As a proud Alliance member been going 8 years strong now. I have to say I was really heartbroken at Varian's death it genuinely made me cry and it's hard for me to cry, but Blizzard done it again with this cinematic and as a musician the music really build that atmosphere of happiness/sadness a very emotional mix for me. For the Alliance and the Horde may there be peace in the future.
I cried with this cutscene. Blizzard did a great job with Anduin and Varian.
Anduinn = Varian + Arthas
I like the video, he starts off unsure, sad and confused. He drops to his knees as if mimicking his father in his last moments. Gets some words of encouragement for once from Genn. Though its really his vision of his father telling him, he needs to stand tall and lead his people, like a king has done in the past. He doesnt need to be Varian but he needs to be the king his people can look to with pride and safety. The music starts quiet and swells to deafening crescendo... and Anduin no longer looks to be the same, he has an expression of purpose and iron will now. His great holy power surging into his fathers sword.
All I could do not get misty eyed watching it. You know Anduin gonna fuck someone up now.
I was like "Hold it in" soooo hard lol.. Amazing cut scene!

I totally agree with Joe, just so you know, that most, if not all emotional scenes in movies, tv shows and games cause crying and tear jerking emotions are caused entirely by the music being played at the right time.

I am sure i would as well, since real life doesn't have music playing when you cry at sad or emotional events and situations, but the cool thing is, if someone did a remake of that cinematic and added certain comedic sounds to the video at random places, it would likely make you laugh......god, i feel like a nerd now. lol
No need to have music to feel a connection to what is happening if it's something sad but I do believe adding the right music on stuff that is already sad will get more reaction towards the stuff that is happening.

Loooking back at this and than at the showerlands cutsence where him and sylvanas talk about how it felt after he broke out the jailer hold I realizes he forgot about this moment. it may sound weird but there been times his father did horriable things and regrets doing them but he understood he had to move forward an let that be a lesson.
lok'tar ogar fits Varian much better than it fits any Horde hero in the recent past. The king of the Alliance was the one who literally chose Victory or Death, while the Horde only boasts about it.
King Anduin Wrynn finaly became a Paladin, as written in comics.

Strahinja Jevremovic I can really understand your feelings because I play in WoW already 11 years of my life... In the beginning of the game I played for Alliance (5 years), then changed on Horde and still play there. But I respect both factions and feel very sad when something happends.... We are fighting for Azeroth, this our main goal 😞❤

Honestly to me this Cinematic was the strongest of them all.....
Now I already know what it is its just 1 cinematic but seeing characters that I've fought alongside for like 11 years (damn we took a long ride since late Vanilla and early Burning Crusade) and honestly for this it was already hard for me to see my king fall against the hordes of demons
Since that cinematic I've been just fighting against hordes and hordes of demons in Legion but this cinematic now I've found that trinket at the broken isles and did the quest but its easier to watch this cinematic with others.....
At first when I saw this cinematic I was just sad seeing all those peopl that we couldn't save and now seeing Anduin's reaction and when I saw his father's spirit for the first time I was rather close to have some tears in my eyes..... BUT when Anduin Asked "What Am I supposed to do now?" basically asking the same question as any Alliance hero would do Varian Breaking the 4th wall just said "What a King Must Do!" And then I was already fired up and now if I was there I'd have just took up my weapon and would have just charged into the portal without hesitation just from hearing Varian saying that and hearing that theme song
And as Anduin looked up with the eyes of his father I immediately was fired up to do more dungeons more raids more EVERYTHING just to fight for the memory of King Varian my 2nd favorite hero and to fight for my first favorite hero who finally have became a King Anduin Wrynn!

Sofya was crying deeply inside Sofya's heart, and I felt that. What a sentimental creature you are!
But Rodrigo likes the sentimental person because of he/ she makes me feel that is a real flesh and blood, rather than emotionless inorganics.
About the plot, however, there is quite a bit insufficient. It definitely is not supposed to have only on the Alliance side, and it NEEDs to be FIXed ASAP! For now, we players can only expect the next will satisfy our rightful demand.
Sofya has done a lot of great videos. Keep producing, Rodrigo shall watch closely. ^_^
