What a wonderful concept for a television show Doc Martin is. Martin Clunes is just marvelous and the show is so fabulous. Can't get enough of it. He deserves endless accolades for this show.

It was pretty informative and I've wanted to know his thoughts on the future of the show. He is just so happy about it's worldwide appeal. Just finished watching series 9 [2019 Nov] and actually cried at the end of the series. Love the talented Martin Clunes here in Texas since All At # 20 and Men Behaving Badly! Can't imagine Doc Martin smelling dirty socks from the laundry to see if he can get another wear out of them!! lol! Love that he loves animals, especially dogs and horses! Phillipa is a lucky woman!
I can't believe there are only two more episodes (watching on Acorn TV) and then it may be truly over. I am glad to hear that if it goes well, the powers that be may do another season, though that won't be aired until 2015 at least if it happens. I was in Port Isaac this past May-it was a wonderful place in itself, and even more so because I was able to see a bit of filming-not Martin. It was a rehearsal, but still exciting-we were far back. Season Seven, please! I will be going back to Cornwall this spring but I don't think I will get back to Port Isaac-I missed so many DM landmarks that I wish I could!

What you saw was a separate movie, not the series. The film was also called Doc Martin, but he did play a London doctor, who leaves London, because his wife cheated on him. He does end up staying on in Port Isacc, as their town doctor. He wasn't a vadcular surgeon in this movie.
