- Did the Square Body C20 Service Truck Survive Hot Rod Power Tour 2023? Atlanta, Columbia, Rockingham, Charlotte, and Bristol were all part of the route. Lots of miles and new friends, but fortunately, only a few minor issues. Loose header bolts and a blown high pressure power steering line were the only real issues. The truck road and drove great, and got a solid 11-12 MPG. Can't wait to do it again!

Cool vids. Idk if anyone has mentioned it but manifold gaskets is the secret to never having a header leak header bolts loosening. There's 3 things I do if using headers. I hit them with a flat file for a good seal, use manifold gaskets and 3rd is optional because I will cut the metal flange so it makes for 3 separate clamped areas. The front header tube, the two middle tubes and the last header tube to the head. I've never had a header leak since I started doing this sequence for probably 20 years now.
Thanks for the tip. Think imma just go open heads from here on out. Complete Exhaust Delete 😎
Bro, you drove right past my house. Wish I could have made it to Power Tour this year. I love the old truck. Just found your channel. I've been binge watching every since. Keep up the good work!!!
I appreciate the support. Power Tour was a blast. Don’t know if the schedule will work out for me this year or not. 👍
How this thing didn’t melt a piston nor rotate itself apart by being 80grams shy is how you party🎉🤠
Purred like a Kitten 😎
Excellent video!! I hope to do HRPT with my son in our crappy 68 el Camino soon
It’s a great time 👍
Handled the mountains nice
It rides and drives surprisingly well. 😎
Bro! This shirt just tickled me! I check the same box!! 12:29
My official Squarebody shirt 🤓
Good times. 👊
Could have used some cup holders 🤓
Can’t wait to watch it while I’m at work tomorrow 😂 just stopping by early! Gotta go to bed
You’d make a decent government worker 😂
@@freedomworx 😂 on my lunch hour I should have added
Whatever you say 👀😂
JB Weld should of sponsored you for showcasing their product holding your crank in your engine!😯😎👍
Looks like you guys had fun, I'll have to put this run on my bucket list.
They’ve been getting a lot of free publicity. 😂
I would love to find a old work truck like yours to work out of here In Oklahoma 🎉🎉🎉
This truck came from Oklahoma 😉
That looked like a fun run glad she held up for ya, Often wondered what the JB stands for in JBweld?
Exactly 😂
@@freedomworx Just Barely weld
I won’t be able to sleep until I know 🤦🏻♂️
Junk bond? love this truck. Looks like a fun trip.
first thumb is the best thumb!
I’ve got 2 thumbs. Not sure which one I consider to be the first…👀
Step up to Sick Week!
I've done Sick Week. Plan to do it again next year. Doing Sick 66 in October, but it'll have that 12 Valve in it by then. 😎
Love your budget blower motor build video!!! What brand of service body on your truck? I'm hoping its. Knapheide,!! I build. Work trucks for them
It’s a Stahl body. I need that Knapheide sponsorship. I’m trying to go fast and an Aluminum box would be much lighter 😎
I’m gonna be doing power tour next year maybe, what was your average cost or rounded up to? So I can have a reference to save up to
Lots of variables involved. Like the price of fuel, MPGs, and hotel costs depending on the locations. But I’d say $2k is a decent ballpark figure.
Help..... whit size wheel 20 x ?.... and what back space.... what size tire.... thanks brother, love the truck.... mine is a 79 with a genV 454
20x9 with 4.5” BS. 275/40R20. But the rear actually needed another 3/4” of BS to fit the service bed. So I put a 245 on the rear.
Add a fuel return line and your vapor lock should go away... at least that is what I've been told.
I think I'll just delete the SBC and install this 12V Cummins I have...expensive vapor lock solution 😂
