Heck yeah. We just a bought a mobile home that needs repairs. I was trying to find the simplest way to replace the windows and this was incredibly helpful. Very simple and easy
Great video. Not a bunch of fluff, fast forward thru the boring parts and focused on the stuff that mattered. Really helped me not be so intimidated to take this project on. Thanks!!!
Man, this is the best window 🪟 video. Short and to the point. You didn't leave any steps out. Explained the inside and outside steps. Can you do a video on cutting out a panel in the mobile home to make a custom window?
Great job bro keep up the good work. Just what I needed to know haven't seen all your videos but u should make one preview of this one how to measure for a window then the follow up with this video but great job all the way homie from phx az
@@AlexRubioRQualityGlass no problem glad your doing what you enjoy and helping people as you do it I watched your other video on how to replace a double pane window and you literally are saving me hundreds of dollars because I'm going to do the job my self keep it up. 💯💯💯
On the reveal adjustment, is that shimming the frame to adjust the reveal or just using screws to hold the shape? Can one measure corner to corner to check for squareness?
I need my bedroom window replaced in my manufactured home and the window sill on the bottom left is rotted from the previous owner had an air conditioner in the window. How would I replace the sill?
No! After replacing hundreds of windows I can tell you that tape doesn’t last long but you do need a good type of caulking cuz that also makes a big difference
Oh man!! There different ways to measure depending on type of window but if you’re measuring the rough opening measure you’re opening and deduct 1/2 inche for adjustment
Great video do you have a question the window I installing has a lip at the bottom which leaves about a half inch Gap at the bottom just trying to make sure I install the window properly any information would be helpful thank you so much
Okay if it’s what I’m thinking about it’s just more a cosmetic look nothing to do with sealing the window. If you decide to put up window trim you can stuff the trim behind that lip specifically if u use that particle board trim it should fit right under it with its thickness
Hi Alex! I wish I could watch a video somewhere that shows how to install vinyl plastic where a screen once was. I keep getting ripples and its annoying.
@@AlexRubioRQualityGlass it's like a product called glassine. It's a plastic that replaces the screen and uses a V spline instead of a round one. I have done a few windows and I get ripples...gr
you don't really need a special widow for a manufactured home. I think most of the time they will have storm windows installed and so you can replace them with a new storm window. Or, a better choice in my opinion is just like this window...a new construction window. It is called a new construction window because it has that flange around it. Much better looking and more energy efficient than storm windows.
This is a modular home and that is how they come from factory! If it was a stick built house then The in installation of the window is done way before the siding is ever installed

Do manufactured homes need flashing on the 2x4 window opening before caulking and installing window?
Once again great job A/R going to order me some window for a house manufacturer do I need to measure the depth in or are they standard thank u
Yeah measure depth some new windows are thicker than others
I need my bedroom window replaced in my manufactured home and the window sill on the bottom left is rotted from the previous owner had an air conditioner in the window. How would I replace the sill?

How did you measure for this window? From inside?
what type of window is this?
Where are you located?
Eatty pretty good

See he called where the other videos did not call this Guy's window won't leak great job
Thanks for watching
Calked his window
We're you able to find standard windows, or did the have to be made for your specific sizes?
They make standard ones or they can make custom sizes
You totally forgot the butyl tape. The silicone will leak
Great video do you have a question the window I installing has a lip at the bottom which leaves about a half inch Gap at the bottom just trying to make sure I install the window properly any information would be helpful thank you so much
Is that extra lip on the outside part of the window and is it 1/4 to 3/8 lip
@@AlexRubioRQualityGlass yes it's between 1/4 and 3/8 it is on the inside

Are these mobile home windows or house windows?
This one here was a mobile home!!
Looks like you installed a nail fin on top of the siding good luck when water gets trapped behind the fin
This is a modular home and that is how they come from factory! If it was a stick built house then The in installation of the window is done way before the siding is ever installed
Thank you for the good observation though
@@AlexRubioRQualityGlass not sure what is behind the siding but typically you would want the nail fin behind the siding.
@erikw113 not an a mobile home, That’s why there is trim installed on top of the nail fin and also caulked after installing the trim
@erikw113 if you watched from the beginning you could see the nail fin is on top of the siding
You didn't tape it
That’s mostly only done on new construction
put a battery in your smoke detector
BEEP
You should prime the bare wood
How do i do that and what is it purpose
