Art Arti a Mujadid is someone who renews the faith or a “reviver”
In Kitaab al-Mulaahim by Abu Dawood, it says that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “At the beginning of every century Allah will send to this ummah someone who will renew its religious understanding”
Peacetoself hmm that is interesting. However as much as i love and respect Hamza Yusuf, and have even prayed to meet him someday, i dont know if thats true. At the same time, i really dont know if we really have a mujahid right now

at 18:59 I liked the walking sidewalk illustration ... i recommend "Human Nature in its Fourfold State" written by Thomas Boston. It's only £0.77 on the Kindle edition but well worth a read.It's the Christian view of man along the same lines as this teaching video.

When Shiekh Hamza spoke about the 100 parts of Allah's mercy, 40:10, he didn't mention the fact that people who shouldn't take this as an excuse to be fooled, and then do what they like or postpone and procrastinate repentance. Am i wrong?
But in the hadith itself, the prophet said that, without adding such warning. Which indicates that it is not necessary. The warnings are all over the Quran and Hadiths, so whoever wants to be fooled, will be fooled.

He is from my country. I don't know how his presence could make you laugh. He is and has always been a muslim. He is Dr. Sulayman Nyang from the Gambia - An African country is one of the smallest and people know each other that much. That aside.. how does his presence makes you laugh.. he is and has always been a muslim. Check for his presentation on Islam in Africa by Dr. Nyang. Don't think him a knot he is pretty smart even with your language.
What was the impetus behind these talks? It seems that the audience is mostly non-Muslims but the lessons are pretty advanced. I've seen a couple of these like this one.

How can one attain all this knowledge if one does not have the financial means to study at various instittions or go from place to place in search of knowlege like the way some people have done so of those who were given special favours have done so?
All of this is in Al-Quran and Ahadith. A person may learn this in the masajid or by personally meeting the ulama by the grace of Allah
Read loads of books on different subjects and take notes.

Xenja N from what I understand just because there is a drought or abundance in rain doesn’t necessitate God’s displeasure with or blessings towards a people. It isn’t a black or white type of thing. It may be a sign that if there is a drought that God may be displeased but it’s not a definite.
Well, I liken it to be like coaching. Sometimes 2 players in a team may actually have to go through more drills than others. Everyone else on the team may feel sorry for them, since it may seem that the coach dislikes them, but really, he doesn't. One of them comes late to practices, puts the team down by his laziness, doesn't seem to be serious at all so the only thing to wake him up is to give him harder drills, make him stay late for practices, make him run extra laps until he slaps out of it and wakes up. For the other one, the coach sees so much potential in him, that he wants to push him for greatness and become the next Michael Jordan therefore he also receives more drills, e.t.c. With catastrophes, it's the same. For one person, it's the only thing to wake him up. For the other one, it's an honor.
