I watched three of these before someone was smart enough to show that you have to push down on them to get it underneath that upper clip I was saying oh these are too long but you were the only one that was able to explain it properly and I want to thank you for that😅❤
Worth mentioning.. all mine have a stop preventer installed at the top that needs to be removed to allow the window pane to travel to the take-out position. Mine are a simple scrap piece of lightweight C Channel that's cut 2" long and shoved up into the window track at the top. 👍😎✊
This instruction video is excellent. Nevertheless, this is a stupid design. The construction is waiting for a failure starting from day 1. It has to be small, concealed, high-tech and cheap. So durability is taken out of the design equation. No one in his right mind would try to balance a heavy window on a spring held in place by a flimsy cord which carries FOUR times the spring force. Yet, as long as it works during the warranty period it is fine.
This was really very clear and helpful. Thank you so much!

I just did some old spiral type balances yesterday, whoever came up with the modern block and tackle balance rods was a genius. Nice stuff dude.
If you have the right tool for the spiral ones they are not too bad, but those are not my favorite
