- Take a tour of Norwegian Pearl in 2019. This Jewel-class ship was launched in 2006 and currently does various itineraries for Norwegian Cruise Line, including Northern Europe in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter.
Norwegian Cruise Line is known for Freestyle Dining and there is a lot of dining options aboard this cruise ship. Guests can dine in one of the two main dining rooms on board, one of the buffets, Le Bistro French restaurant, La Cucina Italian restaurant, Cagney's Steakhouse, Moderno Churrascaria, Teppanyaki, sushi and or the free noodle eatery called Lotus Garden.
There is also the free 24-hour O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar & Grill that serves food around the clock.

@@CruiseRadio No, unfortunately, my research was for clients. I'm a newer travel agent and was looking at the two ships departing NYC in July 2020. The Encore is the other one and it's a lot more money, of course, so I was checking out if the Pearl would be an OK option for a family with a 14 year old. I've been on Bliss, Encore's sister, so I already know that the Breakaway Plus class ships are obviously great options for families. I didn't know what Pearl was like and all the other videos out there are pretty dated. So thanks again for being current.
We were on this ship last week. Liked our cruise very much, they made a lot of improvements over the last 2 years. We always book a stateroom near O'Sheehan's.We are on the Pearl again this October--looking so forward to it!

I too will be on this ship on Nov 22, going as a Panama Canal cruise.
Sailed on the Pearl for the Panama Canal 14 night from San Diego to Tampa and really enjoyed everything about her. Booked for another 12 night in May from Miami to New York because we had such a lovely time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. Really enjoyed your video and subscribed so I could “visit” ships I’ve yet to travel on!

We really enjoyed all of the dining experiences on the Pearl. We had 5 specialty dining included on our 14 day. We added the 3 specialty dining package so that we could do specialty dining every other night, and alternate dining at the main dining rooms. This worked out well for us. The only one we did not use was Moderno, because we are not big meat eaters, and that is their main attraction. That said, for this upcoming cruise on the Pearl, we did book Moderno for their incredible salad bar, just to switch it up a bit. One other thing, on the PC cruise we dined twice at Tepanyaki. The first time we were a full table of 8. On the second night, it was just the two of us, so that was a bit of a let down, because there wasn’t a full table for cook to “play” to. Food, of course was still delicious!
I like your tours. You get to the point without a lot of filler! I just got off the Breakaway. My first cruise. I really liked the ship layout especially the Waterfront. I’d like to cruise the Getaway and Escape. The Pearl after it’s dry dock. Needs a referb for sure!

This ship and the carnival victory were both in the budget and I ended up going with the victory because of the renovations first off, secondly carnival is a cruise line that I have sooooo much fun on and the fact that it just looks nicer!

Going on a cruise on the ship in August
I go on the Norwegian Pearl every October for the KISS Kruise! They build a big stage on the lido deck towards the front were kiss plays an sail away acoustic guitar show! Queensryche is suppose to be one of the special guest on the 2020 KISS KRUISE.

Just was on this ship last week. I think you skipped the library, special photo room and card room. Hard to say as some changes/improvements have been made in the last couple of years during Covid pandemic. But this is a very, very nice tour that you did!

Scheduled to be on the Pearl in June of 2022 sailing from Boston to Bermuda. Looking forward to a smaller ship. I have no use for all the attractions on the LARGE ships.

I've read you need to pay for it but not sure if they're talking about the treatment (which I understand) or the actual use of the facilities. When we took Royal Car, it was free of charge to use the sauna and steamroom

rafael saldivar if its your first cruise ever, i say dont buy the dining package. You get excellent complimentary food. I say consider a dining package for a second cruise if u think its worth it. I’ve been on 6 cruises across 3 cruise lines & never found the need to but a dining package. You get plenty of delicious food.

Personally one of my favorite NCL ships I've been on so far. As far as the jewel class ships, I've also been on the Gem. I'm not sure how it was pre-refurbishment but it was sort of convoluted getting around with decks being blocked off and having to go up a deck and down a deck to get some place. The Pearl by comparison was much easier to navigate.

No. It's Oh-she-yenns. (At least it is with a Boston accent). We always book a stateroom near O'Sheehan's. Had breakfast there 7 mornings on last week's cruise!

Most ships medium to large sized have this now. You don't have to go to specialty restaurants (although most packages include at least one or two nights free in specialty restaurants.) Cruised on the Pearl last week and found the dining experience so much improved in the Summer Palace that we had dinner there 6 of 7 nights. Don't know how it will be once they are cruising at 100% capacity again--our cruise was at 50% passenger capacity.
