think it's really romantic ❤ It has a long history just like hair in jewelery. Just make sure you wear gloves and a mask to not breathe in anything. Then it shouldn't be a Problem.
yep!!
ROMANTIC ☠️ ???
@@iheartundertaleYes, extremely. Giving someone your blood is literally giving them a piece of you, which shows a very deep level of trust and respect for that person.
@@m3owm3ow. oh naw ur crazy 💀💀
@iheartundertale I never said that was my personal opinion, buddy 💀
Yeah do it I wanna see what it looks like
I think i love the idea
I would have them at least prove that their blood is 100℅ dried before accepting the order, but i think its a wonderful idea. If you dont want to take the order however, you could redirect them to a jewlery service that specializes in blood jewlery!
Is that... A thing?😟
@veraliberman3673 it is a thing :)
"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD"
TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES
TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES
TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES
TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES
Wtf
You should do it 💯
Yess!!!!
There's a fine line between romantic and crazy.. 😂
If you can't handle a little blood, you can't handle life.
Blood could be tricky to put into a ring... perhaps use bloodstones instead? More symbolic, but a but safer for all parties
What they want just do it ❤
Yes take it
HELL NO, THAT'S GODDAMN BLOOD MAGIC BRO😭
Mans gonna get that +10% damage -5 hp
@@Brick20193don't forget the +2% lifesteal
Oh guys - what are you thinking? It's just a few droplets of blood. I am pretty sure, the customer didn't even check if the stars align when he took the blood.
And the business he is tasking surely doesn't have the slightest clue about blood magic - if the video is any indication.
If they get 1 or 2% extra damage out of that arrangement they can count themselves lucky.
@@robertnett9793 you got me in the first half lol
I think that if you clarify in detail how to dry the blood out and ship it so that you dont get mailed a bloody tissue or a vial of blood (yummy 🤮), you could probably make it work.
I would make sure to wear gloves during the whole process as blood borne pathogens are a thing that people tend to forget about so gloves and maybe a mask since you want *dust* in case you breathe in some lovely blood dust.
Once it's sealed under the resin or whatever you use to make the rings, it would be safe at that point. It would be weird, but safe
Yes do it!!
'the client said that the eing is for his gf'💀💀💀💀
As long as it's safe? It sounds SICK AS HELL....
whos blood you gonna use
sounds more nauseating than sick though honestly
Sick as in cool or sick as in ew disgusting?
@@DiscoRaptorpaw sick as in Cool!!
@@PoorLittleRhubarbLovesMooing I mean, it would be sort of sweet if it was your own blood or the blood of someone you were close to, and both of you were okay with it! It's just whether or not it can be made Safe and not become potentially contaminated.
I agree, I think it's cool. Sounds like something a vampire would do
I think it's sweet. Do it. If you were to want to go for something special like this for a special someone, you be happy if they were to do it for you.
If it is really important then yes it is special to them
I mean it could be different and fun you never know 😂
