@Ana Angela @@umarabdullah5510 Ignore Umar, sister. You should actually beware of those who oppose Tasawwuf. Beware of neo Salafis and Wahhabis. Beware of those who says Quran is enough, I don’t need ijtihad and mujtahids. Beware of those who curse companions of the Prophet (pbuh). Beware of those who oppose visiting of graves and tawassul. Beware of those who call every innovation bid’a. Follow those who follow traditional scholars of Islam. Follow either one of the 4 madhabs (Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki, Hanbali) within fiqh and one of the 2 schols of aqeedah (Maturidi, Ashari). This is Ahlu Sunnah. Early Muslims memorized the Quran from beginning to end and recited it perfectly during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. No paper was needed, only a heart blessed with the ability to hold the WORD OF GOD. They also memorized his sayings (the Hadith) and later developed a block chain authentication process (Sanad) when recording them into book form.

Assalamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh!!! I am an American Muslim Revert and I loved this lecture/seminar. I said my Shahada about 1.5 years ago after probably 2-3 years of learning as much as I could about Islam, Sharia law, etc. And, the bulk of my learning has been through lectures, on-line sources, and verification of my learning through Muslim friends (and their asking of their Imam's when I had a difficult question. I specifically loved the discussion about the Hijab. As a person that grew up in a non religious home, I had to figure out how to cover myself. And, my form of covering myself is unique to me because I did not grow up in a Muslim household. Actually, I grew up in a home with a lack of religion. That is just one part of this lecture I loved. Many other topics were also so extrememly well presented, presented with ease and certainty, and the discussion very pertinent to our world today. Jazak Allah Khairan my brother Dr./Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. May Allah (SWT) grant you Jannahtul Firdaus for your persistent endeavors for him, Ameen (Astaghfirullah...)!!!

Dr. Hamza Jusuf provides an introduction to that manual. It is an especially good read even for a well practiced, dedicated Muslim; a manual that should be kept and referred to from time to time (in my opinion). Sheikh Jusuf is very intelligent. His knowledge is deep, and and he has a firm gentleness about him. I am actually glad you wrote because I have not heard his lectures of recent and I do hope to see more of his work in days and years to come (and Allah SWT knows our time here the best). May the Will of God be with those who worship him and reflect his benevolence, grace and wisdom... Further, in the world we live in there are many determining reasons that create the world as we know it, coerced or natural.... Both are The Will, an instructed Will of grace (whether one accedes or not it) and a determined Will of truth; while benevolence is apriori, grace is a choice we make and truth is the reality that subdues all wills to a common reality or Will (a sum of wills, laws and choices).... Another quote, is that of John Whiteside / also known as Jack Parsons, maybe Jeykl and Hyde (5): 'The mainspring of an individual is his creative will. This will is the sum of his tendencies, his destiny, his inner truth. It is one with the force that makes the birds sing and flowers bloom; as inevitable as gravity, as implicit as a bowel movement, it informs alike atoms and men and suns.
To the man who knows this Will, there is no why or why not, no can or cannot; he is!
There is no known force that can turn an apple into an alley cat; there is no known force that can turn a man from his Will. This is the triumph of genius; that, surviving the centuries, enlightens the world.
This force burns in every man.[180]' (1)
And as George Pendle sees it: 'Both rocketry and magic were rebellions against the very limits of human existence; in striving for one challenge he could not help but strive for the other.' (2)
Or the possibility remains that to stop a rocket (glass wall/ breakthrough technology) you need to annihilate it with the tyranny of 'magic' or overwhelming coercion!!! (3)
However Viktor E. Frankl sees hope even in a Hitler's gas chambers: Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. (Existential psychology is very important in concentration camps). Victor Frankl survived to teach us that.
    (1), (2) : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Parsons_(rocket_engineer)#Religious_beliefs
(3): In Physics, also called pair annihilation: the process in which a particle and antiparticle unite, annihilate each other, and produce one or more photons.Compare positronium. Also, the conversion of rest mass into energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation.

Hijabs dawah brought me to Islam. I pray Allah guides him. So many dawah figures are being influenced by their ego. May Allah SWT protect us. It's a collective effort to guard against this kind of thing online.
I love Hijab and want for him what I want for myself. Do I advise him to avoid ego and fitnah. And I advise all of us to fear Allah SWT more than we fear losing face online. All of the comments attacking Hijab also consider your approach.

Quran did not come in 7 languages. There is only one Quran with 7 variances or dialect of the pronunciation. The message is still preserved. The Quran Muslims use today goes back to prophet Muhammad pbuh.

You can't simply argue for the existence of probablistic proof without having the existence or non existence of some event hence probability in its own right can't be studied rationally without the existence of universal truth , one known example is the case of physical constants versus human-derived constants !

The deen will not go away if Sanad goes because the Quran tells you to reflect on it
And if it’s truth to you in its stories and lessons then you accept it
If you find it wrong then to you be your way and me mine .
Quran never asked through sanad is it true
It asked you to simply reflect on its truth.

This is what Sheikh Imran Hosien also talk about. The methodology to judge the Hadith using the Quran, instead of Isnad. The Qur'an is protected by Allah (15:9). Did Allah say We protect the Quran, Sahih Bukhari and Muslim? Ask University al-Azhar, because this is their methodology.
