It's so funny how quick will try to find a pokemon that incorporates as many of the colors of the flag into it, and chilln gets a flag that's almost entirely blue and white with a small bit of red and is like "oh blaziken works" 😂
idk why it bugs me haha. quick actually tries to adhere to the challenge, and chilln always does the bare minimum lol

It’s obvious that Chilln thought that if a Pokémon had any single color matching the flag, he would have to grab it. They should’ve just made sure they both were on the same page before starting.
I agree he should have caught pokemon with a majority of the colors on the flag though.

For real, I laughed so hard about Drednaws "green" shell but that full red Blaziken for a blue/white dominant flag with a little red is really weak.
The percentages of the colors were pretty well equal...Drednaw (blue/yellow) makes up approximately 50% of the Tanzanian flag while Blaziken (red/white) makes up approximately 50% of the Diego Garcian flag. I will admit, though, that the color spread is a little off (a mostly white/little red would've worked better...perhaps Alcremie), but it's not horribly different than the Drednaw.

If Drednaw (blue/yellow) is applicable for Tanzania (approximately 50% of the flag is a combination of blue and yellow), the argument could be made for Blaziken (red/white) to apply to the flag of Diego Garcia (approximately 50% of the flag is a combination of white and red)...except that something more white than red would fit better (like Alcremie).
I think Chillings Interpretation of this challenge is a bit lacking. Taking any pokemon just because it matches half the colors on a flag is a bit weak no? Totally defeates the specific challenge.

Chilln dropped the ball. None of his pokemon looked like the flag. He just gave up instantly. A blue flag turns into blaziken? How?
Well his archeops was pretty accurate
In all fairness he didn’t hunt down good Pokemon, he still took bad Pokemon like the cinccino and krabby

Nowhere does the rules (as given) state that a Pokémon has to resemble the flag (with the example flag, it could've been something mostly blue, mostly white, a combination thereof, or (due to the sun) something sun-related)...as long as it can be justified.
Hell, even though Cinccino is mostly gray (with about as much white), a strong argument can be made for it to be a valid catch...chinchillas (which are the basis for Minccino/Cinccino) were historically found wild in the Andes of South America in parts of Bolovia, Chile...and Peru (though they're currently only found wild in Chile).

My favorite part of these videos is actually the team building, not the fight… so it is kind of a let that that Chillin really didn’t try super hard on the challenge.

I get it isnt that serious...but the lack of even giving the tiniest bit of an effort in matching flag colors by Chillin is triggering. The Blaze Chicken really annoyed me.

It ain't that big a deal, but yes it is a little upsetting😂 At some point it is the same as if they just rolled a colour🤷♂️ still watching it, still loving it, but feels a little.. meh
It doesn't necessarily have to match the colors...if you remember the example (Argentina...three equal alternating horizontal bands, two blue and one white, with a sun motif in the center), Jellicent (blue/white, color match) and Solrock (sun-related) were both shown as "valid". As long as a strong argument can be made for it, it's all up to interpretation.
As it stands, Blaziken (red/white) fits the Diego Garcia flag (blue/white/red) only slightly less well than the Drednaw (blue/yellow) matches the flag of Tanzania (blue/green/black/yellow)...yes, the former lends itself more towards Water types, but the color percentages are roughly equal; if Blaziken goes, Drednaw should also be kicked to the curb.

First of all, he was within the rules with all his choices (as long as there was a collie in the flag matching the Pokémon it’s fair, it literally states this in the rules at the beginning)

@@goofyrat2938, the way I'm looking at it, both of those "questionable" calls are fairly even...both flags share approximately 50% of the colors on the flag. The only minor issue is the majority coloration...but GG's explanation at the start kind of allowed the Blaziken (as the options given for the Argentinian flag were Jellicent (which fits the colors) and Solrock (due to the sun motif)) because it shares the red and white (despite the color majority being blue/white, there *is* red, due to the history of the atoll) of the flag.
Now, I do give that GG is trying...but that doesn't stop the fact that he has screwed it up really badly early in the challenges (he's messed it up in past color-based challenges) and most problems can be quickly sorted with a quick description look-up (which they're not against as they've each done so in many other challenges...checking BST, generation, and the like).

Blaziken didn’t fit at all in that flag. There was barely any red, you can’t just pick one of the three colours and run with it - that’s not the challenge. It’s not a minor issue if it’s bending the rules entirely, and it’s also definitely way less than 50% for Chillin 💀.It also didn’t relate at all to the flag so there was nothing that could’ve justified that. Plus, Chillin seems to have a history of not following the rules properly.
GG’s not great with colours, but he can’t exactly change that. What I can suggest is that maybe getting Twitch chat to vote on whether or not the colours match the theme. It would be a great way to fix the issue since they’re already streaming.

Chilln doesn't respect the essence of any challenge, especially this one. The fact that he chooses a color that represents 1/3 of the flag is weak and when that Archeops disappeared and that there's another replacement in front of him yet he chose to find another Archeops is for me, cheating.

I love sigilyph so I was sad for two reasons when he purposefully skipped it for a mon that ran.
Not going to lie, this is the first video i didnt watch through to the end after years of watching both of you. Love Chillin but oh my days, he was so far off the mark in this one. Didnt even try to at least slightly do the challenge and incorporate multiple colours. Full credit to Quick for really following the outlaid challenge and going for as many matching colours as possible.

It's an interesting place. Near India, population under 5k, bought by the British from Mauritius in the 60s and used as a military base. Then the USA moved military personnel there in agreement with the British and the native population was moved elsewhere.
The military base is still there and Mauritius are claiming Diego Garcia as theirs. I don't think it qualifies as a country as it's a British overseas territory.
@@zHawkC, that's really the problem with "overseas territories"...unless you've got a group there to enforce it, the populace is going to be doing their own thing. Hell, the Falkland Islands are often considered their own country, yet are still also considered a "British overseas territory". That said, Mauritius was originally a British protectorate, too, so it's all swings and roundabouts. For that matter, Australia makes this a little weird...it was originally a British territory, gained its independence (thereby making it a sovereign country), but is still ruled over by the British monarch.
We get another one a little later in the video with Wallis and Futuna (France)...but that's a little different, in that it's not a French overseas territory any more (1961-2003, it was termed territoire d'outre-mer ("overseas territory") or TOM), but a French overseas collective ("collectivité d-outre-mer" or COM).

I love learning about the tiniest islands in the world. When I go onto google maps I get a bittersweet feeling looking at beautiful places in the middle of nowhere. I really want to go and spend time there but I'm aware of the problems/limitations living somewhere like that.
@@zHawkC, I wonder if it has to do with the governance of the island, honestly. I could see a "territory" as an area that is more strictly looked after by the "parent" country, while a "collective" may be able to call upon aid from the "parent," but has a greater level of autonomy (likely due to distance from the "parent"...France to Wallis and Futuna is likely much further than from the UK to Diego Garcia (which, as a militarized atoll, should not need much in the way of aid anyway)).
Obviously, this is just speculation, but speculation based on geopolitics and logic (which often runs counter to politics, but meh).
