very impressive. You may have heard of the casts i sell online. Known as "firewire thomas casts". im planning on sending mine from the uk to coat of chrome in the us. but this looks not that difficult. i just cant keep trying to do everything myself though. first i wanted a daft punk helmet, then thats led to me making it myself,learning how to mold, learning electronics, learning how to use cad etc etc... its needs to stop! This now requires a clear coat before it can be handled?
Do you have to have a certain base material on it? I'm really interested in getting a Daft Punk helmet and then chroming it after the fact. If it is painted, would I have to sand it down to the original resin material? Or can I just chrome it as is?

It's chrome and then you add a gold candy directly to your clearcoat and Ithats what gives it the gold effect

Awesome Man thanks for the how to video your method seems legit enough the chrome looks great but was it gold chrome or just chromed?
if you wipe off the final product with a micro fiber cloth will it scratch easily ?
